This review is for people who dont want to be given the run-around, people who want clear and concise customer service and for people who expect to get what they pay for. A little background, I NEVER write reviews. If I dont like a place I just dont go back. However, Dell is so terrible, so inept at customer service that I feel its my obligation to tell people so they dont make the same mistake. Really, you do not need to read any more reviews. If I were to tell you about a good restaurant then you can take it to the bank the food and service are excellent. If I tell you about bad customer service you can bank on that as well. I would write specifics, but there a four different issues and they cover the categories of Sales, Technical Support and Customer Service. I would rank Dell the lowest possible rating in a three categories. I hope Ive stressed this enough. It has already taken up too much of my life. If you want to stay on the phone for countless hours over a few days then go ahead, buy Dell.

A Private User
I have a Dell laptop with extended warranty. I had problem installing a Dell router I bought online. It took me 45 minutes to talk to actual technical support. The guy had no clue with he was doing, he kept playing with the application while I was watching on screen for more than an hour. He created a couple of problems in computer network connection that I didnt have before calling them. All he could do was to fix the problems he created. After more than an hour when he asked the same question for three to four times in a row I asked for his manager. The guy who was supposed to be the manager was way worse than the other guy. I suspect the first guy just transferred me to another technical support guy. Finally after two hours I had it enough and told them I am done with them and he told me they can not help me if I dont trust them. I got a huge cell phone bill for that conversation.

Ive ordered my dell laptop 3 times with dell and they canceled my order 3 times and took my money all 3 times and I cant get ahold of anyone to give me my money back. I asked for a supervisor over and over until the employees decided to block my number. Now I cant reach Dell unless i call from a different number. Do not order a laptop from Dell. Worst mistake in my life. Worst customer service ever.

If I can rate dell below zero I would. Their customer service is so bad. Laptops are crappy. Dont ever buy from dell.
