After having the worst experience at CarMax, I decided to give it one last chance. I came in to sell my used car and purchase a newer used car. I met Mike Wade as I was walking up to the main entrance. He was so friendly and approachable. I felt very comfortable with him. He got right to the details with no games. Every question I had, he had a very valid answer. I had done my research and knew of these slick salesmen and what to look out for especially being a single woman. There was absolutely no BS about him. His knowledge, and obvious experience was very apparent. He asked me specific questions and led me right to the car I was looking for. He did not try to sell me, or use the tactics that so many of these salesmen use. I knew right away that he was sincere and was looking out for my best interest. He took wonderful care of me, and went out of his way to allow me to drive the car with no obligations for two days while I decided. Mike is the man! If I ever have any friends that are looking for cars I will send them to Mike. I trust him and the respect he gave me was very important. Mike is the man I will look for when Im ready to purchase another car. He took his time to explain how the car worked. Helped me setup everything. I can tell you from experience; purchasing many cars in my past that this is a man SouthBay Ford is lucky to have on their team. His experience, intelligence and sincere care for his clients is so obvious. He really made me feel at ease. I do have a brother who is in the industry and did work for Ford at one time. He gave me all signs to look for etc. In the end, my brother told me the deal for my trade and the price he was able to work with was very fair. My brother was very impressed. To anyone out there, GO TO MIKE WADE! Dont waste your time with these sleaze balls that only care about their commission! My second review is for Araceli Conde who is the Finance Manager. She was adorable, honest and very informative. I had many questions regarding the extended warranties. She broke everything down for me so I could really understand. She was honest, and did steer me away from a few that would not be beneficial of me. Again, SouthBay Ford is very lucky to have her on board with this team. She is a real gem! She explained in detail and answered all my questions. She was honest and pointed out items on other plans that may not have worked for me. Mike and Araceli Conde work well as a team! For the first time with all the purchases Ive had over the years, Ive never come across such wonderful true, honest good people that are doing their job because not only do they enjoy what they do, the really do care having people satisfied. "As good as it gets" ... To anyone scanning these reviews, many of the lower stars are because of things not related to the Sales or New Cars dept. (Slow cafe service, Used car problems 2 yrs after purchase, slow service, etc). The positive reviews are from people (like me) who have purchased or leased cars from the dealership. We are happy and recommend this place and its people. No one likes to go to a dealership to get a new car. Youve usually been out of the game for awhile and have to catch up on the latest techy stuff and compare old models to new models, etc. And you typically have to do this with some greaseball breathing down your neck the whole time. My experience with Hawthorne Ford was "As good as it gets." I live 2 hours away (without traffic) and I called to try to work out many of the details over the phone so I didnt have to drive for nothing. When I did this with other dealerships my time was severely wasted. I WISH I STARTED WITH HAWTHORNE FORD. I spoke to ADOLFO TOLEDO. In short he is like the Criss Angel of cars. He is amazing, mind-blowing and inspiring. He worked tirelessly before he even saw my face, ran numbers and got me excited enough about 2 different cars to make the drive the next day. Marlon Montenegro was the sales guy who met me and showed me around. He was patient and took the time to understand what we were looking for. HE found my car .. I didnt. I will never forget the look on his face when he came up to me (a few hours after looking and driving) and said, "I FOUND THE PERFECT CAR FOR YOU!!!" He was right - it was more car, with more features than I expected at a lower price than I expected. DAN MUELLER and ADOLFO were amazing at crunching numbers and getting the deal done. The last guy I sat with was MIKE PREMEAUX, the finance manager. He is probably one of that last to go home and I know that by 8:30p when I was all done shopping, we were both tired and ready to go home. Yet signing all the docs and finalizing the deal was a breeze; it was fun and Mike was not pushy or impatient in any way. He was the perfect ending to a successful and enjoyable trip to the dealership. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME. GIVE THESE GUYS THEIR CHANCE. ITS A FAMILY-OWNED, ONE OWNER DEALERSHIP. THEY ARE PASSIONATE ABOUT THEIR CARS AND COMPASSIONATE WITH THEIR CUSTOMERS. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

We bought a Ford F150 truck (used) at South Bay Ford last week and this dealership was so impressive in every respect that I had to write a review. Let me first say that I am no stranger to buying a car. I have bought a dozen cars in the last 5 years, both new and used, and so when I came down to South Bay Ford, I expected the usual high pressure sales pitch to up-sell us on custom floor mats, dealer-installed puzzle nuts for the wheels, dealer-added alarm, custom paint protection package, extended warranty, etc. etc. These items are often used to add profit to the car sale. We walked in and were super impressed with the size and feel of this dealership. Its HUGE! They said they move around 600 cars per month, so we figured they must be doing something right. The customer showroom is elegant and comfortable. We had driven over an hour, passing several other Ford dealerships, to buy the truck, which was a Certified Pre-owned at such a good price we thought there had to be a catch. There wasnt. The invoice was exactly what we had discussed on the phone. We walked in, were very kindly and professionally welcomed to the dealership, and were offered water and coffee. Michael Gallion the sales manager was there to greet us, and we went to see the truck. It was exactly as advertised, clean and beautiful, fully detailed, with no visible or mechanical issues. We drove it, went back inside, and met with the financing specialist John Barnes. Both were super helpful, no pressure about anything, no up-selling, and they explained each and every step of the purchase process. In the end, we left feeling elated that we got a great price on a great Ford truck, with no back-and-forth haggling (we had worked out the purchase price over the phone). I would not hesitate to buy from this dealership. Their vehicles are well-priced and the customer service is over the top. From what we hear, they have a very well respected service department too. 5 Stars for South Bay Ford.
