My husband and I took our two big dogs here for the self-dog wash. The wash was great, huge selection of shampoos and conditioners for the pups. Afterwards, we were going to buy a couple Gentle Leader collars for our boys, and one of the employees actually recommended a different harness. We werent really sure, but the employee actually took it out of the package and let us walk our dogs around the store with it to try it out. We really liked it, so we decided to buy two. When we got up to the register, though, the credit card machine was broken. We didnt have enough cash for everything, so we were going to just come back the next day to buy the collars . . . but the manager told us not to worry about that, and instead he comped both of the dog washes. The salesman was very eager about the harness, so I was initially worried that Pet Extreme was a place thats into overselling. But once they comped the dog washes, I decided that theyre just the kind of place thats really into helping their customers. We were very happy with their service. They had a fantastic selection of good quality dog foods (which are of course more expensive than Kibbles n Bits... but that is because they are not made of 90% cardboard), lots of different grooming tools, and a good selection of training collars and harnesses. It probably is a bit more expensive than Petco/Smart, but I found the selection of good quality foods and products to actually be a lot better than any of the big box stores weve ever gone to. And when the service is also excellent, I say thats worth a couple extra bucks.

I dont normally write reviews on places, but I had such a pleasant experience here I just had to!!! First off, its a small store, but dont let that fool you. They have a lot of selection! Especially for for dog food! I asked the gentleman upfront what he recommended for dogs with allergies and he gave me a lot of helpful information and i made a switch to a different brand (fingers crossed that it helps!) They had a huge sale going on with coupons and discounts galore. I got a lot of little things, plus dog food and only ended up paying 25!!! My bill came out to over 50 without any discounts!! Overall customer service was great and I definitely will be returning with my fur baby for a quick wash at their grooming station! :)

A lot of selection to pick from for dogs and cats (many brands). Other pets, cheaper prices can be found elsewhere. I mainly went for aquarium supplies and dog food but saw that they were charging almost $10 more than what I could get a certain item for at another LFS in town. Some items are okay priced but at least half are more than other LFS or online so shop around locally unless you do not care. Also, one of the employees was looking at me like I was going to steal something just because I was carrying a reusable bag for grocery shopping after checking out this store. Not going to use my money if you look at me like that just because I am a different race or how I dress.

Really poor selection and dont even get me started on the service. I asked the cashier, in a sarcastic tone, if he even liked pets? He responded, "Meh...too much work." Ive yet to encounter a single employee that has even the slightest hint passion for animals. Management needs to secret shop this location. Staffed by cashier-fly, zero help, zero knowledge employees makes my recent purchase, my last.

This place is an excellent store to take your dog for a dog wash. Big tubs, waist high, shampoos, towels. First class. The staff was helpful (and not very busy) when I had a question. A fine place to spend my money. I still wouldnt buy dog food or anything else there. There are still above the going prices in the area, perhaps to get a good margin to afford the rent and fig garden?

Since they sold the business the selection is horrible. They are always out of something, food is stale, and the quality of some of their signature items is low as opposed to before when it was made with high quality durable material. The staff isnt very knowledgeable about food. I am definitely taking my business somewhere else. When you sell out, it shows.

This is a really nice pet store, bigger and less fancy than the small boutiques, but smaller than your big chain pet stores like Petco and Petsmart. They have a good selection of food, toys, beds, medication, and even clothing and coats for your pets. The staff is very friendly and helpful and always available right away to help.

First - the phone number listed here is connected to a FAX, not a voice line. :( The mgr refused to order food my dog was not allergic to, even tho the store carried that brand, just not the ingredients I wanted. I was very unhappy and decided to feed a raw diet and I have not been back.

This is the best place to take your pet for do it yourself dog bath. Included is a selection of shampoos and conditioners, towels, and a professional dryer. Oh yeah, and your bathroom is still free of that wet dog smell. Worth every penny.

Love the doggie washing stations...go there fairly frequently as my big dogs are hard to bathe at home...the treats and food they carry are high end (yes, cost more) but are the best nutrition, and of course, are my spoiled pups favorites!
