Overpriced auto dealer, great if you need a car asap and dont care what kind you get. They get all of their cars from the auctions so even if they look nice they are hit and miss. My experience was negative but not the worst. Friendly staff but you know theyre just trying to make their sales, I get it. Longer story below if you want to know more. I went here to get a car, and despite having somewhat decent credit, (an average blank score- above 500 but below 600), they only had two cars they could offer me on the most bottom of the barrel because I had too many credit lines. Ok, thats fine. The problems occurred with two facts: the fact that a blue book value car of 2-3k from 2000 was going to cost me 12,000k in the next 4 years - about $380 a month - not including the outrageous prices Insurance was trying to charge for it being a financed used car - and the fact that despite there being a warranty towing was not included and it was a junker. They try to explain theyre trying to do low credit people a "service" by getting them a car and "helping" them to build credit but you can do better and save the money a $700 a month car expense would cost, (The price of car payment- the only thing that gets you credit, registration, gas, repairs youll definitely need, and financed auto insurance), by getting jewelry from Kays and selling it on the streets or to a pawn to get half of your money back. But hey if you REALLY NEED a car, thats how they get you. When it started during the test drive it rattled and I thought it was just the spark plugs. It was dark when I drove out of the lot so I wasnt able to check then what was a corroded battery, a transmission that had issues, and a motor mount that needed fixed but wasnt "broken" yet. They include a warranty with their cars but its only if it breaks down and the motor or transmission is shot. Not if your windows wont roll down or if it came with a broken low light headlight, or if you know the issues they cover with warranty need to be replaced soon. That means if you know its about to break you have to wait until you break down in order to get it fixed for their further 67$ "Co pay". Towing is not included. Towing is not cheap and breaking down is never a reliable or safe experience. The best thing about this business is that it allowed me to see for a seven day trial if I liked the vehicle or not because a 20 minute test drive doesnt give enough time to assess if its a good buy or not, if the transmission light comes on over a set of tall hills, or if youre willing to put up with the hassle of "is it going to break today" guessing games. This is what makes them reputable and if they ever get rid of it, I wouldnt go there at all. But it truly allows you to know if you want it or not and if you dont, they give your entire deposit back. Awesome possum. So while my experience was lackluster, give it a try; and if you like it, and really need a car, and are ok with paying a bunch for 4 years on a car because you really need one, have bad credit, but just finally got that $26 an hour job youve been looking for - try it out. :)

They sell you horrible useless cars. Yes they sound good and run good but only for about 2 days. Then youll be directed to either royal auto body shop or mission auto. I bought my POS car from richmond carhop 2 years ago havent been able to drive my car 1 WEEK STRAIGHT. They dont care about the customer at all. When you call them to tell them your car is in the shop all they say is OK well your next payment is due blah blah blah like I HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO DRIVE MY CAR SINCE IVE BOUGHT IT 2 YEARS AGO! Its been sitting in front of my house in my driveway when they repo my car it was on 2 flats and not registered. They are SCAM ARTIST !!! DO NOT BUY OR LEASE A P.O.S CAR FROM CARHOP. THEY RUIN CREDIT THEY DONT HELP YOU!! I even talked to a former CARHOP EMPLOYEE He said AND I QUOTE " WE DONT SELL YOU A CAR WE SELL YOU A CONTRACT" Also going to another body shop he said AND I QUOTE " I STOPPED TAKING CARHOP CARS BECAUSE THEY WERE JUNK AND I CAN NOT FIX JUNK ALL THE CARS WERE JUNK" PLEASE HEAD THIS WARNING AMD DONT F×$K UP YOUR CREDIT FOR A P.O.S JUNK CAR . DO NOT GO TO CARHOP AND IF YOU HAVE PLEASE TAKE IT BACK YOU WILL NOT BE HAPPY!

CarHop Daly City was a great and easy experience because of the pleasant workers there especially Mike and Alex who provided me with excellent service. Honestly walking in CarHop I was a little hesitant because of my situation and if I was going to get a car, but the moment I walked in there they gave me the confidence that I will get approved and I did. I definitely recommend this place for anyone trying to get a vehicle on a bad credit because they work really hard to get you on the road again.

I bought a car bad experience check engine light came on and there were several other things wrong with the vhicle i apent the next weeks trying to get it repaired at several different shops only to get it back worst than it was they dis not repair it in the 30 days they said they had they also refuse to take it back and refund my money i will be seeking legal action against them. Also they charge an outrages amount of mo ey for old cars with high mileage

I was doubtful that I could get in any car after have some major medical issues that put my credit in a very deep hole but, I went to the Daly City, CarHop anyway and Ms, Sandra Him, worked a true miracle and put me in a really nice van. I know she worked extra hard again because of my lousy credit report but, today, I actually drove off the lot in the first van I test drove. I LOVE IT! Thank you Sandra, you really are a miracle worker. Thank you again.

At first, I was hopeless as far as leaving with a car Id be satisfied with. But in the end, I left with something cute and nice and although it wasnt what I was looking for, I can work with it.
