I am a former/current customer and I brought my bike in for a complete tune up . Mechanic seemed helpful. my rating right now is for the sales people. i will change stars after I receive my bike. After i was finished with mechanic i did a little browsing and I noticed that they were selling smart bike trainers(Wahoo Snap) . 1 of the salespeople helped me when i got his attention. I precede to ask questions about the product and how it works (Specifically calibrating the unit to an Ipad or computer). his response was that they are a good trainer. Basically he had no knowledge about the trainer and that it was a smart trainer. He asked another salesperson if it was capable of communicating to technology and he responded yes. So when I asked for some guidance on how to calibrate the trainer to computer his response was basically the same. after a little conversation i finally said i guess i will have to do the research myself to find out about calibration issues. And they basically agreed and that I should look at the website. to get my answers. I am disappointed that the staff was not as knowledgeable about the product that they carry and were not helpful in helping me get the answers that i need. I am going to buy the smart trainer for sure just not sure that i will get it from here. Still deciding whether to purchase the Wahoo Snap or Wahoo. Here is my updated review for the mechanic. Brought my bike in for a overhaul to replace everything since I had not ridden it in a few years on same day(Tuesday) I looked at the smart trainers. The mechanic seemed nice and let me know what needed to be done to get my bike in tip top condition again. I also ordered a new stem in addition to complete overhaul. Based on my needs the mechanic said I would have my bike on Friday all they would need is to have the stem come in so they can finish up. Came in on Saturday thinking the bike would be done and it was but they forgot to put the stem on that I ordered. Mechanic said I could take it if I want for now cuz the soonest they could see it done was Tuesday. I told him to hold onto the bike until it was complete. So overall I was satisfied with the job that was done but they did not complete job when promised due to forgetting to put the stem on. So I added 2 more stars.

Working with Anthony and the guys at Summit Bikes (Eric Dustin and Nick) has been a FAB Experience. First of all they listened to what I was looking for in a TT bike and didnt try to up sell or recommend a bike that would not work. The criteria that was used in selecting a shop was Partnership, Knowledge, Fit, Customer Service, Price and Post Sales Service. After looking at many bike shops in the bay area and knowing that I was about to invest over $5k in a TT bike I was lucky if I got 2 of the 6. They also know how to work with Age Groupers like myself and the demands of what HIM or IM distance tris can do to the body. Thanks for making my purchase so positive and love the bike you built !

Been to Summit on two separate occasions. Both times have been disappointing experiences. First time, a tattooed mechanic with two African earrings gave me an attitude on servicing a bike that I had bought at Summit a couple years back. The second time, I phoned in to see if they have in stock a Saris Bones II bike rack. Guy over the phone told me they did. When I came into the store half hour later a salesman told me they didnt have any in stock but tried to sell me a floor sample at full price. Last time I go to Summit.

Purchased my first serious cycling bike here. It was expensive but the attentive and knowledgeable sales person was worth it. Bonus is that my bike purchase included lifetime maintenance. So, Ive been back 3 times to check-up on my bike and its been awesome. Highly recommended.

Super helpful staff and fast service. I came in with a flat tire and asked for new tubes and tires and was out the door in 20 minutes in time to catch my train (its right by the caltrain so awesome for commuters). Will definitely come back for future parts/service.

Comprehensive service and attention to detail. In the 8 years Ive owned my bike, they are the first to recommend new gear cables. Made a world of difference. Just got a tune up and the bike is running like a dream. Gears shift life butter.

Bought every bike I have today there. Every employee is an active cyclist and know what you need. They will make sure you buy what you really need and tell you if its just fluff. They share your passion for bikes.

I visited this shop at the end of a bike tour and got a box for my bike here. They charged me $20! For a box they were going to throw away. The people were nice enough but still that is ridiculous.

Very helpful guys here. Patient with all my questions. Some items very well priced. Others seem a bit pricey so you have to pick carefully.

Bought two bikes and had them in service there. Excellent and friendly service, even when I had a warranty issue with my wheel. Awesome!

They told me on the phone that they would put my bike together no charge. I just moved here and when i brought the box in they reneged.

bike purchases include tune-ups, and they have nice staff that organize a great Thanksgiving day Turkey ride.
