I just purchased my first motorcycle in 20 years, a used Honda VTX 1300. I took it to Western Honda for an oil change and an inspection. I worked on my computer while they serviced and inspected it. The service manager, Jason, was such a nice guy. He kept coming over to me and telling me things about my motorcycle and asking questions. When I bought the bike, the previous owner told me that the bike had an annoying buzz sound, but the previous owners repair shop could not fix it. Jason and his tech took my bike for test rides and they determined that the sound was caused by the aftermarket highway bars that were installed too close to the horn. At highway speeds, the wind pushed the horn just enough to touch the bars and cause the buzz sound. Jason relocated the horn and the annoying buzz is gone! Yea! I was very happy with the service and the final bill was very reasonable. I will take my motorcycle here from now on for service. Now, here is the kicker: I used to be a sales rep and I know how the business works. As I was waiting for my motorcycle, I worked on my computer using their wireless Internet. I sat on their couch that was located right next to the sales reps desk. Literally, I could stand up, reach, and touch the sales rep. I waited for two hours while the service manager rode my motorcycle and ran tests and serviced my bike. During those two hours, I overhead the sales rep returning calls to potential customers. I also watch the two sales reps helping customers as they visited the store and sat on motorcycles. I was so incredibly impressed. Both sales reps were very low key and low pressure. They patiently showed the customers different motorcycles and made appropriate recommendations. One customer tried to low-ball the sales rep. The sales rep worked with his manager and they offered him the amount he requested for his trade-in and offered him a good price for the new bike. I thought that the customer was going to make the purchase, but the customer said that he wanted to think about it. No problem. No pressure. The sales rep said that they will be there when he is ready to make the purchase. Wow. I also heard the sales rep tell a customer on the phone that he will get a good price on the motorcycle and 15% off all parts and accessories for life. I apologized to the sales rep for eavesdropping and I said "for life?" The sales rep said yes because they want lifetime customers. He said that the shop is a family owned business and the owner wants lifetime customers. As I was leaving, I saw the owner. He is a big guy -- he reminds me of my brother-in-law. He told the sales rep and the service people that he bought lunch for everyone and told them to come back and grab a bite to eat. Wow, it felt really good to see all of this. I wish all companies were run like this one. The employees seemed happy to work there. I was treated like gold. The customers that were looking at bikes were given respect and sincere assistance. I can tell you that when it is time for me to buy my next bike, I will come here and I will work with either sales rep. They were both very knowledgeable and very nice.

I was in the market to purchase a Honda F6B. After price checking around I settled on Western Honda. I will say the price was good. That was the best I can say. I ended up settling on a 2 yr. leftover model for a smaller discount. There was a slight delay on the ready date of the motorcycle. No big deal. I was a little bummed, but thats not a big situation. The real situation was when I went to get the bike. Supposed to be a great day. Not really. After sitting around for an hour waiting on the paperwork people, just to take all of 10 minutes (if that) to sign a few pieces of paper. I was not financing anything so it was going to be a quick one. I got the bike. I was Happy. I jumped on her. Rode her about 5 miles down the street and the check engine lite (I thought, turned out to be the fuel system lite) came on. Turned around and went back to the dealership. Talked to the salesman. He jiggled the gas cap a little and took it for a quick spin and said it should be fine. I proceeded to take it about 200 yards down the street and the check engine lite (again, not the engine but the fuel lite) came on again. So I brought her back. They brought the bike to the mechanics shop and that was that. 3 Hours after I went to buy my bike my wife was picking me up without my brand new bike. @ 4:00 (on sat) I got a call that the fuel had been flushed and the bike had been ridden and everything seemed ok. I couldnt get a ride down there till the following Sat so I said that they could trailer the bike to me. That occurred the following Tues. Personally I think it should have happened on Sat night or Sunday. Well, Tuesday I got the bike. Thank God. Finally. She runs! For a brand new bike (50 or so miles that I did not put on her :( ) The bike was DIRTY. Water spots on the bike. Not thrilled about that. There are some marks on the paint which I would point out to a sales person. Also, it has been almost 1 week (6 days) since the bike was dropped off, and not 1 follow up call to make sure the bike made it ok or if there are any issues. I would not recommend going to western Honda to purchase a motorcycle nor will I to purchase my next. It is worth paying the little extra for the peace of mind. Update: After posting this review here and on yelp, the yelp review disappeared. I was contacted by Western Honda to attempt to make good on their "wrongs". I was given a $100 GC and the salesman who I worked with was able to work the marks out of the paint with some polish. He also gave the bike a quick wipe over as well. Due to this effort I raised my rating 2 stars. As far as the bike goes, its running great and I have no complaints there.

I bought my new 2011 cbr1000rr abs from western Honda. My situation was very difficult to process due to me being deployed in Afghanistan. I had called then up letting them.know I was Interested in bike but I still had about two months.left in my deployment. They said they will do all they can to help me through this long process. Sure.enough they did. They was only able to contact me via email and they still strived to help me get the bike I wanted so bad. They said they would hold thebike for a 1000 depositand.I went.with it. Throughout thewhole time we kept contact and they keep updating me on my bike as well as providing me pictures of my soon to be bike. To make things even better, I ordered parts from western Honda and asked to get it put on for me so when ipick up the bike it will already be installed. They did that for me as well and I was very pleased. They even advised for specific parts to fulfil the performance I was looking for. When I got to the dealer the bike was outside waiting for me to get on it and claim her. It was as smooth as I hope it would be due to me living in Tucson and not having flexible days to go uptown Phoenix a second time that week. Overall, the dealership and Brian McClain (stuck with me throughout thewhole thing to get me the sale) were very patient and considerate that I was deployed and wanted the. BIke regardless of the hassel it was. I recommend this dealer to anyone who wants top line Honda bikes as well as a superb service that makkes you feel very welcomed. How is the bike? It is as I dreamed. The part I had them put was a full exhaust with a power commander. It runs very smooth and powerful. No leaks what so ever. Great installation service as well as parts. Thanks you western Honda for helping me out and Im very appreciative. Continue to provide your customers with a wide smile on their faces. Military friendly dealer
