Horrible experience. Went in to make laser copies of photos and other images for art projects {not as simple as copying pages of text}, and the copy machines take practice/have their issues. When I checked out at the copy center register, I was put through a stupid,enormous hassle over how many laser copies Id thrown away. Yet Id been told by the same copy employee Id only pay for what I didnt throw away. Id made a point to ask about that because I wanted to be sure I understood what I would be responsible for. They never indicated that after "x-amount" of throw-aways you might get charged for some of them. During the argument with the manager and copy employee, they had other bizarre complaints. Like how many people had helped me. Yes ? And your point is, what ? Complaining because a customer needed help ? Really ? They said Id declined having the copy person make copies for me. So, its an issue if you want to make your own copies ? Since when ? What I was doing involved making changes to images, I preferred to handle that myself. Why should I have to explain, or apologize ? Everyone {two employees and one store manager} I spoke to had an attitude while I was in the process of making the copies...if I needed help they were snotty about it,as if I shouldnt be there {miffed because I wanted to do my own copies ?}. One copy machine issue, {that I was apparently blamed for}, is that unless the ratio is highlighted first, the copy machine will read that as the NUMBER OF COPIES to print. Lets say you want to increase a size by 200. So the copy machine started spitting out a ton of copies and I was calling for help since it obviously needed to be stopped. This was apparently "blamed" on me, although customers are free to use the machines and obviously learn as they go. I told the manager he ought to talk to his employee about the way terms were changed at check-out.They change rules to suit themselves.There are no guidelines posted anywhere. Not all prices are posted regarding various sizes of copy paper, either. In the end though, they ended up not charging me for anything. It was free. But after the hassle they put me through Ill never go back {Id been planning on buying a lot of cardboard boxes from them}.The manager refused to admit the copy employee shouldnt have have changed "rules" on me at check-out. Ganging up on a customer is pretty tacky, especially when the issue involves an employee changing terms as he goes along, with full support from the manager. Dont try to charge me for copies that get thrown away after telling me Ill only pay for what I dont throw away. Know what youre talking about and certainly dont blame your lack of clarity on customers. Ive worked in retail before and the way they both stood there and tried to talk me down as if I were a criminal was a complete disgrace.

While looking at outrageously priced envelopes I notice a tag announcing that Office Max will price match Amazon. I brought the box of envelopes $49.99 to the counter and showed the employee the envelopes on Amazon for $19.99. She called her manager (name starting in B) and he proceeded to explain they will not match this price because its not an Office Max product. The sign announcing price match is in an isle FULL of Office Max brand shipping supplies. This is a PRIME example of why Amazon will put these stores in the ground. Terrible customer service and policies. My 2 small businesses just quit shopping at this establishment.

I could not believe the level of customer service that I received at this OfficeMax location. I received 110% amazing customer service from the manager, Andy, when I came in to have my defective laptop looked at. I had lost my receipt and couldnt remember when I had purchased my product and was not sure if it was still under warranty. Andy was not only able to find my transaction history but also able to get me into a brand new laptop that day. I have never seen such awesome customer service!

Management team was amazing and very helpful. Trish honored a online coupon without even hesitating. Got my epic desk 2 days later by delivery (huge, no way I could manage it in my car) and just finalized now. Very happy!
