My experience was horrible! I went in with a ton of clothes that my kids had outgrown, I took a laundry basket full and 4 completely stuffed Ikea bags with a medium sized box that had a complete book set, clothes with the tags still on them, never been worn, and an electronic toy. The "assistant" manager was grabbing clumps of clothes at a time not even looking at the clothes just trying to get done with our stuff. We were there at 4:15pm and they apparently "stop buying" at 5pm, but dont close until 7pm. I am 38 weeks pregnant and started to get shaky, so I had to leave to get some food. My kids werent listening and I yelled at my children for not listening to me, and the "manager" asked me "not to use profanity in her store" to which I responded, " Okay, I will try not to". She then turned to the assistant manager and told her not to go through all of our stuff, which later I heard her making sure the assistant manager had heard her request, and she nodded. After I left with my children, My husband had brought it up to the assistant manager and she argued with him that she did look at everything, even though we were watching her not go through it all, and even after I got home and went through it, noticing that pieces werent even looked at becasue they were still folded the way that I folded them. The assistant manager then procedded to tell my Husband that him and I were lucky that they even went through our kids old clothes, that she didnt want to and next time she wont if we bring in such a large amount so close to their buying hours being over. Then she complained that she doesnt work nights but we have been to the store multiple times and she is always working when we stop by, which is always after 4pm. Horrible customer service. They make it seem like this job is just a check and not an enjoyment of being able to help parents with multiple children. I will not be returning to Kid to Kid, I will be using Once Upon a Child, they actually look through your stuff and enjoy a good conversation!

On 7/15/17, I was at this store for the first time and will never ever return. I experienced a couple of issues. Upfront I told the guy that was assisting me, I want to know the prices you are giving me for each piece. He said that would be no problem. Well when it came time for them to price my items the lady told me she couldnt do every piece as it would take to long. She did tell me the price on like 4 dresses and I decided to keep them despite what the guy had said. I stood and watched the lady ring every thing up from the time she started ringing up my items. I accepted a very low ball price for CLOTHES ONLY!!!!!! I NEVER RECEIVED anything for the SHOES they took out of my bag. Once we packed the items not accepted in my vehicle I noticed my shoe bag more than half way empty. I had to go inside the store twice and let them know I had shoes missing. One of the workers argued me down saying no one took anything out. I told her yes you did and described like 4 pairs of shoes I noticed missing. The lady ringing up the items said I didnt ring up any shoes. I said I know you didnt I was standing there. Her co-worker was called to the front and stated she did remove shoes from the bag and they were sat to the side. The lady that priced my items started looking in bins and said oh I did ring them up. I told her no you did not ring up any shoes on my ticket. She said well I have tickets for them. I said okay, but that wasnt with my transaction. They mixed my items with the lady before me and didnt give me credit for all my items which had me highly upset. Customers are already ripped off for the amount they give for our items vs. the money they are making off of used items. I accepted a very low ball price for CLOTHES ONLY!!!!!! I NEVER RECEIVED anything for the SHOES they took out of my bag.

Very rude. I am calling corporate in the morning. I walked in and dropped my things off and they said to feel free to roam the store and I asked how long it would take and said I was leaving. They called back and Samantha was very rude in the phone saying I wasnt supposed to leave the store and now Im holding up a line of people. So I go in and Lisa was the one to check me out. They gave me my money and said I was all set without explaining what they took or how much they bought it for. When I asked they were very rude in answering. I told them they should have explained the process better so that I knew to stay. So Lisa very rudely told me to take my stuff and give the money back. She held out her hand for the money to which I said I would give her when I received my things back. Which she rolled her eyes at and stomped away to roughly grab my things. They did however help me to get out of the store quicker by helping to bring my things out. They also bought my things for way less than I could have sold them at a yard sale. They also were not wearing shoes and their feet were black. Overall very rude and very disgusting.

I’ve personally shopped (and sold) at Kid to Kid and now, Uptown Cheapskate, many times in the last 2 years. It is an outstanding business with very generous and reasonable owners, Deron and Michelle. I first started going there to sell stuff, because at the time, I had been out of work for 18 months, and as a single dad, I was struggling to pay the bills. He knew my story, and was always very generous about how much he paid me, and I suspect that he even bought some stuff that he knew he couldn’t resell. One time, around Christmas, 2 years ago, I came to the store to sell some stuff, and he pulled me aside and asked if I had any presents for my son. Without even blinking, he gave me $100 worth of free stuff! Now $100 worth of free stuff goes really far at Kid to Kid! Would Babies R Us or Walmart do that? These businesses are a part of the NW Valley community, and the owners try to be as generous and reasonable as possible. I highly recommend supporting this local, family owned business!

If I could give negative stars I would give NEGATIVE 10!!!! This place is basically a highway robbery in effect! I went to sell clothes to them UNTIL they told me their buying/selling policy. They will give store credit or 20% LESS in cash for the EXACT same items. Oh and if I didnt want to wait IN STORE for the 3-4 hours for them to get to my items then they can take up to 24 hours to review my items and I would forfeit any options they would give me and I am FORCED to take what they offer because my items would already be on the shelves to be sold. I already thought this place was completely overpriced for 2nd hand items! I ended up going to "Once Upon A Child" where they guarantee SAME DAY service and the same amount of cash or store credit. DONT WASTE YOU TIME OR MONEY!!!!
