Took my laptop to them and they charged me $56 for a diagnostic. I had no problem with that fee, because I just wanted to know what was wrong with my computer. The man who worked with me was very friendly and helpful, so the personal service wasnt bad at all. However, they told me my hard drive was critically failing and would need to be replaced. They would charge me almost $500 for that service. Also, they would try to save my pictures, documents, etc. but would most likely have issues and only be able to restore part of my data. This was crazy to me! I have pictures on my laptop from the past 2 year of vacation to europe, baby pictures and all of my resumes and school materials were saved there! On top of not being able to collect all of my data, they would charge me $200. As a student, I dont have $700 to fork out over a laptop. Might as well just buy a new one! I told them that and left with my laptop. A few weeks later, a friend of my moms got in touch with me and he looked at my laptop himself. He used to restore and build laptops for a living before he moved to Arizona. Well, within 10 minutes he had my hard drive removed from the laptop and linked up to his own computer to see what was wrong. The hard drive worked fine! He had all of my data backed up as we sat there. It took 2 hours for him to completly fix the laptop. All it was was that I had a ton of programs running in the background making it incredibly slow. And it only cost me $50. Thank you Data Doctors for charging me more for a faulty diagnostic (that was COMPLETELY wrong) than what I paid for it to be completely fixed. Long story short, dont have them fix anything for you unless you want to get ripped off. In my case, they simply didnt want to take the time to clean up a perfectly healthy hard drive, and instead just wanted to replace it. Less work for them and more money out of my pocket.

Dont trust these guys! Always remember that this is a business first and foremost and they intend on getting as much money out of you as possible. My PC hard drive crashed, so I took it to them to get it fixed. This was not the issue. However, after I got my PC back I noticed a message in the corner of the screen that said "this build of Windows is not genuine", as well as activation notifications. Eventually I couldnt use my PC, because the product key for the copy of Windows Vista Home Premium I purchased was not compatible with this BOOTLEG version pf VISTA BUSINESS DD installed. When I took it back, the man there would not accept responsibility for what they did to my computer and tried to talk me into paying $60 to have them LOOK INTO a problem they caused in the first place! "But," he said "we could apply any repair money to the cost of a new computer if you buy from us." He also repeatedly attempted convincing me to pay an extra $50 for a data transfer although I repeatedly told him I have everything backed up on an external HD. After about the 4th time, he gave up and said "I GUESS if you THINK you have everything...." Luckily, I was able to find my original OS disc and reinstall Windows. Works like a charm now. Some advice for DD: stop acting like shameless salesmen if you want your customers to trust you! I saved myself from paying these guys at least $60 for absolutely nothing by doing my own research.

Excellent! The representatives at this Data Doctors have been outstanding. John and Calvin have been helpful, accommodating, accessible, and professional. They are extremely informed on technical issues, and offer services that fit the needs of my computer for business. They offer remote clean-up services which is very convenient. When they say "Call us if you need any assistance" for your computer, software, or maintenance needs they are sincere. I have. And theyve always been there for me. Thank-you Data Doctors, John, and Calvin.

I took my laptop to this location a couple months ago and they did a great job. They cleaned it up and it runs faster now. It didnt cost as much as I expected and I had it back within a couple days. They also have a great podcast/show Ive listened to for years.
