First experience here: I was looking for a place to replace a cheap digital watch battery because I dont have a small enough screwdriver and thought it should be easy. Margaret Matson claims to do watch repair, but they just told me they could not replace a battery on a digital watch without mailing it to the watch maker. For a place that claims to do watch repair, I would have expected that they could take out 4 screws and replace a battery in house. Given their unhelpfulness here, I dont see why Id risk a larger purchase from them.

I chose to take my moms estate jewelry to Margaret Matson for an appraisal because they are not a chain store and have been a very reputable jeweler in Geneva for a long time. Margaret did a very accurate appraisal since another high-end jewelry buyer/company in Chicago offered prices very close to Margarets appraisals for my moms 3 elegant diamond rings. Margaret is a great lady, sincere, professional & trustworthy!! I highly recommend her store for beautiful jewelry and vintage estate pieces!

I love the watches I have bought from there and anytime I had a question or issue I got the best help.
