I lived around here 1998-2007 and stopped into this place more or less just to give a local store my time. I got the good deal on the odd book required for school... I also remember trying to trade in a small bunch of hardback books, typical best-seller romance stuff from my late great-grandmothers collection nobody wanted... and they didnt really either. i think they offered me like 25-50 cent a book. lol. Bottom line? Good deals, but bland. ...and I think a Ronald Reagan coffee table book might have dominated one of the displays.

I love this little book store! Im an avid reader and am in there all the time. If they dont have what youre looking for theyll special order it and you still get a discount! 25% off new adult hardcovers and 10% off adult paperback and childrens books. Special orders take a week but the discounts make it worth the wait. Staff is friendly and helpful and if you become a "regular" like me they start to remember you and make great suggestions. Who needs a big box store when youve got a great little independent like the Book Swap!

Cute little store with a wide variety of books but honestly they are priced quite high. A majority of the paperback books were priced at $5. Which I think it a lot for a used paperback. Staff was very friendly and helpful. There was a sale rack that was priced at $2. Sale books could not be traded on for a store credit and the $5 books will receive at 1.25 trade in credit. I think you get better deals at Big Top.

False advertising. I went in with a book to swap, but turns out its not a book swap its a used book store that will give you a meager amount of store credit for your book and then sells your obscure texts for twice the price of whats on Amazon. Also the signs above/around the counter struck me as rudely worded. Staff was kind about explaining the policy but the policy + prices are what sent me walking out the door.

If you are looking to trade in books, dont go here. Go to Mojo Music on Fowler. They have a much better policy. They also take more types of books, and even take CDs and DVDs. Plus, they dont write all over the books like Book Swap does. Book Swap has a very limited selection if you want to buy something too. I wont be going back. You can get much better prices at the Flea Market, or at Mojos.

Such a cute and friendly bookstore. If youre a romantic, it might remind you of The Shop Around the Corner bookstore from the movie Youve Got Mail. If this shop had Tom Hanks perusing the shelves Id never leave! They give great recommendations and are wonderful to talk to. Its definitely worth checking out, Tom Hanks or not.

This store saved me about $30 after our I bought books at Barnes and Nobles I went right over the next Plaza and check the price and I was so happy I did the lady was knowledgeable very friendly and they had a decent amount of books that I were looking for I will be going back and I love the quickness of this little store
