I told them all the details of the job I needed done (quantity, what the prints were for, what quality I was looking for, the type of stock I needed the prints on), and they said no problem. Days later, after I dropped off the files to be printed, everything changed. They suddenly werent able to produce the quality I was looking for, and were planning to run my job off a copy machine rather than the press unless I increased my order 10x, and that the copier couldnt handle the type of card stock I wanted the prints on. These were art prints to be sold at a convention. I was very clear on what I wanted when I initially called, but after they received the files, everything changed. I decided this was not the level of professionalism I wanted, and had to scramble to find a new printer. To top everything off, when I went to pick up the flash drive from Area Printing, the woman at the desk didnt speak a word to me. She reached behind the counter for my flash drive, held it out like it was a dirty diaper and dropped it on the counter in front of me. SO rude and unprofessional. I ended up spending over $100 more at another company for a rush job because John at Area Printing swore he could do the job to my specifications, and then a week later said he couldnt meet any of them.
