I have been a frequent customer at this store for over a year now. I have spent a great deal of money here and I donate quality name brand clothes, shoes, decorative items. Yesterday, I came to the store to return a bedspread that didnt work with my decor. One of the hispanic ladies zoned in on me and it was obvious she made up her mind that I would not be allowed to return the item if she could help it. As I took the bedspread out of the goodwill bag and brought out the receipt she ask me very rudely when I purchased this. I told her I was sure I was within the return deadline of 7 days. She took out her calculator, took my receipt, turned her back on me to count to 7 I suppose, then quickly turned around and told me "NO, YOU CANNOT RETURN, YOU ARE TOO LATE. NO RETURN." She was extremely rude and I felt discriminated against because of my race (white) and because I was not dressed as nicely as usual since I was doing a lot of painting/remodeling of my home. My impression which was confirmed by the actions of the second hispanic woman was soon confirmed when she came up, got in my face, told me she would do me a favor and LET me return it BUT she says directly in my face - "YOU CANNOT GET CASH, YOU CANNOT PUT IT ON A CREDIT CARD, AND!!!!! YOU HAVE TO MAKE THE PURCHASE RIGHT NOW!!" I suppose she thought I was homeless or something and that she was punishing me somehow. Long story short - I went through the store and found the items I wanted as you only get store credit which I was well aware of before I came in. When I checked out the gentleman at the register told me not to be so hard or take it personally as the lady that helped me didnt add correctly (with a calculator mind you) and that in fact I was on time and completely within the 7 days. I will contact the manager Mercy, though I havent been able to get through on the phone - it just goes to fax. And, I will write a letter to the Board of Directors. This type of harassment and discrimination will not be tolerated!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Beware of the mean spirited female employees if you ever get to this place. Best to stay away.

6/6/13 ONE DOLLA MAKES ME HOLLA Whether or not the higher-ups of this not-for-profit business are making a lot of money, I support Goodwill because 1) I like discounted items, 2) its important to reuse, 3) the company hires people who may otherwise face challenges with employment. This Goodwill in particular can be disorganized at times, mostly due to its rather large size. For the most part, houseware and clothing are kept separate, so I cant complain if slacks are mixed in with jeans. Im more likely to shop for clothes in Walnut Creek or Danville thrift stores anyhow, unless Im looking for new Burning Man outfits; but those usually find me without much searching. On that note, Ive scored some amazing and fun pieces of desert clothing in this store. And I have fun walking around it, even when I leave empty-handed.

I dropped off some donations and found it to be well staffed with easy parking and extended hours. They have a dedicated side door on the side street (Doris Drive) to receive donations during receiving hours: please *do not* drop stuff off after their generous schedule! They keep the area tidy.

They rejected duplos legos on their original container as a donation. Also rejected 1/2 full box of brand new shot glasses- about a dozen. They started picking through my stuff and making me take it back without the Box.

Well i myself have had wonderful service and experience here, great store and great employees. Im a regular. I to am white and dress nice and never had back turned by any employee...love it there

I love clothcycling, its a great way to get new fashion ideas. This place is in picked. I got two Katy perry shirts and a kilt from Ireland. Gonna look so fresh at the food trucks in Friday.

Friendly staff, not always at the counter when you want to check out. Stuff is on par in quality and price with what you should expect from a Goodwill.

It seemed like the employees didnt get along. I dont think the cashiers got along with the employees on the floor.

Store looks cheap and smells like mold but it is exactly what to expect. People are nice and they take donations.

This store is large, so is the selection of oddsnends. Large clothing racks. Though understaffed it seems.
