I have been a loyal customer of theirs for 10 years now and have always been happy with the service I have received. They are not high-pressure; instead they are high-information when you have questions and curiosity. My only disappointment was their not taking in a new tire that had 15 miles on it when it either failed or was damaged by road debris. I thought it was a good opportunity for them to offer a little more flexible to a documented loyal customer, but they are also a profit-motivated business and I accepted the reasoning behind their decision. I have taken advantage of their Preferred Customer status to save some money on purchases. My Trek Pilot 2.1 has been a solid performer. Id love to upgrade and will someday, but I have not issues with the reliability and quality of my Trek! Its been a great steed. They have occasional sales on products where a buyer who does some planning and research can save good money on excellent products. Lastly, although Treks are not made in Wisconsin, they are a product of Wisconsin ingenuity and design. I derive pleasure in knowing I had that to help propel me down these lovely Wisconsin roads!

I took my Farley EX 8 in for a dropper seat post issue and I also ended up getting a different handlebar stem as well as going tubeless. They were also going to give it a once over and adjust the derailer (sometimes didnt like to go into the 2 lowest chain rings all that cleanly). First, I took it for a 200 yard ride in front of my house and it didnt want to shift into the higher chain rings that well. So apparently the screwed something up there when trying to adjust it. Secondly, I went to put air in the newly tubeless tires to go for a ride and upon doing so, the rear valve stem was leaking air and tubeless sealant. So they didnt do that properly either. Now I have to waste my 1 day off going back to the Trek store to have them fix it. The level of care and quality at these big box stores is ridiculous. Ive had similarly poor experiences at the Specialized bike shop. In all cases my bike was worse off when I got it back and have ALWAYS had to go back for multiple trips because they screwed something up, or multiple things. Maybe if they actually rode the bike after fixing it they would realize stuff wasnt done correctly.

Great quality bikes and remarkably helpful staff. I’ve been shopping for a bike for a while now and still haven’t purchased one, but the quality of the bikes and the competence of the Trek staff have me leaning hard in this direction. The experience is totally geared around you. Where and how you like to ride, what you like and what you don’t and how the different bikes and materials affect your riding experience. While all shops will do that to varying degrees, I’ve found the Trek staff to be exceptionally well informed on the bikes and their designs. These are highly engineered machines and you can feel it. You can also pick your price point without any upsell pressure. I’ve been given the opportunity to ride and re-ride a number of bikes over multiple occasions and every time they are willing to patiently let me make up my mind and be there to answer any questions. If you’re shopping for a bike, you should at least stop in.

If you want good value, i doubt you should shop at the trek retail stores. I ordered a seat bag from trek for $8.00. I was led to believe that they were available at the retail outlet. They were available; for $30. Corporate franchises have to be expensive, and of course, its reflected in the markup, but in this town there are a dozen independently owned bike shops that take a moderate markup, and have all the savvy, and more than a franchised corporate bike store, that hires minimum wage + salespeople, whose job it is to sell , rather than service. My experience at the trek store was a bummer. The young man waiting on me wanted to make a sale. thats all. no more no less. He could care less, if I came back next time i needed a bike accessory.

Very unhappy with my service. Took my bike in for a minor repair and tune up. They told me it would be about 10 days, it has been over 2 weeks. This could have and should have been prevented. They called me AFTER the 10 days and said it would be longer due to they needed to order a silver rim as all they had was black. BUT we discussed this at time of drop off/ estimate and they told me they had a silver one. No apology or offer of discount. I use this bike to get to the high school every day in the summer, and its 6.5 miles each way so its not like I can just walk. Now I wont get the credit due to missing too much. We will never have any of our 4 trek bicycles serviced here again.

Not having my bike serviced with them again. I took my bike in to have tires and tube put on. Hoping to have just a day or two has now turned into 10 so far. I realize that this is a busy time of the year but they should staff for that. And every time I call they say they havent gotten to it yet and told me they would get to it yesterday and have it done with a phone call to confirm. No phone call no bike. Really, I can get my car serviced in way less time than to get tires put on my bike. Very disappointed in such an expensive company! Glad I dont rely on my bike for my main transportation.

Had a great experience. Everyone was super friendly and very helpful. My boyfriend and I went in looking for new shoes and pedals for our bikes. The person we worked with was super helpful and explained everything to us in great detail. I felt super confident that what we were getting what we needed. They also price matched our pedals for us so we got a great deal! We will be coming back to get the rest of our gear here.

Went to go see if I could get my wheel trued but they said the frame wasnt salvageable just by doing a quick spin on their hands. The only other option they offered was a new wheel. I dont know if they were just following corporate guild lines for them not to attempt to repair it and just sell products. Although i was able to get it trued at a different bike shop Revolution Cycles.

Great store service, willing to go the extra mile, even for a relatively small order to help set up my tires tubeless with the Bontrager TLR system. Everythings working great, better than what I had before. Top tier quality. I will be definitely coming back and highly recommending them to others.

Great customer service. I stopped in while on a bike ride because I noticed that my messenger bag rack was about to fall off (it was already being held up by cable-ties). They were very helpful and very quick to fix my problem! I will definitely be back.

Customer service was horrible! We went to Trek knowing it was the best especially for my husband since he is a tall man. Walked around the store for 45 minutes and no one came up to us and asked if we were looking to buy or needed assistance!
