I would give 0 stars if possible. I went into the Tacoma Nissan dealership on 7/19/14, I had previously been in discussion via email with a member of their internet sales division regarding the purchase price of a vehicle on their lot, during these information exchanges my partner and I made it clear that we had already secured financing through a credit union and are not looking for a competing rate and only wanted to purchase the vehicle. I will leave out the typical gripes of purchasing a car that the average consumer endures and skip towards the unethical and fraudulent business practices they are conducting. Like I stated earlier the dealership knew before our arrival we had our own financing, additionally upon our arrival I made sure to let the sales person "Ryan" know that we had our own financing. After deciding on which car we were purchasing they said they needed information from us, which we were happy to oblige as we understand there is regulatory/title/compliance pieces that require specific information. After my partner had started to fill out a form sans social security number and birth date the salesperson came back from the ether that he had disappeared into for quite some time requesting we sign the form, include social security number, birth date, occupation and a few other things. I asked my partner to not touch the form any further, I read the form and it stated "Application for credit" all verbiage indicated the sole use of the form was to run someones credit. We asked Ryan, why we were signing a credit application when we made it clear we already had financing arranged - we are not looking at add additional hard inquiries on my partners credit history as we have already had 2 inquiries when shopping for a loan. Ryans only answer was "this will make your life easier" and immediately walked away. A credit application does not make my life easier, and the sales person came back with a manager of some sort whos name I did not catch. He told us that he was going to put our information into a CUDL database to grab the information about our loan, unaware of what this system was we requested to check with our bank about it. We called WSECU and they advised us to not let the dealership put our information into this database as it would run our credit again and they would try to shop our information to various lenders...something we do not want. Thee dealer insisted this was not going to run our credit, a quick glance at the website on CUDL it became apparent he was lying directly to my face and was going to run our credit anyway if he had the information needed to do so. He claimed this application was necessary for the Patriot Act, sounds highly suspect to me. We still wanted the car, and at the price we were quoted, and asked if there was any way we could not fill out this form but still give them info necessary to ensure we werent doing money laundering or shady business. They asked us to fill out a credit application, AGAIN. At this point we requested the information on a different form again, the sales manager then essentially told us that we were stringing them along and that we did not have any intention of making a sale. and kicked us out of their business.

This is not my first time purchasing a vehicle from Nissan, and I have been to many dealerships throughout the Northwest. Tacoma Nissan is definitely the worst of the worst. Walking into this place on a Friday afternoon and discovering that there was no one around to greet me was my initial experience. After a while, sales’ guy Ali appeared ready to assist me. I knew what I was looking for and have checked the Internet to make sure that they actually had this vehicle: a Titanium Nissan Versa SV sporting an appearance package. Ali’s manager, Darryl, provided me the interest rate I desired, but did not tell me that there was a conflict with the 1000 rebate promotion. I noticed that but said nothing because it still worked well within my budget. I trusted Ali and Darryl, signed the paper work, and plunked down the down payment, so they could expeditiously retrieve the car of my choice. Unfortunately, the car was nowhere on the lot, but was “in the area.” I came back an hour later, and Darryl told me that Ali went for a test drive with the new car and would be back very soon; about two and a half hours later--Yes 2.5 HOURS LATER—and still no Ali. Darryl said that he was stuck in traffic--what took so long if the car was “in the area”?!? Finally, Ali returned, and I was presented with a SILVER Versa with no appearance package. I told Darryl that the car was not what I signed for. He responded by saying, “Oh well--let’s take a look at the contract first.” Sure enough, the contract clearly stated the following: “Color Titanium with appearance package.” I was extremely disappointed--After all of those hours of waiting, not only did they bring me the wrong car, but they were also hoping I would simply accept what they brought me because they retrieved the car from OLYMPIA. I wanted to cancel the deal; Darryl chuckled and said, “HAHA! THAT IS NOT UP TO YOU!” Their sales’ manager, Tom, tried very very hard to salvage the transaction, but I had lost any trust that I had initially had in them. In the end, I found out the car I was looking for was about 150 miles away and that there might possibly be another one coming in the following week. Instead of being honest with me up front, they played my trust, lied to me, and kept me waiting for all of those hours. Even more ironic, Tom told me that no one lied--it was just a “SIMPLE MISCOMMUNICATION.” At that point, I lost all of my patience--I wanted to leave immediately! The business manager finally took care of that. Before I exited the building, Tom asked me, “PLEASE DO NOT SHARE YOUR NEGATIVE EXPERIENCE WITH ANYONE,” but he had no problem with me not recommending them. To all car shoppers out there, take heed if you are looking for a dealership that treats its customers with dignity and respect. I can assure you that this is not the place you want to be. Now I understand why the showroom was so empty, and the sales team told me they were looking for more customers. I had a horrifying experience and will never ever come back to Tacoma Nissan.

If there were no stars I would give them No stars. We went there in October to just look at vehicles and before we Knew it Calvin the floor manager was pushing a 04 Lexus SUV with 117,000 miles on us. We left with the vehicle (same on us). with no financing approved. Calvin told me the vehicle was fully loaded with every option available. and again shame on me for not checking. when I got home I found that there was close to 2K in options that were not on the vehicle. Long story short the financing did not go through because they had the car priced to high for the number of miles so I dumped the vehicle back on them and gave them a chance to sell us another vehicle. At this point Nick the sales manager got involved. The next day I we test drove a few move SUVs and took an endeavor home for the night but again after further driving we decided that the vehicle was not for us and let Nick know that we wanted something different. I spent the day searching the Titus inventory looking for something that would fit our needs. When I found something that I liked and called to get info, they would not get me info. so after work I arrived at the lot and took a look around only to see that there were not any new vehicles. What I did find was interesting. they had the same model mazda 3 on there lot listed for 15981.00 ( thats almost 6K in markup) which was funny because they were tying to give us 10 grand trade for two cars. Blown away at that point I decided the deal was done. When I tried to be polite and just let Nick know the deal was over and we needed to step back he became confrontational. Insisting that I tell him why we did not want to deal with him. When I tried to explain he conned to interrupt me. I told him about my car and the one they had on the lot and he tried to say the lower miles made it worth more. What a liar I already did the edmunds and blue book on it and the value was the same! I would NEVER, EVER, EVER, deal with Bruce Titus Nissan of Tacoma. In fact I would Not give any of his dealerships business. They are there to make a quick buck and leave you as uniformed as possible so they can gouge you with there extremely high markups. IN fact when looking online vehicles their prices are always 2 to 3K higher! I am not a person to write a review like this but working with Nick was a bad experience and the fact that he was confrontational when we said we needed a break shows how unprofessional he is! In summary Stay away from Calvin he will just fast talk and tell you everything is on the vehicle, and Nick will try to keep you in the dark and get frustrated when you dont want to spend 18K on something you dont like then continue to be confrontational when you say thanks but no thanks politely.
