Stopped in today for the first time and enjoyed the selection, but the service there was such a buzzkill. Me and my husband were looking for a 250cc (had our eye on the Suzuki TU250x) and after looking around for 20 minutes no one engaged us. We took matters into our own hands and asked the a salesguy there if we could sit on the TU250x and he said, "Yes, thanks for asking" and that was the end of conversation (no "Ill be right with you" or "What is it your looking for?" or "Lemme tell you about this bike"). So we were ready to test drive this bike and asked the same sale guy that was sitting at a desk what the next step was. "Do we need to make an appointment?" we asked. He just said, "To test drive our bikes, we really need to be farther along in the deal." Um... ok. we werent sure what that meant and asked him to clarify and told him we were interested in this bike and he again said, "We cant have bikes on the showroom with gas in them so it takes 5 hours to set up a test drive, plus we need to approve you for financing." We told him wed be paying for it with cash today and wouldnt need financing but he was adamant that "We really need to be farther along in the deal" Well, since no one ever asked us ANYTHING we werent sure how to START the deal since no one took interest in us so we cant possibly get "far into any deal" let alone wait 5 hours for a test drive if the sales staff is unwilling to even schedule an appointment or ask us any questions. We were willing to schedule for another day, but he didnt even want to offer that! So, we walked out and wont return. You cant buy anything from someone that isnt interested in selling it. Really bizarre experience! Oh, and I should also mention that of the three motorcycle dealerships we visited today, this was the only one who wouldnt allow us to test-ride. The other two (South Sound Motorcycles, and Redline Motorcycle) had us on a bike and test riding within 5 minutes of asking... our license was scanned and we signed and waiver. I guess at those places, thats enough "into the deal" for them.

I cant say alot for any of the dealers around here ... I have only been around this area since August 2011. BUT, I can tell you that I have received better customer service from Eric, Norm, and Patsy than I did at from any dealer in Auburn (read Hinshaws) and Spanaway (read Rainier (yes, I know it is their sister dealer)) I wandered around Hinshaws for AT LEAST an hour before someone even acknowledged my existence in their store. But Carl Munro did do an excellent job once he realized I had not been helped. I wont even talk about Rainier Honda ... they have A LOT to learn about customer service. At least they do from what I have seen. But I was helped within 15-20 minutes of my arrival at TMS ... I already knew what I was in the market for. Carl from Hinshaws and a lot of research had helped with that. Not it was time to deal. Eric helped with that part as the middle man. I got what I wanted. And got a much better deal on my trade in than Hinshaws was willing to give me. Yeah, Yeah ... it might have been a bit of smoke and mirrors ... but in the end, what I paid for a BRAND NEW bike was A LOT less than the MSRP and what the competitors were willing to sell a bike in worse condition for. I am EXTREMELY happy with my deal and I will DEFINITELY recommend them to others and I will be seeing their service department in another 567 miles for my 600 mile check up. BTW ... I talked to several other loyal customers while I was mulling over my decision to by my bike there and they all recommended TMS. One individual even told me that he would rather trailer his bike to TMS than take it to his local service department their in Port Orchard. That alone says volumes about the class and level of service this dealership provides.

I went into Tacoma Motorsports trying to buy a 2011 Yamaha R1 and the two gentlemen that I talk to gave me bad information about the licensing and sales. Of course I did my research about purchasing a motorcycle before deciding which bike I wanted but when I arrived at TMS they gave me wrong information about sales for 1) The factory of every brand motorcycle pays the dealer to put the bike together so your only supposed to pay for either destination fee (the cost to get the bike to the dealer) or setup fee. They told me that the factory does not pay them anything to put the bike together which was a lie as I called Yamaha to make sure. 2) I am not a resident of Washington but a resident of Florida and planned on registering my bike in Florida when the gents told me that I had to pay for Washington registration anyway which once again I called the Washington Department of Licensing to find out the information which I didnt have to register my bike here unless it was going to be here for a lengthly amount of time. Last but not least I went back to let the gentlemen know that they had given me wrong information and one of the gentlemen was there when I explained that he had given wrong information and despite the events that I would still buy a bike from them. The man flat out told me that he did not care that information he was wrong and that he wanted the money thats all...... Baffled I walked out I will never return needless to say I bought my bike from RMC where the service is amazing.

I posted this same review on Yelp but really wanted to put in a good word for these guys at Tacoma Motorsports. It is the least I can do after such a great buying experience. I would honestly give this place 10 stars if I could!!! I recently bought a bike from this location and I could not be any happier! I got a killer deal on my Yamaha R3! Douglas went above and beyond to make this purchase a breeze and also honored everything he promised prior to going through with the purchase. Even the sticker price on the bike, that was incorrect and but still let me buy it at that price (which was a steal after doing some research.) I couldnt say no to such an amazing deal! Carol (in the parts department) did a stellar job helping me with upgrades for my bike (I want to clarify that this was not part of a sales tactic from this shop)... I asked for for help and she delivered!! I had done extensive research about upgrades I was planning on buying for my bike and she nailed every single one without me even telling her I had already planned on getting those items. She is very straight-forward and knowledgeable, so I will definitely be going back to her if I ever need any help with parts. Eric (manager) was very friendly and helped me with my paperwork. Buying this bike was the most stress-free experience (to my surprise) and would hands down recommend this place for anyone looking to purchase a new motorcycle/scooter/etc.

I just purchased a 2014 suzuki gsxr 600 from Tacoma Motorsports yesterday and I have to say that it was personally one of the best experiences of my life the sales staff were very knowledgeable and polite, Eric and Douglass both are amazing sales staff, Eric worked so hard to get me out of my yamaha R1 which I had financed through yamaha motor finance and he could see how frustrated I was with dealing with yamaha and ride motorsports which was the dealership I purchased the R1 from and he never gave up he never stopped trying and that right there is the sign of a great sales person so Eric thank you from the bottom of my heart for everything you and tacoma motorsports have done for me and I definitely will be back 100% to buy another bike from you guys, even the service department is amazing while I still had my R1 which ride motorsports had told me was fine and that they couldnt replicate any of the issues I was having with the throttle I took it to Tacoma Motorsports and the service department was able to get it to replicate and narrow it down to being a wire in the throttle body needing to be replaced so tacoma motorsports goes above and beyond in ensuring that the customer is always happy and gets the service they need
