I bought a laptop here a while back and requested extra RAM. rather than having the people at the store install the RAM i asked if i could just take it with me and install it myself. after alot of initial confusion i was given a stick of RAM, payed and was on my way. at the car i realized that i had been given the same ammount as what was already in the computer - not what i had asked for, obviously, and when back inside to get it switched. again this was very confusing for the staff for some reason, but i eventually did get the right DIMM(from the same staff member i had been working with earlier) and went home to install. after getting the box open, and going to put it in the computer, i realize that i had been given the wrong ram AGAIN. this to me represents a MAJOR flaw at apple stores across america - that is, that the employees know nothing about computers. anyways, the next day i go to get it exchanged a third time only this time they tell me they cant take it back because it had already been returned once. at this point i am talking to the store manager who is extremely rude and condescending to me and seems to be fundamentally unable to understand that i was GIVEN THE WRONG PRODUCT. they did finally give me the right RAM, but only after hours of waiting and arguing with the completely incompetent staff and being insulted by the total b!tch manager. i have since tried to buy from the Seattle Mac Store just up the street on 45th and online, and when i absolutely have to go to this location i have kept my requests as minimal as possible.

This is an outdoor shopping mall where the trees are starting to mature so that it takes on the character of a European village with narrow streets, yet plenty of two-lane motor vehicle streets as well. We much prefer it to Northgate or South Center for its visual appeal. A nicety is the umbrella stands throughout, where shoppers are able to use and return umbrellas gratis. There is a lot of outdoor parking as well as a parking garage that is free. We started Sunday at North Face where my wife scored a delightful piece of office wear at a reasonable price. Ravenna Gardens is my personal favorite among the shops. Wow if you like garden treasures and unusual plants, this is the place to go! You will fine all of the usual clothing stores such as American Eagle. We always go to H & M where we often get really good buys. This time we dint find anything that we needed. Several months ago we had early dinner at Din Tai Fung, which we highly recommend. They serve noodles stuffed with soup and a wide variety of Chinese food. It was really busy, but nevertheless, the food came quickly, tasted great and delighted us, especially some of the sauces. The servers were friendly and knowledgeable. Its a little pricey, but not as expensive as say Anthonys. Im sure we will go back, even though its across town from us.

We use to go there all the time, mainly for grocery shopping at the QFC there. Lately, parking has been atrocious. They built up a new parking garage, which has recently opened, but is hard to find the entrance, and the traffic pattern going through it is poorly planned. Lately, theyve closed off two big portions of the parking lot to build up another parking garage. Its currently January, and the completion of the parking garage isnt suppose to be until September. The last 2 times weve tried to shop there, weve spent more than a half an hour trying to find a parking space. The shops are overpriced, and the employees working at them are pretentious and not very helpful. Although we do like the QFC there, we wont be shopping there, or anywhere else in that mall until the parking situation is dealt with. 8 months of future revenue for those shops is going somewhere else, so I hope that the U Villages management is happy with their decision.

Four stars only because there are like 4 or 5 Starbucks and no other coffee options. WTH. The play area is nicely gated for safety and, while small, is perfect for a short stop with tots. Located right next to it is a toy store with a kids hairdresser, our go-to for toddler haircutting needs. There is a QFC which is quite nice for a QFC and many other stores as well. My favorites include Fireworks, Zovo (with a wide range of bra sizes, excellent), Sorables, Molly Moons (Yum!), Chipotle, and Kids Club. The restrooms at this location are some of the best Mall restrooms Ive visited and, although it always looks packed, there is always ample parking thanks to two parking garages. I always find a parking spot in one of them, even at Christmas, if one is unavailable in the open parkinglot.

This is such a fun place to shop! In the winter, Santa sets up shop in a cottage in one of the parking lots and is there every day for photos. Mondays are pet days. In the warmer weather months, activities like Fidos day out and other activities can be found on the calendar. There are many great places to eat and shop and after the recent expansion, there is also more parking. After you are done walking around, stop at the QFC for your grocery shopping on the way home. If you have children, there is a great kids store that has clothes, toys AND a hair salon. Right outside is a covered play structure. If you are running low on energy after all that excitement, there is a cupcake store a few storefronts down. Bathrooms in the Village can be found by signs and are always clean.

Seattle is an odd location for an open air mall, but U Village makes the most of the local weather reality by offering plenty of overhangs and free umbrellas when shopping/strolling. U Village has all the right stores, too, which makes shopping here a delight. The Apple and Microsoft stores are across an open quad from each other... which is perfect for me as I get many tech questions answered within a few easy steps. And Amazon opened its first bricks and mortar store a few weeks ago. (Many browsers at the store but fewer buyers, at least the times I have checked out the store.) The worst thing I can say about this mall is the restaurant options are scant and not especially good. In sum, the mall definitely is worth checking out by locals and tourists.

What van you say, its Starbucks you pretty much know what you are going to get. The coffee isnt great but it is consistent and you can get both your sugar and your caffeine fix in the same cup of coffee. I tend to lean towards the Mocha Frappacino and the lemon pound cake but everyone has their thing. A couple of things make this Starbucks a little unique. First it is in an outdoor mall. Second it has been renovated to include laptop plugs. Finally I have heard it is one of the busiest Starbucks in the country. I would agree with that because I have never been to another Starbucks that has a line at 1am. I think there are better places to study but this place does have a good energy to it so I would recommend going if you are a Starbucks person.
