I give this place five stars only because it makes my mom really happy. My mom is Vietnamese and this is a 100% Vietnamese shopping mall. As some of you may or may not know San Jose has the largest population of Vietnamese people than any other city outside of Vietnam. My mom doesnt drive far so when she wants to go out here I always take her. Her main goal is to stock up on Vietnamese movies. She spends quite a bit of time in the DVD store so while she does that, the rest of us walk around the rest of the mall. You can find a little bit of everything, but they dont have stores like traditional American malls. The stores here have little toys or knick knacks more like what you would find at an auction. There are also stores that sell skin care products, cell phone products, holistic medicines, household goods, and even a place that sells lottery tickets. They also have a lot of high class jewelry stores. We always eat at the same restaurant. I forgot the name of it. It is a little more upscale and it is in the corner right before you get to the strip of the food court. The food there is authentic and Ive never been to a Vietnamese restaurant that serves better food. The food court is casual and it runs along one side of the mall. You could find quicker bites to eat there and great Vietnamese coffee. You can also get a lot of great snacks and dried treats (dried meats, dried fish, squid etc) at some of the stores. I was a little disappointed because they closed the bakery that used to be in front but hopefully theyre just renovating it.

I go here with my family pretty often and I frequent the food court once in a while. Best places to go are the fresh fruit shop near the food court and the restaurant supply store on the top right corner of the mall near the east entrance. PSA: Remember to lock your doors and to keep valuables out of sight. Try not to park on the east side of the mall; I had my car broken into and luckily, I caught a thief in the act trying to steal my radio. Security is more heavily focused on the entrance and the west side.

Tuyen Mai

A lot of nice shops in this shopping center. There is a lot of food, jewelry, and clothing stores and other types of stores as well. There is a lot of parking spots and though there are usually people it never feels crowded or uncomfortable. It is also usually very clean. If you are looking to shop or get some food, this is a good place to go. If you are looking for a place to relax and hang out with friends, there are some fountains and a couple benches but not much else. It is a shopping center after all.

This Vietnamese mall is clean and nice but has not much other than food! I like the food court and the other restaurants and specially food stores here. The food at most restaurant/stalls are good and cheap. I visit the sugar cane stall more often than I really should. They also have what look like skin care shops and lots of Jewelers but I dont buy those stuff so I cant say much.

This is like a big shopping mall but for thrift stores and restaurants. You can almost find anything from jewelries to CD/DVDs to babys toys. And theres an area where restaurants and "booths" with foods are located. They have many varieties of different cuisines. Also a couple dessert and drink "booths". A lot of tables and chairs to sit so no need to worry there.

I went there for dinner and it was an odd experience. Going into the mall, many of the stores were already closed for the night. Beyond that, there were a large number of store locations that were permanently shut down. Its as if the mall has been fading for so long, its becoming abandoned. There werent that many people there and it felt like a ghost town.

I love to come here for the food court because it has an exotic selection for me (even though Im Asian). Sometimes Ive no idea what noodle soup I ended up ordering but thats part of the fun! Love to top it up with some exotic dessert drink or smoothie afterwards. Pricey though. I guess in exchange for the price the hygiene is good here.

Although the con is that all the small restaurants within the Plaza only takes cash with the exception of the larger restaurants on the sides which take card. These small mom and pop shops are actually good not ok but good! They wont disappoint you like Pho 54, 60, 70 or something. There will actually be flavor in your soups trust me.

The mall is so so. The cool looking fountain, the nice meals, the things you can buy from an Asian place is all there. The appearance is okay. The parking lot depending there it is will vary can be awesome the can be horrible need to fix that. There a garbage like smell in the back with a lot of feral cats.

It was OK when I went there in the past...now all the store are out dated and its dead... Dont see lots of shopper in it...I believe that to make up for their lost of revenue they are covering it with strict parking enforcement.. In which its offending this customer... Will not shop there anymore

Alot of smoking on the front cafe store. Food court look ugly and task gross. Once we ordered 2 "Banh Xeo" and looked into the side dish of vegetable, found several living caterpillars wiggle. Even the vegetable has not been washes. Terrible experience. They did not say sorry nor do anything.

This mall is okay, but it need to be improve more. I see more jewelry and electronic and food section more than I see other department like clothe. Everytime I go to this mall, it not a lot of traffic of customer coming in except for Lunar New Year. I suggest they do more than that.

Pretty Roses

This mall is an oriental shopping center with several jewellery and some clothing stores. There are several restaurants inside and outside the mall. I take my kids to get their dental check up there. Grand Century Dental prices are lower than most dentist/orthodontist out there.

Not many shops. In the morning many are closed. Some shops are empty (nothing in there). If you are looking for Asian food and Asian stuff, its a place. If you need a supermarket, choose Walmart in the near. Bus 72 from downtown. Around 20 minutes.

If you like jewelry - this mall is for you.. if not.. well, theres a store that sells everything you need to open an Asian food restaurant. Not exactly any great deals or amazing shops here but definitely a cultural center of little Saigon.

It is not a large shopping mall and parking could be a challenge. But it is clean and quiet. My hairdresser is located here. Maxim market is in the same parking lot which makes it convenient. The mall has a small food court and bakery.
