I was at the market today to buy some salad rolls, the skinny vietnamese lady at the food counter was cleaning the dirty floor with some paper towels with her bare hands. Then came a male customer to buy a bun bao, she just stood up and prepare the bun for him without washing her hands. I watched how she handling food for 15 minutes to see if she would ever wash her hands, but she never did. Then I decided to leave without buying anything. This market needs to give their kitchen staffs hush lessons. I WENT TO THE MARKET MANY TIMES AND NEVER EVER SEE THEIR KITCHEN STAFF WIASH THEIR HANDS. BAD FOOD HANDLERS!

The workers there are among the least friendly ones Ive ever encountered through my grocery shopping experience. Most of the times my questions were consistently replied in a brusque manner as if they are the proud and busy seller being bothered by me. That said, if you know what youre buying and are good at selecting your products yourself, this is still one of the best Asian markets you can go in this area largely because of the large scale of the shop and wide range of varieties available. Improved customer service would definitely get them to the next level IMHO.

This is a pretty fun place to window shop, especially if youre into Oriental bric-a-brac and their weird candies. This place is INDISPENSABLE, however, to those of us who cook Asian food at home! Mortars and pestles, bricks of tamarind paste, coconut milk, Chung Koon soy sauce, sesame oil in giant metal jugs, galangal...the only thing I havent found are those fiery birds eye chiles used in Thai green curry pastes. Ive heard there are cheaper Asian grocery stores, but this one is Uwajimaya huge (but Costco priced) and conveniently located.

One of my favorite Portland things. Its worth the trek out to 82nd for this gem. Im not sure if the jig is up but I hope its never overrun by hipsters :P This place is amazing. Products you cant find anywhere else, strange treats, unknown foods both great for us and terrible for us. Generally a super affordable place with a twist. Including your weird home items and trinkets aisle. I always treat myself to a Moji for the drive home :) Keep it real Fubonn, keep it real.

Love it here! So many options and at good prices. Good place to go and get sushi for lunch then grocery shop and stop by the bakery! Everything Ive tried is good. I love getting my produce and meats here- very affordable, fresh, and in easy packaging for 1 person or large families. The snack aisle is a hoot. The honeydew melon frozen fruit bars are one the most delicious things Ive ever had! They also have lots of cooking supplies and a great selection of saki.

Lots of Asians! And appropriately Asian fare and services. This is the place to go for Asian groceries in the Portland area. Unfortunately, prices arent that great, as theres no serious competition to keep prices low. The Fubonn grocery store is the anchor of this shopping center, but Meianna Bakery is also a nice place to visit. Aside from this, there are other venues as well, ranging from shoes to fashion to restaurants to financial services.

Honestly, its not the best Ive been to, but it sure comes pretty close. When my mom, shes a Thai Cook, comes to visit, Fubonn is often visited by us. By many standards, its a big Asian market. It has a little bit of everything and often carries the usual, but needed, staples for many Asian dishes. So, if youre looking for something of the Asian flavor, then give Fubonn a try. You may leave with more than what you bargained for.

Fubon is a great place to get all of your Asian food needs. Some produce has a better price than your local grocery store when it is on sale, but mostly, you can find things you cant find anywhere else in the area. They also have a section of kitchen wares in the main store. There are also a couple little shops and a bubble tea place and outside, there is a wonderful sushi spot and a Starbucks to visit too!

Fubonn Shopping Center is a one stop destination for a variety of needs. Check out their main market for fresh veggies, meat and fish or if you have a hankering for a delightful treat or snack from Asia this market will most likely have it in stock. Staff is friendly, in my experience English has been a second language but communication is always a success with patience from both sides.

A wide variety of any and all types of Asian food. We specifically went to this location to check out their phenomenal selection of vegan meat alternative products. Wow! There are more things here than I have ever seen at any market! Everything from mock eel to mock pork belly. Its amazing what they come up with these days! Glad to have come out to this location. We will be back!

This is a great place to find obscure sauces, noodles, mochi, and a whole variety of Asian cooking ingredients. It may take you some time to walk down the isles and find what you need so give yourself some extra time (there is a lot of stuff packed in there and not every thing is clearly marked or labeled). They have fresh and frozen meat/fish, veggies, and fruit too.

I was confused by it. I moved here from the Yukon territory and didnt know places like this existed. Sort of a reverse "Call of the wild" You dont have to leave SE portland to get deep Oriental. To me it was more eye opening than that OMSI. I bought me some sesame oil and a fish fillet knife. Still have it. Still sharp. A++ Not for the faint of heart.

Unexpectedly, immense variety of brands - Taiwanese, Indonesian, Malaysian, on top of usual suspects :), including USDA cert organic options. Good quality produce. Extremely clean, well-organized, well-stocked & clearly marked isles. Meat section beats the most markets of the same class - freshest pig ears, pork trotters, etc.

I love fubonn shopping center! Everytime I go there I find what I need, and a ton of stuff that I wouldnt normally find anywhere else in Portland! Tons of stuff that reminds me of back home in Hawaii! If youre from the islands, I highly recommend going there! Youll find a lot of stuff that will take you way back.

One of the best Asian Markets in the city! I can find so many different things here that I just cannot find anywhere else. Very good prices. They have an enormous fresh produce and meat department and live seafood. I love the variety of dried spices, noodles and rice too. Staff is very friendly and efficient.

Shopping center with an Asian centric focus all the stores with exception of Starbucks are Asian in nature. There is a really good sushi place in the parking lot and some small food stall inside though I havent tried any.the anchor is a Asian grocery store with things most "Main stream" stores dont carry

Definitely one of my favorite Asian markets Ive been to. The meat and produce is incredibly fresh, and they have a great variety of products throughout Asia. They also have a nice selection of alcoholic beverages, and speciality shops in the vicinity. I would highly recommend this place to anyone!
