I recently went to Bella vision in Redmond to get some new frames and glasses. I was a returning customer from a couple of years before at the Factoria store. The last glasses I got from them worked perfectly. I just wanted to get a new frame style. I went to the Redmond store to get new glasses and get an eye exam. The exam was fine and the Dr said my prescription very slightly changed. I picked out some new frames and they sent them in to get done. They let me know when they came in and I went in and tried them on. To my surprise, I could not see out of them correctly. I have a basic Astigmatism and always get progressive glasses. But I could not see out of them. My vision was blurry, especially in the "reader" part of the glasses and on the sides. So they said I get one free "redo". So they put my original prescription on them again and sent them in to get redone. When I went back to the store the 2nd time and put them on, again, I could not see correctly. They were just a bad as the first time. They kept telling me you have to give them a week or long to get use to them. But the prescription is the same and I should not have any time getting use to them. Before I went back a 3rd time and have to pay for a 3rd time, I decided to have them checked at a competitors. They said right off, these particular frames do not work with Astigmatism. The frames I selected were too curvy and distort the view. The competitor said who ever you purchased these frames from should have told you that those specific frames, would not work with my specific prescription. But I was not told that and spent $700 for glasses that I cant use. I agree. The rep I was working with at Bella Vision should have warned me or told me that my prescription will not work with that style. So I spent another $200 ( at a competitor) to make the frames simple clear glass polarized sunglasses. Wow, $900 sunglasses. People that work at eye glasses stores should know their business as we depend on their recommendations. I would not recommend Bella Vision as a knowledgeable staff and they cost me a lot of time and money that was unnecessary.

Terrible experience twice at this place. The first was just a regular visit. After testing my eyes many ways which blurred my vision, they diagnosed me with short-sightedness. After my protest they retested me and reduced my prescription but held onto it, insisting that I did have shortsightedness despite not having any of the out of office symptoms. The second was the worst when they gave my dad the wrong glasses. He tested and was given prescription for glasses that he received two months later. After wearing he noticed that one of his eyes was seeing blurry. He returned and asked for a correction which they asked for $75 for a new test claiming that over the course of two months my dads eyesight had changed (which it hadnt changed over the past five years). My dad went directly to the glass makers instead who examined his eyes and determined that the original prescription was wrong. This place seems far more interested in your money and selling you their own glasses than the health of your eyes.
