Horrible customer service!! The battery backup unit to my internet went haywire and Frontier told me they would send a tech out to replace the unit but I was responsible to supply the battery. So I went to Batteries Plus to buy the battery ($42). The technician arrived a few days later & replaced my battery backup unit and supplied the battery so he told me to take it back. I went back to Batteries Plus to return it 5 days after buying it and the same girl who sold me the battery was working there and she put a meter on it & it tested at 10.5 volts (should be 12). She said she couldnt take it back but she would call a supervisor to make an exception. She made the call right in front of me and the supervisor said no on the return. Seriously? I bought it 5 days ago and its been sitting! I tried to reason with her and tell her it probably wouldve tested at 10.5 volts the day I bought it & suggested she starts testing them before they go out the door. She offered to charge it up and send me home with it the next day (I dont know why they couldnt charge it & resell it, or if it WAS defective send it back to the supplier for a credit). There is virtually no parking at the tiny strip mall where this store is & I had very little desire to come back the next day to their crappy parking lot with no available spaces on busy days to pick up this battery to keep it as a spare as she suggested to have it go bad sitting on the shelf. Oh, she offered to sell me a battery tender... Since I was getting nowhere with her I left the battery there and went home. No point in taking a lead & acid filled useless boat anchor home. I called Frontier on the way home to gripe at them for making me buy a battery that I didnt need to, that I now cannot return and they happily credited my account the full amount of the battery cost including tax. They shouldnt have had to pick up the slack on customer service where Batteries Plus was lacking but they did. When I came on here to write this review I see that they have other poor reviews! I wonder why?!?! I can understand if I brought the battery back 5 weeks later instead, or if it tested below 10 volts, or if I fried it by improper installation, but it literally sat and it was only 5 days since purchase! I shouldve made her throw the meter on the other batteries on the shelf just to prove a point as in sure they dont test a full 12 volts. In the end I got my money back from someone who shouldnt have had to pay, but I will NEVER shop there again! Ill get my obscure batteries from Radio Shack or elsewhere. Customer Service 101 says that it costs less to keep an existing customer happy than it does to bring in a new one. And now that Im writing this scathing review rather than giving them praise, this will cost them a lot more in the long run!

The people were polite, thats the only reason that I gave them two instead of one star. Horrible experience--it says on the website it takes 45 minutes to replace a phone screen. Well, 5 hours later, my phone screen is fixed. We dropped the phone off and they said it would be probably twenty to thirty minutes but it was kind of busy so just in case they gave us a two hour window--theyd call when its done. After two hours and forty-five minutes we just go back because we havent heard--they call to say its done as we pull in, three hours after we dropped it off. I get the phone and the touch screen doesnt work! The screen is nice and pretty but it DOESNT WORK! I tell them that and they say they have to replace the screen so it will take 20-30 minutes. Well I live 15 minutes away so I just sit in the car and go inside thirty minutes later. Theres a line so we walk around the store waiting. After another 30 minutes I ask when my phone was going to be ready because they had said 20-30 minutes over an hour ago. THEY HADNT EVEN STARTED WORKING ON IT. So, furious that I could have gone home, they say theyll start it right then and it will be ANOTHER HOUR. So I leave, furious that this "45-minute fix" has taken FOUR HOURS. Ten minutes later they call saying its done...so I turn around and go and it works and the screen is fixed. Im giving them a bad review because it took them more than an HOUR more than they said it would EACH time--the time I dropped it off and the time THEY made it not work. They were polite but I will NEVER GO BACK THERE. It costs $30 to buy a screen repair kit but I have to say that the convenience of needing a phone fixed before vacation and having it done correctly in 45 minutes seemed like it was worth the cost but instead I paid $110 for them to fix my phone in six and a half times the time it should have taken and have them give me poor time estimates every time so I was sitting around wasting my day. Poor service, theres a place that fixes phones in the mall--go there instead. UPDATE: I downgraded my service to ONE STAR because now the touch screen doesnt work. Would not recommend, worst experience ever.

I visited Battery Plus recently to get my iPhone 5s screen replaced. The original screen had lasted 2 years with normal use. Unfortunately, within 2 1/2 months, the phone quit connecting to the Verizon Network. I have a 5 year old iPhone 4 that I was forced to transfer my service to, that has always maintained a network connection with Verizon. When I checked with Verizon, the first question they asked me was if I or someone else had opened up the phone. Verizon told me that under no circumstances should anyone open up an iPhone, unless an Apple Store technician performs the work and also, that the phones problem could be related to this fact. I was told the phone was shot and was told that I could trade in the phone for a new iPhone 6s in a week. Unfortunately, within 3 days, under normal use, without dropping the phone, the screen, that Battery Plus had replaced, cracked. without being dropped. I simply placed my phone in my pants cargo pocket as usual, and when I pulled it out and began tapping on the screen, It cracked in a star pattern, near the area where I was tapping on the phone. When I returned to Verizon, they advised me that I would not be able to upgrade to a new iphone, until my contract expired in September, because the phones screen was cracked I was now without a phone. I was treated professionally by the Battery Plus employees and the work was completed in a timely manner. My concern is with the durability/quality of the replacement screen and battery. Also, whether Battery Plus should be completing battery replacements on iPhones, since Verizon advised me that no one but an Apple Dealer/Tech should ever open up an iPhone. The new battery did not improve the phones ability to keep a charge, if anything, I thought the charge was about the same or a little less then before. When I contacted the Lynnwood Battery Plus store and asked if the screen was warrantied I was told that I was out of luck and that they would discount a replacement screen to $80.00, a $10.00 discount from what I originally paid.
