Lynnwood Car Toys: I came back to Car Toys w/ good intentions since my first experience was great. Well, I came in short time ago w/ what I was told was a bad unit that they had originally installed and they deemed it dead and needed a replacement. I agreed but the sound was poor which I communicated but the feedback was "it must be your ears" by the manager and got push back. I trusted Austin (sales) to suggest a good replacement and while he was great at selling, he sold me a baseline unit which did not compare to my original and therefore poor sound output. On top of that, I paid $211 for a $100 unit. If the sound was there, I would have looked away. But Im dissatisfied. Im going to try and reconcile the sale with the Lynnwood CT and report back. Oh yeah, the Assistant Manager has poor Customer Service skills w/ impatient attitude (white dude w/ bug eyes, comes off like a prick- no offense...I was told by your team you are just that way) and appears to not have a good rapport w/ his people. Sorry to report that. Stay tuned. UPDATE: I posted this review this morning w/ a 2* and by 1:40PM today, it was resolved with swift, undivided attention. It was a good outcome and recovery by Car Toys was excellent. Heres what I sent to the Store Manager (JB): I wanted to take a moment out of my busy day and get back to you to say, THANK YOU. Your people performed like a team! It was nice to see and to be honest, I had an epiphany; I rarely see people follow-through with excellent Customer Service and you guys just proved it can be done. And people do pull through. And I was glad to experience this good humanly quality which everyone deserves. I came in at 1:00 and left at 1:40 with a smile. It changed my day. Your acting manager at the time (forgive me, I forget his name) was instrumental to state the least. I spoke to the techs in the garage and thanked them for their effort; Their Quality Assurance was spot on and it was a pleasant, engaging experience and it was all about the quality of the sound. They even stepped out onto the sales floor when done, as a team, and collectively made sure the process was complete with satisfaction on my face. Now, I will get back to that review and respectfully report the same. You guys right a wrong for me and that’s a lot. There’s a few Lessons Learned here and I hope your team acknowledges them and improve your performance from Sales to Install to post-experience. Today’s experience is ideal. I hope you guys find a way to integrate good to great Customer Experience. Good luck and take care. It’s good to know people can do extra-ordinary things to make things right.

When I started shopping for a car stereo system and security alarm, I was promised the best car stereo components and installation for my 1986 Porsche 911 Turbo by each retailer I spoke to. When looking a bit deeper into the choices of retailer, only one of them had the best components for sale, side by side for comparison with others brands at the same price point. And at the best price. They never rushed me, in fact, Car Toys, Lynnwood encouraged me to spend as much time listening and comparing each component as I needed to in order to make a decision that I could be very, very happy with and a joy to listen to in the end. The management and sales team of Brayden, Arnell and Raul were knowledgable concerning not only how each of the models would sound, but even better, how they would sound specifically in my car. The installation performed by their highly experienced technicians turned out to sound every bit as detailed and clear as they said would sound. Chad and Eddie checked with me on several occasions to make sure that the installation was going exactly as I expected it to, and that the sound would be as realistic as a high quality home stereo would be. I cant believe how deep the bass is in that small Porsche interior! When I needed a ride home, no problem, they even did that. The keyless entry and security alarm was selected with equally detailed assistance and the installation looks as good as if the factory had installed it. At the end, the Manager, Raul asked me if everything was exactly as I wanted it, and could they help me tune the system to my cars interior acoustics. It was a first rate job! I couldnt have asked for anything more. CAR TOYS LYNNWOOD is my first choice in car stereos and security systems. They exceeded my expectations!

Looking around at all the poor reviews these guys get, I wonder how it is theyre even still around? I guess because idiots like me didnt read them before going in. I was looking for a pair of speakers for my wifes Miata. I already knew exactly the ones I wanted so I did a little price shopping online. The price on Car Toys website was $10 more than Amazon and Crutchfield, but I could get them same-day and not pay shipping, so I called the store in Lynnwood and asked if they honored the prices from their website. Not "meet or beat" the other stores, just if theyd match their own online pricing. He said they did, but to be sure to print out the page and bring it in with me, which I did. When I got to the store, the gentleman I spoke to made a big deal about how much money they were losing by selling them to me at that price, and kept asking me who I spoke to on the phone who authorized that price. Well Im sorry but I didnt get the guys name, I didnt think they were going to handcuff me to a chair in the back room and shine a light in my eyes like an old TV detective show about it. He eventually and begrudgingly gave me the speakers for that price, but not before putting on a big song and dance and reminding me about fifty times about how much money they were losing. He even helped another customer in the middle of ringing up my order at the register, just to put me off and make me wait there that much longer. My credit card had already been run and I sat there for several minutes staring at the tape hanging off the machine while he helped that other customer. But thats fine, whatever. If you want to be a grown man who acts like a spoiled little child thats your choice. I got my speakers and left, never to return.

Horror experience – I recommend you avoid this place. I thought I was in a nightmare when Cartoys’ detail shop returned my brand new 2016 Golf R with the paint scraped clean off. I was wrong – this happened. Cartoys gets no stars. Cartoys did not take responsibility for damaging my car. Cartoys avoids customers with legitimate complaints. My $45,000 car was less than 2 months old with 1500 miles on it when I brought it in for a detail. Cartoys returned it to me with the paint scraped clean off. Yes you read that correctly - I brought my beautiful pristine car in to Everett Cartoys for their $300 interior-exterior detail package on May 8th and 6 hours later it was returned to me with the paint scraped clean off. I called and visited the Everett Cartoys to speak with the manager several times over the next days and weeks conveniently hes never there and never calls me back. I called the Cartoys corporate several times conveniently theyre never there and they never call me back either. So I was forced to file a claim with my insurance and get it fixed myself spending hundreds of dollars and the have to leave my car in the body shop for a week how fun! All because I trusted Cartoys to detail my brand new car! Seriously. Ive given Cartoys months to make it right and still nothing. Sad.
