I went in to get a new SIM for a new (unlocked) phone I purchased as well as acquire a Wi-Fi Cell Spot Router. The person who was helping me seemed new and inexperienced. He had difficulty processing both requests and had to get help from several other people, particularly when processing the deposit for the Cell Spot Router. When the SIM card was created, I had to show him how to insert it. He was perplexed by the booting screen of my Android phone and I had to explain to him that its the standard splash screen for Android Lollipop (so hed stop poking at it). The next day I returned the SIM card for refund since I obtained another phone at Verizon for a much better deal. Different person helping me, same problems...he had to get help to process the refund. When it was finally all done, they indicated that they couldnt accept the Wi-Fi Cell Spot at the store, that I had to wait for the return kit. As it turns out this is not true. According to T-Mobiles customer service, all T-Mobile stores can accept the return and process the refund. Also, they never processed the refund for the SIM card, despite all that time fiddling with their computer system in a vain effort to refund the purchase. I recommend going to Costco if youre looking for a good deal as well as knowledgeable and helpful staff on cellular devices, regardless of the carrier. This is where I initially opened the account with T-Mobile. Just to be clear, my dissatisfaction is not with T-Mobile but with the incompetent staff at the Rainier Ave S,(Renton, Wa) location.

This post is a few days late because I was so upset with the manager at this store on Rainer in Renton. I dont know if this man is prejudice or if he just acts like it, the way we were treated was no reason his own coworker kept apologizing on his behalf. Im a customer have been for years came in a store to buy my granddaughter a new phone and all we wanted was the price we were quoted a week prior . The manager told us that his employee made a mistake and he could not honor that even though the employee had put it in his notes the man said that that was his mistake and him being the manager he wasnt going to approve it. But what makes it even worse was to weigh. The man talked to us was like we were just garbage off the streets. . But what I have to say on a positive note is I called and made a complaint on this manager and the corporate offices made it all good. Honored the price of the phone. If you are smart, do not do business at the store on Rainier in Renton, the managers. Not a good man.

The people here at this store have no idea what theyre doing. Went on a Sunday before Thanksgiving, the staff were more concerned about the Seahawks game that they are all watching on a computer than helping actual customers. The one person who offered to help greeted me, I asked for a new mobile internet line to add to my account as part of the Black Friday promotion. I already have another T-Mobile SIM card that T-Mobile themselves sent me; the salesperson had to consult the manager and he forced me to buy the same SIM card for $20, thats fine. Whats maddening and frustrating is that when I went home the SIM card could not be activated on my iPad and it would not work. Calling T-Mobile customer service they told me I need to get another SIM card from shipped from them. Completely ridiculous.

I went to them to see if they can cut a sim card for my new phone, because it takes the micro sim but my old sim is big. The young tall girl was not cooperative even to give direction to a local phone dealer let alone to cut the sim card for me. She was rude and very stupid. I was able to find a cricket dealer a couple blocks north of them, who was great gentleman that went back to open the store from his car on his way to lunch and cut the sim for me for free. As far as T-Mobile, I was their customer for years, I will never go back to them for such reasons. The company is filled with arrogant people who will steal your money if you are their customer and treat you like a stupid person.

The best T-Mobile team Ive ever encountered! Professional but still a little goofy, the crew gave me attention right away and throughout my stay, which is a pleasant change from any other location. Ricky helped me through all my problems and questions, and when I told him about how sucky my old phone is he helped me get a new one for less than I though I would spend! And better yet, he didnt try to blame me or hard-sell me on anything I dont want. He tried selling me a speaker, but I respect that when I told him no, he listened. Probably not the approved sales technique, but whatever he did was an investment: Ill only come to this location now, and refer my friends. Thanks guys!

Very bad experience here... I bought a T-Mobile iPhone 6 off eBay, and the whole mantra of T-Mobile is that they dont lock you down. You can take your phone and your number anywhere without a contract. I brought in the phone and asked them to unlock it. They said there was no way they could do so and that I would have to take it to an unauthorized unlock service. They need the original owner of the phone to unlock it and only then after a month or two. This left the phone completely useless, as my Verizon SIM card wouldnt work at all. I had to sell the phone and take a huge loss. Shame on you, T-Mobile, for being just as restrictive as all the other carriers.

Was thinking about changing my cell plan from another company to T-mobile and had some quick questions. The place was busy and I didnt have much time. I asked how long the wait would be to speak to a rep and I was told five minutes; I was skeptical but waited around for ten minutes. Seeing that even very few of those ahead of me had been helped I ducked out. I dont expect I would have been seen in twenty. None of the employees checked back with me while I waited. Everyone just kind of had their heads down. I would have appreciated an honest answer instead the bait and switch. I would have just come back at another time.

The store itself is clean and organized. For the most part the Reps were knowledgable and knew what they were doing. The issue with this store is both times I added a line to the account, they added "features" that I did not request or authorized. I only became aware of the charges after the first billing cycles and had to complain to customer service to have them removed. Sales reps are sneaking in addl feature and coverages without customers approval. Be aware of add-ons, features and follow-up with T-mobile for them to investigate practices by stores that continue to do this.

Came in today to switch from Sprint and Walmart family to tmobile. Our experience was awesome. Ricky I believe he was one of the store managers was excellent. He really helped us and got everything we needed. My daughter wanted and iPhone 6s the store didnt have the color she wanted he called another store and had them put it on hold for us. Ricky even drove to the Milton store to meet us there to finish up our transaction. This was an easy and painless experience for me and my family. Ricky really did a good job,Im confident that we made the right choice switching to tmobile.
