Ive gone to Zoka many times over the years. Mostly to the original location by Greenlake. They are a good place when I am in the area. I live on the Eastside and thought Id try their new Kirkland location. I ordered a triple tall Americano to go. I was a little surprised by the price of $4.36. This drink is usually in the low $3 range. What I was given was a double shot pulled the full 12 oz. in a ceramic cup. It is offensive to be charged for three shots and only receive a long pulled 2 shots. Secondly, an Americano is best with a nice head of creama on the top. This was destroyed by the barista pouring of the Americano into a paper cup from the ceramic cup. Thirdly, the Americao was acidic in taste due to the long pull extraction of the espresso. Long story longer, they will not be receiving $4.36 from me again.

I walked past Starbucks for the small coffee shop with the artsy foam - big mistake...huge! Not busy at all at 4:30 on a Sunday. Two people in front of me. Waited 5 minutes to order then at least 10 for my iced latte! Three young women working there who all seemed to be loitering but the one who seemed really tuned out to the customers was making the coffee drinks with something I can only describe as painfull and deliberate slowwww motionnnn! No friendliness, no smiles, no eye contact! Wow. Dont worry Starbucks!

The coffee is a cut above Starbucks, but overall Kahili down the street was a better place. But now that Kahili is gone Zoka will be my coffeehouse of choice in Kirkland. I just wish they had better seating. The chairs arent particularly comfy and that giant table in the center is cool, but takes up too much space. Half the small tables are these tall things that require barstools to sit at. As a result there isnt enough seating, and you get the feeling its not a place where you can sit back and relax.

The cafe itself is not bad, the decor is on point and the service is good [never have to wait to long] however if your planning on staying for more than just grab n go coffee, I wouldnt recommend it as the parking sucks [downtown Kirkland] and its usually packed- forcing you to use cramped tables. The table legs are also really uneven, Ive had people bump my table before causing my coffee to spill :l

Under new management as of Spring 2017, ALREADY noticing quality go up. Great environment, great product. Often crowded, and mostly smaller pockets of laptop users, making the environment a little weird for full-volume conversation. Ambient noise helps. Just dont be "that guy" laughing at some story while laptop businessman stares you down...not that Ive experienced anything like this... :/

A coffee place that actually serves amazing coffee! No wonder this place is always packed. Being a regular, Ive noticed that the people who come here are not only serious about their coffee but also about work. Zoka is often a spot for business meetings, and those who want to get work/studying done. My only complaint about this place is that it does not open 24 hours.

I popped into Zoka one weekend about a month ago, and was welcomed by a great atmosphere and wonderful smells of coffee. I ordered one of their Cup of Excellence brews, and was very impressed. This was the best coffee Ive ever had, hands down. A rich flavor, a perfect brew, just awesome. Ill come back when Im in town again and order online when I cant get there.

My go-to coffee shop in the Kirkland area! This is a super nice location with the waterfront just a minutes walk away, and the interior is beautifully decorated and is very spacious and airy. The coffee is amazing and inventive - try the Aztec mocha, you wont be disappointed. Although its a little pricier than the Starbucks across the street, its very worth it!

My favorite coffee shop ever. For anyone whos ever hated how Starbucks burns their coffee, this place is cozy, beautiful, and super tasty! Their sandwiches are amazing, and I love their hot chocolate! The staff are all super nice and friendly. Great tables for sitting down in a beautiful, cozy, bright area to drink some coffee and work on your laptop.

I love their lavender mocha. Its not so sweet, smell and taste a hint of lavender. However, in my opinion theres not enough coffee flavor in this so next time I will try to add one extra shot of espresso to see how it turns out. Overall, this place is cool. The place has plenty of seats and it has nice street view and atmosphere.

Hand-made coffee, bordering on art. Kirkland is a tough town in which to make coffee. There are five espresso places within stone throw. Zokas coffee is worth the service wait. Their roasting style is European - lite to allow the natural flavors of the coffee to shine through. They buy good beans and they let the coffee show it.

Pretty good coffee. There are a lot of brewing options for those who prefer less common techniques. Clean and open atmosphere, but this location is often freezing cold (particularly if you accidentally sit under their vents) and some of the art that they rotate through is quite loud.

Great coffee and incredibly nice baristas. I came in one rainy morning, wet and upset after getting a flat on my bike, and they gave me my coffee on the house! It was a great place to sit and warm up until the bike shop opened - comfy interior with plenty of seating.

Above average coffee in a comfortable space. And the location is great, right in downtown Kirkland. I dont like it quite as well as the Seattle / Green Lake Zokas but if youre in Kirkland and need a caffeine fix, you could do a lot worse than this place.

Great ambiance. Reasonably good coffee at a convenient location. Not quite a Vivace, but thats too high of a bar to expect. It can be a little noisy at times, but I like this place. They have great beans (whole beans, that is!).

Quality coffee that will not disappoint. Man their hot chocolate is unbelievable and their Americano is solid. Great seating. WiFi is not so good, but you shouldnt not be staying in this shop for long.

Worst coffee experience. I ordered 16oz iced latte and the $5(!!!) coffee tasted like coffee-flavored milk. I asked if the barista has indeed put two shots and told to pay extra $0.89 for another shot.

Love the Lavender Mocha, really nice peeps behind the bar, great lighting. Zoka is probably a great fit for ADHDs or peeps who thrive in high noise environments.. just not my cup of tea.

I came in after being reccomded to get their Turkish coffee, but ended up getting a tea. The main table inside is made of wood, creatively shaped. Fast Internet and numerous outlets!

Best coffee. Barista can be a bit cranky :) good selection of pastries and croissants as well. Nice interior, and good music! When I went it was cool classy jazz or something.
