Titanium Tate

I used to frequent this Petco because of its location, but when I had a horrible and unacceptable experience with an employee I decided to shop elsewhere. The employee actually asked me if my money I was using to buy a bag of dog food was fake. They then called another employee over and that employee gave them a confused look. I asked to speak to a manager and the only thing told to me by the manager was, "Im sorry, shes new." Not that I should state it, but the currency was legit and there are easy and discrete ways to validate modern U.S. currency. Either visually (hologram) or with the pen. Not holding it in the air for ten seconds, turning it around, and calling another employee asking them of their opinion while myself and several other customers wait. Other than that incident, the store itself is small (as are most Unleashed locations), not easy to park at because Wegmans and the bank parking lots are always full, and the dog food I used to buy was out of store frequently. I cant recommend people shop elsewhere simply because of my bad experience. The dumb employee is probably gone anyways. She didnt seem smart enough to keep a job long. What I will say is that the Petco on Prince William Parkway seems to have overall better customer service and its easier to park. Of course the selection is better at Petco than Unleashed.

Its just a small Petco that stocks more high-end toys, foods, and accessories than a normal store (or just less low-end stuff . . . seems like everything in an Unleased can be found in a petco . . .). And youll pay a premium for it, for some reason. If your pet has a special diet or youre big on the raw foods thing, then maybe it makes more sense and the price difference may be worth the convenience.

Stopped by Unleashed to buy what I thought was a gag-gift for my sisters bull dog, but what turned out to be his favorite toy ever. The funny thing is, I bought 25 of these Unleashed Tennis balls - so now all 25 are his favs. The employees were super helpful for my rather copious purchase of tennis balls too. Thanks guys! Im Ray the Bull Dogs favorite Aunt now!

I started coming here because PETCO itself is pretty far out of my way, and Unleashed is very convenient. But I was surprised! The staff is EXTREMELY friendly and helpful every time. Once I brought my nervous dog into the store the the cashier on duty had her eating out of her hand! Ive never been disappointed. Sometimes they have good clearance prices too!

The staff is very friendly and upbeat, and while the store is small, they have a great selection of pet supplies. They also do vaccination clinics, which is great when your pet is healthy and you dont need to spend the money for a complete check-up.

I find Petco to be a little less expensive than pets mart. Its not as big of a store but it has everything that my puppy needs. I will definitely be back!
