I decided to go through my jewelry box and sell some of my old gold that I no longer used. Among these items were my class ring and a few other gold items. When looking for a place to go I was timid that I would be taken advantage of but when I found Family Coin and Jewelry the people were honest and treated me very well. While friendly people and customer service may have gone out in some places it is prevalent here. I was amazed at how much I got for my class ring and other odds and ends. I would recommend this business to others thinking about selling their old gold items. You will be taken care of.

A+++ Experience; I like to make informed decisions, so I decided to shop around before selling my gold jewelry. Let me tell you all that I HIGHLY recommend doing that! It will blow your mind how little most places pay. I tried 2 places before I came here, and 1 after I left here. Well long story short, I ended up driving back to Family Coin & Jewelry. I was offered $30 more than the next best price, and almost $120 more than the lowest!!!!! I would definitely come back if I ever need to sell again.

What A Holiday Surprise!!; I went to Family Coin & Jewelry after I saw a newspaper ad in the RTD. I have to say, the whole experience was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!! They were so nice and funny, and showed me & explained everything involved in testing and weighing gold jewelry. Its really interesting!! The price I was quoted was waaaaaaaaaay more than I had expected!! I was so happy to get an early Christmas present!! Thanks Family Coin & Jewelry!!

Im a long-time coin collector and heard several estimates on coins given to the previous customers that were way below value. The young guy in there then gave me poor estimates for two 14K gold rings. I mentioned several safes loaded with coins and he invited himself to come to my house or asked me to see him outside the shop for a personal estimate. Red flags everywhere. If you must go to this place, deal with the owner only.

I am have bought gold and silver in the past from Village Coin in colonial heights but found myself in this area. Their markup was almost $4 over market value with nothing other than some numbers written down on a scrap piece of paper. When I questioned the markup the guy told me it was because of a silver shortage....I will happily take my business elsewhere. village coin in colonial heights is awesome.

Really great experience here after bringing in a big bag of our scrap jewelry & jewelry making supplies. The young man who helped us went through every piece, and spent a considerable time with us. Felt the price on our scrap silver & gold was very fair too, and will definitely be recommending to friends and family (and coming back with our coin collection too).

So nice! So friendly! And so HONEST! I learned a lot about coins and gold jewelry while I was there. It really nice and safe and welcoming. Not at all like a pawn shop. Very happy with my trip there and if ever need to sell again I will be going there! BTW its beside Chuck E Cheese it was a little hard to find at first but its in that shopping center :)

Best Place In Town To Sell Gold!!!!; I have sold here at least 3-4 times, and I always refer all my friends and family here as well. These guys are honest and very freindly, plus the place is clean and in a safe location. Definitely go here before you sell anywhere else!!!!

They have the actual websites up that I used prior to going to them, so I know theyre on the up and up. Never sold, but bought some of their older coins (I like New Orleans pre-20th century Morgans). Got a good price. I would recommend them.

I was offered only $23 when trying to sell PROOF American Eagles. Family coins sells the ucirculated for $22. I was insulted. I was able to sell all PROOFS for $40 at another location. Family coin and dollar has lost my business.

The sign on the door says the store opens at 11am Mon - Fri. At 11:20am on Weds there was still no one there. If you dont open at 11am then change the sign! Or simply open on time!
