i went there today after my s3 screen cracked. I called EVERYWHERE! the nearest place was Newport news but I didnt like them the last time I was there so I havent been back. I called Cell Phone Zone after calling everyone else (the "Newport news" store quoted me at 200$ to fix) I wasnt willing to pay that because it just seemed like too much.after calling cell phone zone they quoted me at 125$ much better. 75$ better. lol. I hate that they dont have their own shop but just in the middle of the mall but hell, I felt a little more comfortable once I got there. a day before I showed up an employee asked me to call ahead so that I wouldnt waste my time if "riz" (I think) had more than 1 s3. said that its a big job and that it takes time and has to be done in a specific way. im not quoting him but thats how it seemed to me. so I was immediately noticed by all 3 employees, greeted and got down to business. they didnt try to sell me anything new or come up with anything else for me to buy. told me it was going to be a few hours and to come back, gave me a receipt up front so I knew the cost before handing any money to them. they even explained how they are trained to do this kind of job from a Hampton roads school. they were all very nice and pleasant to work with. my s3 is white but they gave me a small discount for the fact that they only had red and blue as the panel colors. which is fine, I guess it might be me but feels like I got a new phone. lol. my dad asked me if it was an s4. I said "thats my phone, the one with the big crack" he didnt even think it was mine, haha. before leaving with what everyone thinks is my "new phone" I was told there was a 90 day warranty on the screen. I am very happy and pleased that I went there and they were able to do it in LESS time than they said it would be. they made sure I was happy with the screen and everything worked out wonderful, I am writing to let everyone know that 1) I was told the bad review wasnt about Cell Phone Zone in the Patrick henry mall that was posted 2 years ago, and 2) to let everyone know I have much confidence in going back there if this happens again. thanks a bunch Cell Phone Zone for all your hard work and a wonderful job. -jenn

This establishment came highly recommended by a neighbor who recently went there and so when my phone screen broke I decided to go there myself. I brought my phone there last Wednesday 5/11 around 5:15pm and while I was standing there "checking my phone in" with the guy, I was watching his coworkers at the counter behind him. One had a droid of some type (I know it wasnt an iPhone) literally in pieces in front of him. I stood there horrified as I saw him take a sip of a Red Bull and proceed to accidentally spill it all over that phone he was working on. The other guy chuckled and handed him a tissue. He blotted it up and continued working on the phone as if nothing happened. The amount of liquid that was spilled on that phone and its pieces certainly required more than 30 seconds of a quick clean up with a tissue. I couldnt believe it. I should have known right then not to leave them my phone phone to repair. They took 25 min longer than promised to fix it. Its now less than a week later and despite being in a case with a screen protector my brand new screen somehow has an inexplicable crack in it and I havent dropped it at all. Of course, I cant prove that. Im guessing the install was poor or the glass quality is just terrible because there is no way my brand new screen should have cracked so easily. I havent contacted the store directly (yet) but thats because Im not certain I can trust them to address my problem or even repair it again. Their lack of professionalism was truly disheartening.

NEVER GO HERE!! My HTC EVOs digitizer screen broke and I ordered a new one which was $60 and could have done the repair myself but I trusted a "professional" to do it. So I took it to the Cell Phone Zone to get repaired. The guy at the desk told me it would cost $60, which is insane seeing how I am providing the part to repair it with. So I let him do it and he said it would be 3 days till I could pick it back up. So 3 days later without a phone I come to pick it up... HE BROKE IT EVEN MORE!!! He not only broke the LCD under the glass digitizer he dented the glass digitizer so it looked permanently smudged. So I had to buy a new LCD for my phone which was another $60. Then I took it back to get repaired again. He said it would be 3 days. So I come back 4 days later because I couldnt pick it up on the 3rd day. HE WAS PLAYING VIDEO GAMES ON HIS LAPTOP and hadnt even touched my phone. He said it would be ready the next day (5 days not 3). Then I came back and he said the screen I had wouldnt work. So I said you all have done enough Im not getting scammed by you all anymore. So I took it to a sprint/nextel shop back home and the guy there repaired my phone with a new shell of the EVO and gave me a free battery all for free and in under 15 min. Compared to like 2 weeks of ruining my phone even worse. I REPEAT NEVER BUY ANYTHING FROM HERE OR LET THEM REPAIR ANYTHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Absolutely destroyed the factory screen when I dropped my iPhone 6S Plus in a gravel parking lot. Called up and they said it would about 130 bucks for a screen. Not remembering my phone was still under warranty from Apple I agreed to have my screen replaced (first mistake). Service was fast only took about 30 mins to have the screen replaced. However thats where the fun ends. They told me that the screen would be just like the original and shouldnt give me any problems. Also the screen came with a 1 year warranty on parts. About a week later after not dropping the phone or having it near anything abrasive cracks and scratches started appearing in the phone screen from normal use i.e. pulling it in and out of my pocket. After that the screen itself went. It would scroll and close apps and calls and open other windows all without me touching the screen. I couldnt type anymore because every time I touched the left side of the keyboard somewhere on the right side of the keyboard those keys would activate. I couldnt press end call or open text messages. Etc. Long story short I ended up just laying that phone off and buying the next gen iPhone. Dont get your phone fixed here people. Go get a factory replacement and spend a little extra to save the hassle. This company is a joke.

Had the best experience with Cell Phone Zone tonight! I shattered my phone screen at 8pm this evening on my new iPhone 6 Plus and was in despair! After calling Verizon to check on whether I had an insurance plan (I didnt) they suggested I get the screen repaired but at 8pm - this was not a simple task. I took off in my car to go to the main Verizon store and my brother went online to locate a potential screen repair shop. He called with a number for Cell Phone Zone - a kiosk in the Patrick Henry Mall that stayed open until 9pm. I called to double check and they said that they could fix it tonight as the screen was so dangerously shattered that you would cut your fingers to touch. I am going out of town and my phone is needless to say my life! I arrived at the kiosk at 8:25pm and they had a new screen waiting for me and quickly and expertly fixed it in 20 minutes! My phone is all better and I have a wonderful strong new outer box cover as well! This made me so happy and I am delighted to have the pleasure of highly recommending them for any screen repairs for any phone, tablet or laptop! Thank goodness for efficient and helpful people!!! Bravo! I have a photo of the shattered phone but not sure how to add to the review!!
