Let me start off by saying that I dont usually file complaints or even spend the time to regester an account to file a complaints but my experience at BestBuy had me WANTING to let the internet know This BestBuy store 356 is one of the worst place to shop. This store alone is the reason why I stop shopping at BestBuy. The BestBuy in Gainsville, VA is 100x way better and I would even say the one in Fairfax, VA has good customer service but the BestBuy store in Manassas, VA is terrible... For example, I went in to buy a controller and a game because they were having a promotional deal after Christmas which gave me $20 off and if I buy $100+ worth of stuff, they would give me $15 gift cards and $25 for buying certain games and such. Will their own employees didnt even know about the promotions and I had to educate them on it when they should have known from the get go. This is the first sign of bad management... Employee made a mistake, I didnt get my gift cards but they fixed it by voiding the transaction and redoing it right the 2nd time. I came back the next day to trade in some video games to put towards preorders and spend about another $100 to get a $15 gift card, the same manager was working there and she started off looking annoyed. Not a good start... Traded in the games, gave me a gift card and here is where she was being VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. I told her that I would like to cancel my preorder of a game and her first reaction was that she needed all the product with the gift card she had issued from yesterday. I told her that I wasnt here to return anything and was canceling my PREORDER which I used the gift cards for and redo it again in one transaction to purchase up to $100 on other pre orders so I can get a $15 gift card which I was going to use to pay part of my preorder games. She then looked at me all annoyed and said that I cant keep returning items and such and that she has the right to deny any returns. First, this is my first return and second, THEY SCREWED UP MY ORDER BECAUSE THEY DIDNT KNOW ABOUT THE PROMOTIONS. I kept calm knowing I was going to file a complaint. So after getting through all this mess and when all things was paid, she then pulled the recipe and with a grin and said "sorry but it seems like you are not eligible for the $15 gift card and I CAN"T DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT." I told her that I read the terms and conditions and it states that the $15 promotion does not work towards purchase of BestBuy gift cards and any pre-paid money cards. Nowhere did it states that it excludes pre-order games which I spend over $100 on. She clearly didnt give a **** and wanted me to get on with it.... Im thinking about canceling my pre-orders from this store and go all the way to Gainsville store and do it there. The Manassas store is only 5 mins from my home but I will now avoid it like the plague. Thanks BestBuy at Manassas, VA store, you remind me why I stop spending my money at BestBuy. They need to fire or reevaluate their employees with secret shoppers because they have terrible customer service. They need to know that if you have promotions and guarantees, they need to honor it and not give us hard time for it. No wonder you guys are losing the consumer market. They treat you nicely when you are spending money but they treat you like crap when it comes to anything else that doesnt involve spending money...

Best Buy you have officially failed at customer service with me and my recent order. I order a Laptop (SKU: 5884843) on August 4th during Tax free weekend (in VA) online for pick up at the Manassas, VA location on Aug the 8th. (This was for my wife who is a middle school math teacher, is finishing up her master’s degree and pregnant. I wanted to give her a new laptop as a surprise) I should have had the order come in on August 8th. Got an email that day pushing it to August 15th. Well I called today August the 15th to ensure I would get it today. Well the first Customer Service Rep I talked to was sweet. She even called the store to see what was going on and to make sure the Manassas, VA store would call me (NEVER DID). The staff at the store failed to check in the product properly and notify me for pick up and basically sold it. The Customer Service Rep noted they would contact me (NEVER DID) and knew I wanted that computer. They canceled the freaking order at the store. I called a second time when I got the email canceling it (FOUND OUT IT SAID I DID IT DUE TO THE SHIPPING ISSUE NOT TURE. NO CUSTOMER LIKES TO BE CALLED A LIAR). This Customer Service Rep was also nice. She saw the story based on the history and knew the store in Manassas, VA messed up. She than agreed with the assessment I told her. She gave me the price of the computer $529.99, then taxes back ($31.80) and gave me another $18.20 (IMPORTANT) off because she saw the horrible customer service that the Manassas, VA store gave me. (Total Price $511.79) The order was again for instore pickup. The order was then, canceled again by the store staying they did not have it in stock via email (Wow still no phone call nothing just canceled, so promise failed). I am fed up so I call a third time Customer Service Rep Jeff (aka maybe a swindler) looked at the order history. You will understand Best Buy just look at the above price. I told him currently I was upset with the service I got from the Manassas, VA store. He saw the order history and agreed. I think there was a communication barrier with him. I told him I wanted it to come to my house. I told him of the deal I got from the second call. He said he would do the same order. Well that didn’t happen. What he gave me was a $500 override for the laptop and still charged me the taxes which made it about $530. I said Jeff you failed at Customer Service. I requested the last promise I was given and well it wasn’t given even after I asked for it. I told him to cancel the order. I do not expect the BEST BUY Corp to make this right. I would like to thank Best Buy for adding more stress to my life. Amazon may mess up but they make right and give the customer everything promised for messing up an order and then some.

This is the worst customer service I have ever received from anyone in the whole world, went there to return my MacBook I had purchased two days prior. I was told that I could not get my money back due to some BS they have come up with by themselves in the store. The manager was to worry about how many returns had been done that day and how it was looking good. I got there roughly around 7 PM and did not leave the store until 9:58pm going back-and-forth with some idiot manager that did not know his front nor his back. When I told him I was trying to get the computer I have received two days prior and would like them to honor the price they had given me because that was what was promised to me by the employee that was standing right there when I want to return this MacBook, I was told that because the employee gave me wrong information they couldnt honor the the requests. When I try to do a price match on the computer I was trying to purchase, I was told due to one letter difference on Amazon they could not price match the computer for me. I asked them if they could read the spec of the computer and was told could not do that. Pretty much the manager did not want to deal with customers at that time and all he was trying to do is be friends with his employees rather than do his job . He had his girlfriend help me with the return/exchange and have to keep going back to him to ask him questions because she did not know anything about returns and also had to keep calling some bridge that they said was the new ad on to Best Buy return policy.This was the worst experience I had ever had, if you want to spend your money dont do it at Manassas Best Buy, go somewhere else or better yet go to Best Buy in Gainesville Virginia, they have the best customer service and definitely know the definition of customer service. But I should have expected that going to Manasses Bestbuy. Whosoever is the general manager at Manassas Best Buy definitely needs to speak to their employers about customer services!!!!! On a scale from 1 to 10 with 10 being the best, I give this place -0...
