I called to purchase a wireless router using my cc so that my fiance could pick the item up in the store. The phone was answered by a young lady who asked some basic questions regarding the purchase. It didnt bother me that the woman sounded bored or lazy, because she managed to find the item fairly quickly (I understand the wireless routers sit a few feet from customer service and can be reached from their chairs). I was then put on hold. Approximately 10 minutes later, she returned to the phone and asked for my name and some information. I was a little concerned for todays youth when she couldnt spell my last name, or repeat the letters or numbers I was saying. She put me on hold, before getting any payment information. Approx 8 minutes later a man picked up the phone and apologized and proceeded to attempt to up sell me. I declined and advised I just wanted the item I originally asked for. He took my personal information and then advised the girl was back and would help me. She got back on the phone and got my personal information (this is the third time) but still couldnt spell my name (the one we already figured out previously). She put me on hold. Approx 6 minutes later she returned and asked me for all my information again. By this time I was getting a little agitated. I live in Miami and Im used to horrible customer service, but this was the worst Ive encountered in some time. After working out my name again, and providing my phone number for the fourth time, I provided my cc info. I then reminded the woman for the fourth time that this was for my fiance and they should probably have her name so she could pick the item up. If youre reading this youre probably not surprised to learn (as I wasnt) that my fiance entered the store a few hours later only to have them tell her there was no router there for her. My fiance was asked who I had dealt with. I told her to advise it was the retarded girl, and hopefully that would narrow it down. I guess it didnt. I then began to call the Best Buy so I could speak to a manager and try and determine how this store was still in business. Perhaps I could speak to corporate and take on the managers position in my spare hour or two a week. Im sure the store would improve. My fiance convinced someone to give her the router since she had my name, phone number, and cc number. After giving it to her, one of the young employees stated, "oh look, theres your name in the computer". My fiance walked to the door with the item which kept setting off the door alarm. No one seemed to care. Im wondering why we paid for it at this point as people this stupid deserve to be taken advantage of. She tried to address the matter with store personnel who didnt care. My fiance got home and was unable to open the box as it had a security apparatus which encircled the box. I know that big cities are notoriously awful for customer service, some worse than others like Miami, D.C., Chicago, etc, but I truly weep for americas youth. Ive had better customer service buying chickens roadside in Haiti.

I had a terrible experience with Juan Salvador the operations manager who would not return my money on a purchase I made the same day. The radio I purchased was sold to me with the missinformation of the sales staff. When I found out it did not have the feature I wanted, I went straight back to the same store to get my money back, it had only been 3 hours that I had the radio even though it was unopened he refused to give me back my money stating it was over 500.00 so I would need to get a check mailed back to me(I had paid cash). I got the response that the registers don't hold that much money. My response was that I see the cashier I paid he was still on duty and he could have just voided the transaction from his register and given me the money back. He replied he could not do so. Very poor customer service I paid cash and I would like cash back and not have to wait 2 weeks. Before i knew it the cashier hands me a recipt that said I would be receiving a check in the mail but it wasn't my address I immediately asked Juan to fix it he said all he could do was take my info and get back to me if he could change the address. So I wanted to take the radio back until I had a proper recipt that stated I was going to get the money back but now they said it was to late so I am forced to leave the store without my money or product I really feel like I've been ripped off. Again if you plan on dealing with crooks go to the best buy in gaithersburg they're all there.

I had the worst experience with Geek squad shady grove store. 2 months ago I was told I will receive a refund of 319.24$ as I cancelled the service. I didnt see the refund in my credit card statements, so I called the store this afternoon. The lady on the phone said that she can see the refund request for 319.24 and that it got stock in their system and she apologized. Said that someone from geek squad needs to approve it. I couldnt wait only as I was waiting for 20-30 min until they found the problem, so I came physically to the store. The assistant store manager - Shoaib was so rude. He said that he can refund the service but as of today. I told him that it doesnt make sense that someone didnt do their job 2 months ago, and I was overseas and busy and waited 2 billing cycles before I came back to "beg" for a refund for a service that was cancelled as they terribly disappointed me to start with. This is amazing. Long story short - The geek squad service was so bad, they took 2 weeks to try and fix my lap top, which they didnt, so I took lap top back and fixed it somewhere else. Then when I canceled the service and was told my card will be refunded, someone didnt do their job and it didnt happen. Now that I come to "complain" and see whats with my refund, they want to refund me from today as if nothing was promised to me 2months ago. This is called fraud. I dont know if Im going to purchase at Best Buy again. They dont deserve it

Shout out to Melissa for providing the worst possible service here. If you want terrible service do come here. Went in to buy a Kindle and was continuously ignored by employees for a good 10 minutes before we had to deliberately hunt someone down just to get brushed off or handed off onto another employee. Finally was "helped" by Melissa who glanced at the empty case (yes we have eyes we know its empty) and told us that if its not there they dont have it. Didnt offer to look it up in their computer systems, ignored the fact that online it said they have it in stock, and walked away. She happened to do the exact same thing to someone else but said she was going to look it up (another lie as she didnt do that either for that customer too) and that triggered us to go ask another employee that might actually know how to do their job. And yes it paid off because we were helped by another employee who showed us that they had SEVERAL in stock. Purchased it and was out. Severely disappointed by the "service" available here... Also get this. Went to go complain to a manager and was told by their customer service center that they only accept complaints via their surveys after youve completed your item purchase. Apparently face to face interaction is now obsolete when it comes to customers and any service provided here...
