Hate to write such a bad review for a Best Buy location. I had my worst Best Buy experience at this location. Went their a couple of times and every time I have been there I was disappointed. First visit was for a phone that I bought from one of the Best Buys store. I went there to see the Samsung Cell Phone rep straightway. She was completely clueless on the problems that I was trying to tell her. I also knew the solution since this was a repetitive issue and she completely ignored to listen to my problem or to even resolve it and rather blamed me for a fault in the software. I went to other store in the neighborhood and they gladly fixed it for me. It was a simple reload of software. Next time I went there was to buy a HDTV. I get it that these days a lot of people are buying 4K TVs but I dont think that this means they would not assist someone who wants to buy a rather simple smart TV. The third and last time I ever tried this store was to buy a Chromecast and it took them 10 minutes just to find a person who could help me with billing. There was no one who could explain me the difference between various other options for a casting device. Please refrain from visiting this location and look out for other store.

Ok. So first I called to make sure they had what I was looking for. I called for an hour and each time i had to go threw there automated system. Every time they transferred to the section I asked for it would ring 5 times then give me a busy signal. Now I did that for an hour and finally decided to just go up there. I got there and could not get anyone to help about 10 minutes later I finally got someone and they told me I needed to go to a certain section. So I went to where he told me to and had to wait another 10 to 15 minutes for someone to help me. finally got someone and they told me I needed to go to a different section. So I went to the section they told me to and tried to find what I needed and could not. So I tried to ask someone for help and could not get anyone to help me. So finally after spending over an hour in the store I finally just left without anything I was there to get. So all in all I had a horrible experience at the best buy in Germantown, MD and had a horrible experience trying to find out if they had what I needed over the phone so I did not have to waste a trip in case they did not have what I needed. I only wish I could give them a half of a star. HORRIBLE

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE! Waited for hours at counter to return an item just to be told by a careless rep that, "this is a corporation, what do you expect?" There were 5 or 6 employees just standing around chatting and getting nothing productive done. I asked why everyone was just standing around, the manager just walked up and said, "were a little jammed here" - keep in mind I was the ONLY customer waiting for over 40 minutes to make a return. There is a reason why Best Buy is being eaten up by internet electronics companies, they used to have an edge with their customer service, but know that is obsolete, and their prices are ALWAYS higher than competitors online (i.e. Amazon, Tigerdirect, newegg, etc.). There is NEVER anyone to help with products, and when there is, they are extremely misinformed about products, and are always forcing their high stock items on you. I will never shop at this Best Buy ever again. I will make sure to pass this information to EVERYONE looking to buy electronics. Then the CEO will wonder why this business folded on his watch.

I bought a kindle here, the next day (even though I kept it in the box) the screen had lines through it. My friend said hers did the same but Amazon exchanged it with no problem. I went back to the store with the receipt and was told that it was damaged and they would not exchange it! I told them it was kept in the box and it was not damaged. After I was accused of being a liar they said if I bought the insurance plan they would exchange it. I tried to give them the credit card # from the purchaser (it was a gift) while she was on the phone and he refused to do it, eventhough I told him THIS WAS HOW WE BOUGHT IT!! But he said he wouldnt accept it over the phone eventhough they did before. So I gave him my card and then he says- oh we dont have any, I will call you in 2 weeks when they are in.... NO THANK YOU!! And by the way, when I bought it (a 2hr 45min ordeal)they put the card through 10 times so it was flagged as fraud so I had to contact the credit card company to resolve that issue and use a different card! Such a horrible place to shop.

I was audioTech section for two hours and I eventually canceled the whole order and installation the next day. They lost about $700 of business. Roger (who appeared to be the manager) was knowledgeable but he eventually delegated helping me to someone he called the "expert". The "expert" had to call in to get answers to every question asked him. Poor guy. They put in the position to failed. So I asked, "are you new?" Apparently they just transferred him to this department, and he had no idea about product specifications, ordering components, cancel/make reservation for installation. I came back the next morning and cancelled the whole order. The Associate I talked w didnt know how to cancel the reservation. He told me to simply "just dont show up". I told him that just seems "odd". He replied with a snaughty attitude and the standard get out-of-my-store brush off line, "I am sorry to hear that sir, have a good day!" Yep, I left and wont be back there ever.

Negative - 5!! Please just order it online. The Manager there "Andrew" (supposedly) who I just got off the phone was the most unprofessional, rude, pompous, and irrational person in the career of retail sales. I promise to never shop at best buy again. His attitude definately portrays that best buy doesnt care about its customers or the persons whom they hire to serve them. I simply asked him to honor a price match from Asus, as they state that they do. As someone with better customer service stated that they did at another best buy, unfortunately - this one was closer. "Andrew" treatment (yeah, it was that bad and condesending) has made me add Best Buy to my #$$boycottlist$$ Before this review I just bought my various big ticket items from Amazon, Asus, & Dell; like I should I known to do in 2015 anyway. I actually only went in there to touch before I bought, but the annapolis salesperson had me wanting to give best buy a shot.. well, never again will I give BB $$.

I purchased a washer from best buy for my mother in law and she did not like it, so they exchanged it immediately and issued me a refund so I could purchase another one. They did not charge a restocking fee. I ordered a second washer and almost a month later it went down in price. I called customer service and they quickly and easily refunded me the difference. Representatives at this best buy location are always friendly, quick to assist, and knowledgable. I made the mistake of ordering a washer and dryer from home depot because the delivery date was going to be faster, they did not want to price match their own sale price after 3 days of purchase and wasted hours of my time by telling me to go into the store for the price match only to get the run around and receive rude customer serivce. I will only make large purchases in best buy from now on, no matter how long the wait. I always get great customer service and help.
