I got my 1st tattoo today at Ancient Arts in Hampton, VA. They were great!! I was terrified & they were patient with me & made me feel like I wasnt the 1st person to freak-out about my 1st tattoo! They were all so nice and they were wonderful artists! The exterior looks a little shady, but the inside is very very clean! Well priced too! I got a very small piece done & they only charged me $60 (which is their minimum) I Am Tattoo wanted $80 & Blue Horseshoe wanted $100 (the people at blue horseshoe were also very rude to me when I went inside to talk to them!). Great place, great value! If I get the courage up to get another tattoo before my husband gets re-stationed somewhere else, I wouldnt go to any other shop!! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!! You guys really were the best!

I was a walk-in: it was my first tattoo and I wanted it on my ribcage. It was easy and efficient: not a lot of consultation really needed; I literally showed him a picture of something I liked on my phone, he drew it up and went to work making it a one day process. My artist was Jim Cattano and he did an extremely good job, whenever I show people I always get compliments on his work (lily floral design about four inches across and four inches down give or take some). I actually got this tattoo in mid-January of 2017 so Im a little late on this review but I think my artist deserves it. Thanks Jim.

I cannot say enough about the guys at Ancient Art in Hampton. Josh recently did a beautifully colored half sleeve cover up for me, and I could not have been more impressed. Everything youre looking for in an artist: experienced, friendly, knowledgeable, super hygienic, extremely talented, and very patient. To top is all over, his rates are extremely competitive...not the cheapest in town, but much less than youd expect for the quality of work. If youre looking for custom work on the peninsula...go see Josh, you wont be disappointed.

My sister in law and I went there this past weekend for tattoos and we were so happy with the finished product! Not only was the place clean, the guys working there were awesome. They made us feel right at home and talked and joked with us beforehand...then when they started tattooing their minds were on the art. I will be going back and Im referring all my friends to them as well.

They were awesome. Very great atmosphere and clean environment. Went in with wanting a script on my arm with a font I already picked before going in, Matt offered to show me his style of writing and his work alone had me changing my font to his. Once finished, it looked amazing. Definitely a great place to get a tattoo.

Went in today to get a cover up of a crappy tattoo done on my chest. My artist name was Coyote he was super patient and made sure that i got what i wanted. He was very friendly and made a very painful experience an also awesome experience. Im very satisfied with the work and will definitely be going back!
