I purchased 4 appliances for a kitchen remodel from the Fairfax store. We picked up all but the KitchenAid refrigerator. They were to deliver it on Friday, when they called they said it would be delivered from 3:30PM to 7:30PM (I cant believe they cant come closer on time than a 4 hour window, their worst than the cable company). To be expected they didnt show up until 7:20PM which was bad enough but they brought the wrong unit. I called the store and they said that they couldnt do anything but bring the wrong one back to the warehouse. They said that they would have the manager call me the next day, I waited all day, no call. On Monday I called the store and talked to the manager and he said that he couldnt do anything about it and I needed to call the distribution center manager. I called him and we had a conversation about delivering the correct unit on Wednesday, I told him that it would have to be at the house by 10:00AM which he agreed too. On Tuesday evening a got a recorded call saying my unit would be delivered between 1:00PM - 5:00PM. I then talked to the person at the warehouse and advised that I was promised that it would be delivered before 10:00AM. She said that I needed to talk to the manager at the store. I called him again and was told he couldnt do anything about it and I would have to call the distribution center manager. When a called him I was told that he and all other managers were gone for the day and to call back the next day. It appears that they are confused about customer service. I currently still dont have the correct unit. Needless to say I will not be purchasing any more products from this company. I would suggest anyone looking to buy something from Bray and Scarff think about if this is how they treat someone that just spent over $6,000 with them how will they treat you.

We have continually had very good experiences with the Fairfax Bray and Scarff. We bought our washer/dryer set there a year ago and recently (Spring 2011) purchased all new kitchen appliances and granite countertops. With the washer/dryer, they price-matched as promised and met the lower price of another store. For the kitchen appliances, rather than pushing for the immediate sale, they advised us to wait until the end of the month so we could take advantage of a $1,000 rebate offered by GE on our desired purchases. That made a big difference for us. We worked with Kelly Morrisette to do the countertop order--she was terrific! Quick on follow-up calls and helpful with design decisions; also sensitive to our budget. We plan to tap her again in the future to help us decide on a backsplash! Diana Wright was a constant example of why you buy from a store like B&S rather than "big box" stores--CUSTOMER SERVICE. Diana stayed on top of everything, trouble shooting issues before they became problems and quickly attending to our areas of concern. She always took our calls, emailed us, and kept us in the loop. For example, she noted a communication snafu that resulted in both the granite source company and the B&S store charging us a cooktop installation fee--she brought it to our attention and the store refunded us the fee with no problems. A lot of places "drop you" after the check clears. Not Diana--she has continued to make sure we are happy by answering our post-purchase questions and ensuring coverage for a service call to come repair some scratches in the granite. Both Kelly and Diana were professional but always very personable and a pleasure to deal with!

If there was an ability to post negative stars, I would do so. I have been sitting here for hours waiting for your techs to come install a dishwasher that my wife bought. Honestly, dont you think I have better things to do with my day than to wait for your people to show up? Let me give you a hint: theres this wonderful little thing called a C.E.L.L. P.H.O.N.E. Marvelous device really. It allows you to set an appointment time, then if you are running late, to call your customer so you can let the customer know. That would mean that if you set your appointment for 12 today and you were running late, you could call. Maybe I could have run out to get something done instead of hanging around here. Why dont you try this little device? They are not expensive, and as a business owner, I use one myself when I am running late for appointments with my customers. Honestly, I hope you dont think this sort of thing reflects well on your company, professionally speaking! OH! Look at that! I see that someone else had the same problem 2 years ago and not only were the techs 3.5 hours late, you didnt even apologize! You look like a company that people should RUN from. For some reason, my wife likes you, but I sure dont, and the more I read and sit here waiting, the less impressed I am.

Had our old washer go out one evening and I knew exactly who to call about a replacement, Don Smith at Bray and Scarff. I dealt with him for a new Bosch dishwasher 2 years ago, had a great experience and an excellent price. Contacted Don while I was on vacation and asked him for a recommendation on a front load washer. He directed me to a Whirlpool front loader which had all features we wanted at better price than the box stores, that have no one to help explain the features and option details, that are so important. I purchased the recommended washer, asked for delivery when we got home from vacation, he set it up and it was done the day I requested. considering it was labor day weekend and store was jam packed due to sales promotions, he still responded immediately, answered all my questions and got it done right away. Weve been using the washer daily for 3 weeks now and it works even better than expected. When any of my friends ask where to go for knowledgeable sales people and an excellent price when buying a major appliance. Ill give them Don Smiths number at Bray and Scarff. Super satisfied with my experience and wouldnt buy anywhere else!!!

The sales people were initially helpful and the prices were competitive with other stores. The appliances are more high end, which is why we chose them. Although, if you have to go to the store a few times and your original sales person is not there nobody else is willing to help you. I had to go three times and finally when I complained another sales person helped me. The issues came with the delivery. The window was to be between 4 and 8:00 PM, however they did not show until 11:15 PM. My husband and I were furious and tried to turn them away, but they said sorry with no explanation and proceeded to bring the appliances to the door. Additionally, they had to take the door off to get the fridge in, which caused a lot of noise while our two children were sleeping. When the microwave packing was removed there was a large dent in the bottom of the unit. There was no sign of trauma to the packing which leads us to believe that it was a returned item that was repackaged and delivered to us. I wouldnt recommend them to anyone. Find another company with high end appliances.
