I had a good sales experience but I wanted to wait a while before writing a review in case there were any negative surprises. Well, its been a year since I bought the car so I feel comfortable writing a review now. First, the sales experience was great. I knew exactly what I wanted and I didnt expect them to have it on property. They didnt have it but they were able to get it within two or three days. I was impressed with how smooth the whole sales experience went. Second, after buying the car Ive been in for an oil change and inspection and had no problems. My car came with free oil changes and inspections (along with discounts on detailing and other services). I believe this is what they do for all new car purchases. So after a year, I feel comfortable recommending Brown to anyone looking to buy a car. The people I met are genuinely friendly and professional. The organization is well run and it shows. My follow-up service visits have been painless too (and they have a nice shuttle service to take you to and from work if you need it). For what its worth, I know other people who have bought cars at Brown and they had good experiences as well. I give Brown a thumbs-up and would happily suggest them to anyone in the area looking for a car.

Service Department said they dont adjust the tire size in a Jeep computer and recommended a tire alignment place to do it. They didnt seem to know what I was talking about at all. The jeep wrangler computer has tons of tire sizes in it so when you change tire size, the speedo will remain accurate. simple to select which one you want, you just need the computer and to plug it into the OBDII port on the jeep. so simple. I was made to feel like someone just wanted me off of the phone. I even told them I had called other dealers and they all gave me quotes. The person said she "talked to her service director and that they dont do this" (this is something that is extremely common for jeep wrangler owners to do and this place sells wranglers...) all dealers do this. It takes about 4 minutes with a chrysler computer.

I brought my vehicle in for a recall and when I first dropped it off I waited for a hot minute before anyone even said a thing to me much less took my vehicle keys to get it worked on. Then everything that I had given them over the phone (VIN, Recall, and etc. ) I had to give them again. And at the Chevy dealership when you bring your vehicle in they at least run it through the car wash and rinse it off and they protect the seat and steering wheel by using covers while getting it worked on. Didnt see any of that going on at Dodge. Shows how they care about the customers vehicle. And they didnt turn the air bag light off after they fixed the air bag (the recall)... Needless to say I wont go buy a vehicle from the Dodge store in Charlottesville.

I was not pleased at all. One item was an inoperable passenger side window control switch. I called to check on the window and was told it was fixed. When I picked up my vehicle the passenger side window switch was still inoperable. Evidently, the technician checked the driver side switch for the passenger side window (it worked) but did not check the passenger side window switch. Very poor attention to detail which calls into question the organizations approach to repairs in general. The issue is especially galling as it had been diagnosed correctly during a previous visit. A review of the vehicles service record would have uncovered it.

Great Jeep service department!!! I had a recall and another service performed. I couldnt get there during business hours. So they set me up with a loaner that I picked up and dropped off after hours with the sales dept. Not only did they give me a loaner, but when they called to tell me the jeep was ready, they said the whole appointment was no charge, even the service that they quoted me $99 for. (Reflash PCM). So all in all I got a loaner (so my wife and 3 kids didnt have to drive a hour each way to drop off and pick up) and they did a $99 service for no charge. And they were nice about it!!!!!! Thanks Brandy!!!!!

This was my third purchase from Brown in Charlottesville - I will never go anywhere else to buy a car! I have a Honda and a Jeep now and I love both of them! Other dealerships told me that it would take months to find the type of car that I wanted, but Brown went out of their way to find it in less than a week! Michael Barbour from Honda is absolutely fantastic, and the staff from Jeep, took the time to show me every feature the car has. I felt valued and appreciated - not just like another sale to them. I highly recommend Brown Dodge Chrysler Jeep to anybody!

Just bought a new, blue Dodge Grand Caravan from Browns. Got good discounts, good value on my trade-in. Fast, friendly service. Our agent was Lisa Moses and she always is glad to see us. The little extras, like free yearly inspections (even on my other car), free oil changes for 4 years, are a nice bonus. If Lisa is not available when I wander in with a question or two, the Manager or someone else rushes to accommodate me. The parts Dept. and the Service Dept. are fast and friendly and seem to be well organized to keep things moving.

Great experience! Bought the 2014 Grand Cherokee in September 2013 as a first time Jeep buyer and couldnt be happier with the purchase! The Brown team worked very hard to get the exact car I wanted (color, features, etc). As the 2014s were very popular, selection was extremely limited at the dealership, but the team worked hard with other dealers and the manufacturer and got it done. Ive brought my car in for service and detailing a few times, and the Service department has also done a great job!

The customer service is good unless something goes wrong. I drive a 09 Chrysler Town & Country. First thing they will say is, "it was working when you left here." Ive been there for two different recalls (1. to keep accelerator from sticking in the floor; 2. for the ignition switch, which they made me wait on a list 2yrs for) and a few oil changes. If you dont want to pay someone else to fix what they messed up, do not get service at this location. Go to Richmond if it has to be work by the company.

Chrysler Town and Country is the worst vehicle ever people, do not listen to what they say and when you hit 100,000 miles and you have to replace an engine dont say I didnt tell you so. Nothing to do with this dealership but the brand and Chrysler WILL NOT stand behind their product because they know it is bad. This is why we cant buy american. I tried and it has been a complete epic fail. I will go back to foreign vehicles, at this point I would buy a Volkswagon before I buy american ever again.

My experience over 30+ years and almost a dozen autos new and used, is that sometimes people make mistakes. No one is perfect. This includes Brown Auto. However, Ive never had a difficult time getting someone to listen to me. Brown employees always make it right and do so quickly. I cannot remember a single incident where something happened, an accident, forgetfulness, whatever; that wasnt corrected quickly & efficiently by my friends at Brown. I would recommend them to anyone. Joe McMoneagle.
