I enjoyed west herr Toyota of Williamsville. The sales staff did an excellent job but I did have a few bumps along the road (no pun intended). Noah Thies (sales manager) was incredibly helpful and he wasnt pushy in the slightest way. I recommend asking for him! - unfortunately, the 4 star review is based on the miscommunication within the west herr auto group and some of their techniques. Heres why. Day #1- I was offered a decent price on the vehicle of interest. I was told I could pick it up 2 days later for the price offered. Day #3 - vehicle was listed as sold on the west herr website - when in reality, the orchard park west herr, Chrysler dodge and jeep had taken the vehicle to be "pre owned -certified". Heres the issue, the price jumped up significantly. All with in a couple of days. West Herrs policy states that any vehicle certified pre-owned must be sold solely by the original manufacture. For example; Chrysler pre-owned certified must be sold at the west herr Chrysler dodge and jeep (for up to 30 days). After he 30 days, another brand of west herr can sell it... the problem is, I had an offer placed on it! I was going to pick it up a few days later! This was a total let down because I had already negotiated the price of the vehicle and within a couple of days, the price went up and I was no longer able to purchase it from west herr Toyota of Williamsville, for the price we agreed on. We were very disappointed.and t was no fault to noah thies. It was out of his hands. So, I decided to contact the company. Heres the bright spot.... the email went directly to the owner of west herr and he made it a #1 priority to get me the vehicle at the price we negotiated. On the plus side, I purchased a vehicle at a great price with a lot of maintance done. On the negative side, I wish they wouldve done the maintance needed before listing it for sale. For example; The vehicle I purchased had air conditioning issues, emission issues and they also had to replace the brakes. IM HAPPY THEY FIXED THE ISSUE but Im also wondering what wouldve happened if I purchased the vehicle before the orchard park Chrysler dodge and jeep "certified pre-owned" it . Would I have a lemon on my hands? Yikes! Again, Im very happy with the service that west herr Toyota of Williamsville provided but Im still somewhat concerned. - I was severely pressured to buy an extended warranty/service plan. Its seems bizarre to me that the same company who spends ample amount of time praising your vehicle will turn around and tell you how many things will Break once you buy it: this point has nothing to do with west herr. This point is an industry issue... everyone does it. - Im a little disappointed that I didnt get the preowned certified guaranty. They did the work after I had a price negotiated but to be honest, I dont want to be greedy. I got a great deal because of a good salesmen (Noah thies) and good upper management. However, they need to work on their communication. If someone has an offer on a car. Sell it to them, dont take it away. Also, do the work thats needed before you post it for sale.

I was shopping for a new mini-van . After doing my research it looked like the top vehicles were Toyota Sienna, and Honda Odyssey. I went to West Herr Toyota to test drive the Sienna, and they had an Odyssey as well. Unfortunately both vehicles were not right for financial reasons. When I told the sales manager, Mike, that it looked like we were going to have to switch our search to a dodge grand caravan and that we had already talked to Transitowne about that model, he said that West Herr has a Dodge store and that the sales rep would be able to help us with that. So our West Herr sales rep found a Dodge Caravan for us to look at. Both vehicles were comparable in model and trim level but Transitowne’s van had less mileage and West Herr’s van was newer.. So we compared the two vehicles and like good consumers we tried to make a deal for the best bargain between the two dealers. I had gotten my financing pre approved through my credit union , but both dealerships asked to run my credit to see if they could beat the rate my CU gave me. So West Herr came back with what seemed to be their final deal, and it seemed like a really good deal. They said they could offer a lower percentage rate for a shorter term, than Transitowne. They said they could do all this before checking my credit but after understanding that I already had a pre approval. They ran my credit TEN !!!! times and when they couldn’t follow through on the deal that they said they could give me, the previously mentioned Mike became rude, arrogant and condescending. He demanded to see the loan terms my bank was giving me and and basically discontinued all negotiations and stopped all communication. The whole time we had been working with West Herr they claimed that their focus was on customer satisfaction, but this experience left me dissatisfied and VERY ANGRY. I felt as if they could have disclosed more about their credit application process, because ten inquiries on my credit report is going to sink my credit score, and when it looked like they couldn’t follow through on their proposed deal they became obnoxious and petty and gave me an overall bad feeling. I would not recommend going to West Herr because of this experience.. I do recommend going to Transitowne where we have purchased our last two vehicles. The salesman there, Mark Lacey was very nice and worked out an excellent deal for us. The management staff was very professional and friendly. Maybe the management staff at West Herr should ask them for lessons. Addendum: West Herr Toyota had their sales manager call us back and apologize after the GM read this review. The sales manager apologized profusely and hand delivered a gift certificate for our favorite restaurant to me. In the essence of fairness I wanted to add this.

Leasing made easy. I just leased a RAV 4 at West Herr Toyota in Williamsville. One thing that is unique about West Herr Toyota in Williamsville is Stephanie Lehsten. I truly enjoyed working with her as she made the experience smooth, calm, and simple. When I first met Stephanie, her genuineness came across to me immediately. When I sat down with her, she sought to form a relationship with me. She didnt seem to just be trying to sell a car, which was obviously her goal. However, she asked pertinent questions and seemed to truly listen. She rode around with me when I first drove the RAV, offering details about the car as well as her favorite features (given she leased one prior to her current vehicle). She also offered to let me take it for the night. She kept in contact with me en route to making the decision. However, she didnt try to corner me into a decision, intimidate me, or make me feel guilty about trying to work within my budget. This honeslty made leasing the RAV 4 more appealing. Each time I came in to meet with Stephanie, she offered me tea or coffee. When I decided to lease the car, she took care of registering the vehicle and changing my policy with my insurance agent. She made sure all paperwork was explained thoroughly (but in laymens terms so it was easily understood). She gave me confidence that I had been provided with informed consent before I wrote my initials on anything. She took me on a tour of the facility and offered to have me schedule my first oil change. She transferred my plates while I met with someone else and then eagerly volunteered to help me transfer all of my junk from my old car to the RAV. My new RAV had a full tank of gas and had even been warmed up while it was waiting for me to drive off with it. A week later, when my graduate documents finally had been accepted from Toyota for the grad student discount, Stephanie called me to let me know. She didnt have to as the deal was already made. She remembered I asked her to call me so she did. I could have gone with another Toyota dealership but I wanted to make the deal with Stephanie. She has high integrity, is knowledgable about her products and company, and was able to answer the majority of my questions. What is even more laudible is that if she could not answer a question, she didnt just make something up. Rather, she quickly got me in touch with someone who knew the answer. When I drove off with my new RAV, I remarked about how simple everything had been carried out. But most importantly, I felt I had been respected throghout the whole process.
