This is the worst Giant Foods Ive ever been to. Ive heard that the manager here schedules more workers when shes working so she doesnt have to do anything--for proof of this, peek in at 10am on a Tuesday, when no one is doing their grocery shopping, and youll see 4 cashiers manning empty registers. Show up at any time on the weekend, however, and youll see 1 cashier working. I wouldnt care so much about this, but the self-checkout machines at this location are particularly troublesome. Produce is very poor quality. Store brand is surprisingly bad--Im used to choosing store brands at other grocery stores, but I wont do that at Giant anymore. Ill buy basic ingredients here--milk, flour, eggs--but go elsewhere for the ingredients that matter (meats, cheeses, fruits, veggies, etc.) Im told this store services fewer customers than other Giant locations, so it gets lower priority on the produce/meat distribution list. Having been to other Giant locations, this appears to be true.

Another brand new building in the area. Which means that of course it is a spotless, clean, well designed facility. The parking garage is downstairs, then you take the elevator upstairs. To their credit, Giant allows shoppers to scan their items and then see their running total accumulate as you finish your groceries. When youre done, just process the scanner and youve saved some nice time. Im sure in 20 years, all places will be scan-groceries only.

Pretty expensive, but one of the few grocery stores in the area. There is also fairly frequently a discrepancy between the price advertised and the price at the cash register. Ive had to correct the cashier a few times already, and its getting really annoying. This is perhaps the only Giant I know with a whole aisle devoted to alcohol, although its mostly beer and wine, nothing over probably 5% alcohol.

I like this Giant and there is free one hour parking. There is a decent variety of items in each section. The employees are helpful. They have been doing a better job with the number of cash register attendants and they are always friendly. I rarely have to wait too long to check out. Their prices are better than Safeway and Harris Teeter. Free 1 hour parking in the garage.

Funky smell upon entering the store. Decent selection but seemed to be lacking compared to other nearby locations. Cashier (the only one there) that helped me seemed to be completely zoned out and unaware the entire time I was on line and paying for my groceries, and stood there watching me bag all my groceries without offering any assistance

The produce has that over processed/ over picked feel to it. Plus while have not done a true comparison, the prices seem high. Ohh... and having to pay $2 for parking over an hour after spending $100+ just seems rude! Thats it, I am down grading it to 2 stars!

This store has a great natural foods selection and often saves me a trip to MOM or Whole Foods. The produce department is great if you dont always need organic. I feel lucky to have this store in my neighborhood within walking distance.

The staff here is great! I accidentally left my wallet there w $200 in it over night... Came back for it the next day & not only was the wallet still there, but so was the money. Also the seafood is fresh & they have a good selection

Horrible employees! I ordered a birthday cake for my 3 years old. But she said there is no hello kitty cake and they dont have that order. My daughter she keep asking me where is her hello kitty happy birthday cake

Good selection. Parking can be confusion. You park in an underground garage. You use a ticket machine. The first hour is free so unless you do some epic shopping you shouldnt have to pay to park there.

My go-to grocery store. Food quality and availability is good. Not quite as nice as some grocery stores in the DC area, but the prices are reasonable and lines are rarely long. Parking is easy.

If you like the Dupont Circle Soviet Safeway, youll love this giant. Lousy selection, terrible produce, long lines, grouchy employees. Dont shop here if you can avoid it.
