I purchased a big piece of salmon on Thursday night, left it in the fridge for two days and was preparing it for lunch. While I was pulling out the bones, I saw something moving. It was a huge larva. Disgusting. Of course I throw the whole salmon away. I called Safeway to see what they could do about it and Nicole (from Customer Services) said that I would have to bring the tag from the salmon package or my receipt to get a refund. I told her I did not have any of them and I know they could pull out my transaction from their register, since I used my Club Card. However she said it would be almost impossible to do it, because they have over 20000 transactions happening a week. Great customer service! I just want to let people know that unless you are a hoarder and save every single receipt, you should think twice about doing your groceries at Safeway.

We had moved a bit farther up on 270 to a new home and have been using CVS on Key West and Rite Aid on Quince Orchid Road. Over the past two years the disappointments with lost orders , no follow through and more importantly rude , unhelpful , uncaring pharmacy staff has crossed the line of tolerance . If you use Falls-grove Safeway you find a friendly staff that is caring , helpful and polite. Plus as an added bonus you can receive $25 gift card for each new RX you have them transfer over . Ms Patel knows me by first name and asks about me when my wife picks up for me. Thank you Safeway for being there for us! Ken & Gen

After seeing the reviews below, I wondered about this Safeway. Fortunately I was pleasantly surprised. There is no excuse for rudeness in any store, but Ive always found the pharmacy employees to be very helpful and thorough. It would appear that the self-checkout folks need some lessons in customer service. I usually use the real checkers and have had nothing but friendly service.

Decently priced for the area. Standard food selection. The employees are nice. Bathroom is usually in good shape, once when I complained that it wasnt, the cleaned it right away. I notice that this place got a few bad reviews, but there is nothing beyond "very bad." Sounds like a cowardly way to lash out at a store because you didnt get your way one time.

The Delly is my favorite department. If you are looking for personalized, friendly, and fast service Martha is who you any to ask for. Whenever my work or family is having a party I always get Martha to prepare the chicken and potato salad. The price is great and it taste like my grandmas.

I am so disappointed with the way they treat their customers. Every supervisor has her own personal rules to run the business. Very unprofessionals! Not to mention their expensive prices compared to Harris Teeter. I am not going to shop there anymore.

Overpriced, as all grocery stores in Maryland, yet better priced than Giant. Beware: lots of produce isb frequently out of date, especially deli. I returned items twice because of that, and found expired produce on shelves countless times.

Nice store and well laid out. The food options were plentiful and the store was pleasant. Not happy that I had to pay a .25 surcharge for each bag I needed for my groceries. Im from NY and this was a new process for me.

The Fallsgrove mall is somehow popular with young crowd, maybe because its close to Shady Grove campuses of U. of Maryland and the hospital, and Wootton HS down the Wootton Parkway.

Usually the only place nearby with a good selection of produce. The corn was very picked through this past time I went, but thats to be expected the day before the 4th of July.

Surprisingly clean, well stocked, and large Safeway. Usually Safeways do not meet up to my very low expectations, but this one was surprisingly nice.

There were not enough registers open and the self checkouts were malfunctioning. There was a crowd and people were getting very agitated and upset.
