The front of the store is so crowded with tables and chairs its extremely difficult to get through. The last 2 times Ive gone, the only 2 ways around the furniture were both completely blocked by people with shopping carts or baby carriages, sitting at the tables or looking at the merchandise on the racks. What would the fire marshal think? I waited for several minutes (the only person there) at the deli counter. There were 2 people working, but they were at the other end of the counter making sandwiches or something. Neither even looked in my direction or said theyd be right with me. Finally the guy who does the pizzas came over, and told me they had no salami and hadnt had for a long time. He sent me back to the meat department. The meat department had no idea what the guy was talking about, but finally we found some pre-packed salami in a freezer that was blocked (again, Whole Foods makes it difficult to get to the food unless youre a pole-vaulter) by a truck stacked high with boxes. But the packages werent dated and the meat dpt guy had no idea how long theyd been there, and said that in any case the salami wouldnt be fresh. When I checked out, the person at the cash register was mostly interested in what was going on around her. At one point she left the register and went to the next one over. The person there asked what she was looking for and said, "Oh, nothing, Im fine," and then came back to her register and continued checking me out. At Giant, the aisles are clear, you can find the merchandise, and anybody working there will help you immediately and efficiently. Whole Foods, at least this branch, could take a lesson.

Safeway in DC needs to fire everyone and start from scratch! I think their best effort is poor! As for Whole Foods, Its clean, the staff are nice and its has a smattering assorted foods. I was disappointed, the spanish food section was little more then a small spot in the store you could put both arms around. Sad especially with all of the OTMs living in DC. And especially after I read a review touting the mexican food, excuse me but "NO"! Again this is a nice store and most would like it better the Safeway any day.

Frequently come away with bad products - salad bar ingredients often not fresh (which is annoying to find out once youre already home), just packed a sandwich for lunch this morning with stale bread that I purchased last night. Observed multiple mice last night in the deli area as I was waiting for my deli meat to be prepared. Called and spoke with a manager who said they are working on the issues and will "try to do better." Will happily be taking my business elsewhere.

Rats! I have seen rats there. And recently (Feb 2017) they were shut down temporary for rats. Its was on our local morning news. Once youre past that problem. The selection is good but a smaller store so limited. Sometimes they simply are out of things I need or use regularly. (Certain types of cheese, flour, sugar, heavy cream) when its available I stock up or have to goto another store.

My favorite Whole Foods in DC. The cheese department is unparalleled. Seriously, the staff of the cheese department can solve any of your entertainment quandries. Hint: the growlers of beer are tucked back behind the cheese. Produce is fresh. The only downside is the checkout lines -- they are chaos personified. Stick it out, and youll get a good, fresh, filling meal.

Decent selection for a small store. The body department is separate from the groceries, which can be disruptive if you forget something. They were out of canned beans once, which was bizarre. Pretty healthy wine and beer selection; ditto goes for produce and flowers. Prepared foods can be limited. Service is always pleasant. Parking can be tight.

Bought chicken and in <24 hours and its so rotten when I open it customer service are uncomfortable with the returned bag. No condolences, straight business return. Terrible first experience after already being taken aback by the markup on everything compared to TJs, Giant or Safeway. Spent more time wasting time than cooking. Two thumbs down.

Tiene productos muy desconocidos y eso si, muchas cosas orgánicas, pero los precios son bastante altos en comparación.

Now that its part of the Amazon Empire, well, its still Whole Foods. Good. Fine. Cool. Okay. I like some of the international foods/spices/etc they carry, particularly the fig and various other flavor spreads imported from Croatia. Try those out right meow!

Neighborhood grocery store. Tends to be crowded and the space is cramped. More or less a normal whole foods. The is a cafe area so to can eat there, but it is not a great place to eat because it is near the entrance, creating a hectic atmosphere.

Poor customer service - mainly the register staff, who tends to be push and lacks curtesy. However, the remaining staff is great. Go to the foggy bottom and/or p st locations which have a much friendlier check out staff. Avoid if possible.

I actually find this store to be adequate, but is smaller in scope when it comes to prepared foods. Their pay by the weight food bar is strong. Its just the nicer foods that you would want to order are limited.

Convenient location and free parking! Only down side is that they dont restock very efficiently and often run out of fruits and vegetables by the end of a day. Try to go early in the day to avoid this problem.

Not bad for general grocery shopping, but my husband got horribly sick after eating their prepared food, so we werent surprised when we heard the Health Dept shut them down for myriad infractions.

Good selection of products, the wine section has a nice selection of moderately priced, good wines. The produce and meat depts are very good, though prices are a bit high.

Its a Whole Foods. However, there is no cafe but there is seating, There a few local draft beers in the back of the store for pint or growler. Friendly staff.

This place has free parking garage. Store is not very clean specially at the entrance but in the aisles you find everything clean. Staff are very helpful.

Overpriced, disorganized, and understaffed. This isnt worth the effort to leave Giant at Cathedral Commons.

It is a relatively small Wholefoods. Hence, the selection is small and everything here is pretty Limited

The service is not what it used to be. When items are out of stock, no one knows when they will be back.

This Whole Foods isnt actually that big. The P Street one is larger and seems laid out more intuitively.

Great organic, fresh food at reasonable prices. Try their Winesdays, a lot fun for a good price.

Worse pizza you possibly can buy. You are better off with fast food. Save your time and money.
