My service was great and the selection is outstanding. But while I was being helped I could over hear the two other service girls loudly complaining how "stupid" their customers were for asking questions. For a "high end" store here frames alone can cost $300-900 I expect the service personnel to keep comments like that behind the break-room door. VERY unprofessional...Im very glad I had the young that helped me. If I was the owner or manager I would fired them on the spot....thats how loud and rude they were.

Be very careful. Voorhuis leads you to believe they accept VSP Insurance when in actually they do not. In fact, they do not accept any insurance. Thankfully, I called to verify my appt. because they do not do reminders of any kind, emal or phone call. When I called to verify my time, I asked about VSP and then was told, "we collect 100% of the exam and then you can go file a claim with VSP". Not professional at all . Will never recommend to any of my colleagues.

Service was poor. Sales people standing around talking to each other when I entered the store, no greeting at all. Finally asked me five minutes later if I need help. I said yes and five more minutes later one man got up to assist me. He was not happy because I wanted to see several frames. At this point I left. The staff seems to have an attitude when interrupted.

I was a customer for many years at the Connecticut Avenue location and just started going to the Alexandria location. The service is consistently excellent at both. Both doctors are thorough, patient, and professional. Voorthuis has done a great job at creating a chain that is cookie cutter in the best possible way - great service, professional standards.

they have a nice selection of glasses at this store. the staff was very attentive, professional and knew how to sell a pair of glasses. they brought out a number of frames that i liked, with me eventually purchasing a pair of oliver peoples frames. yes, the frames in the store are expensive, but i kinda knew that theyd be at a store like this.

These guys are great - they went the extra mile to get lenses put in ski goggle inserts for me in two days (I already had the inserts on hand). They are not one of the "discount" chains, so youll pay a bit more for frames and such, but their service is excellent and hands-on. I plan to use them for all my eye needs from now on.

When you have challenging issues getting the right lenses, like I do, it can affect your whole life. Voorthuis gives great service, and you can tell they are a local family business, and not a national chain. Extensive selection of eyeglass frames and fast turn around on new lenses and glasses.
