On Wednesday, August 24, 2016, about 2-hours before our scheduled departure from Washington DC, my wife lost a lens. We visited 2 eye care establishments across from our hotel with disappointing results. Quite accidentally, we saw your Connecticut Ave. facility. We entered, with low expectations, only to be pleasantly surprised by the prompt and exceptional service and sensitivity we received from Brian and Dr. Mazia. As a result, my wife was able to enjoy the remaining days of our vacation in comfort. Thank you very much! If ever you expand to our area of northern New Jersey, we will be among your first customers.

I liked my experience here, but I am extremely frustrated by how they are messing up my contact orders and am finding a new doctor ASAP. I just asked them to order my contacts for me (90 day supply). They had no problem charging me $180, but first delivery just sent me 30 days. I asked them to fix it, and then they send me 60 days of a cheaper one day lense than what I paid for. (I only like accuvue true eye- the others bother me). No answering machine to leave a message, no return label. They insist its not their mistake but their supplier, but either way it is absurd.

Voorthuis is the best optician Ive ever used. Their customer service is AMAZING!!! They were awesome at helping me to pick out the perfect frames, plus they have a fantastic selection - very stylish frames. My 3 favorite pairs of glasses are from Voorthuis on Connecticut Avenue, and I will absolutely return to Voorthuis for my next pair!

Like Rohmteen, Ive dealt with Voorthuis over the last 3 years. Paul is extremely knowledgeable and helpful with frames, frame repair, and fittings. Dr Mazia is fantastic - my new contacts fit great, and the progressives I got work great.

Great collection of eyeglasses and the person who helped me was terrific. Im helpless when it comes to picking out frames and he was very good about steering me to frames I like very much. Very pricey, though.

My glasses broke shortly before a flight back home. I looked them up, I was in and out with fixed glasses in about five minutes (without telling them it was a rush job). Very happy.
