I usually go to this Walmart when I need to do some normal shopping because it is the closest to my house. I havent really had many problems at all besides the long wait when you are trying to cash out, but that is it. Today was a different story. I was just recently given a nice TV by a friend and wanted to buy some kind of device that would stream Netflix on to it. I looked online and the Walmart website said they had exactly what I wanted (a roku). Now before I drove over there I wanted to call and make sure they had the model I wanted. I called and spoke to a lady and she said she would connect me to customer service. The line rang and rang and rang and eventually it was directed back to the same lady. I informed it was the same caller and what I needed and she said she would connect me again. It rang forever again, and then I heard someone pick up, just to hang up. I figured it could have been an accident so I called again and spoke to the same lady. She said she would connect me and it rang and then I was hung up on again. At this point I was really annoyed but thought I would try again. This time she straight up just hung up on me. So I called again, reminded her that it was me again, and she said she would connect me AGAIN. I bet you can imagine what happened. So then I called back (Im stubborn, I know.) and told her I had been hung up on multiple times and I really just wanted to know if they had the item is stock. I bet you can imagine what happened next. So after that I called, spoke to the same lady again and told her I just wanted to speak to a manager to find if the item was in stock. She hung up on me again. So for the millionth time I called back, "reminded" her she was getting me a manager and I finally spoke to one. The manager sounded really sweet and was helpful and actually got me to someone who could tell me that the item was in fact in stock. The only reason I am not giving the store a one is because of the nice manager and the fact that my other experiences havent been completely horrible. If you are going shopping for something easy and arent in a rush this store is okay. But if you need any help with customer service, or if you want to call them for any reason I would say find any other store but this one.

I moved closer to downtown from Taylorsville - whose WalMart I liked - and, after reading the dismal online reviews about this closer-to-downtown Supercenter WalMart, I decided to never shop there. However, one day I needed something I only could find at WalMart, and I didnt feel like driving all the way to the Taylorsville WalMart, so I took a chance on shopping at this closer-to-downtown Supercenter WalMart. I was amazed! Super shiny floors everywhere, friendly and helpful upbeat staff, everything arranged neatly on shelves - no sloppiness, plenty of cashiers available! Aisles amply wide, store layout intelligent. Perhaps this store once was in bad shape years ago, but the management there now has turned things around completely! I have returned to this store several times and each time it has been the same as described above. The management seems highly effective and benign and the workers are happy. I have never been in a WalMart or any store I like as much as this one - it is outstanding!! And the covered parking is a definite plus - especially when shopping in the rain or snow!! I learned from a manager that this WalMart in the past had suffered from much theft by shoppers. That is the reason why cosmetics are paid for in the cosmetic department and printer ink is locked up - not just kept in sealed plastic boxes. That is the reason backpacks must be put in lockers at the entrance. Very effective measures have been put in place to greatly reduce financial loss to WalMart from theft - and they are working! So dont be offended if, on leaving, you are asked to show your receipt. It is all part of reducing theft by our fellow shoppers - to help keep prices low at WalMart. Some of the negative reviews posted against this WalMart may well be from disgruntled criminals who have been banned by management from shopping at this WalMart. WalMart Supercenter, I love you! Thanks for the enjoyable shopping experience!

I agree -worst Walmart ever. We were coming through Salt Lake City on our way to CA. We decided to pull over (it was 2:30am). We pulled over in an industrial area but then decided since Wamart (corporate) has an RV friendly policy and we needed supplies we would google the nearest location and park there so we could grab what we needed and get back on the road. We parked next to a semi on the side of the store with other trailers (2:45 am). At 6:30 am there was a knock on our door. We opened it to a tow truck driver who said he had put a boot on our RV and we needed to pay him $150. CASH (Atomic Towing) and he would remove it. We objected. He stated we were not allowed to park there. We explained we specifically googled a Walmart location because of the RV friendly policy and he said this Walmart had signs stating you could not park. We did not see signs when we pulled in. He then stated he would be waiting outside and if we didnt come up with the cash he would tow us. We tried calling Walmart - no luck. Walked into the store for help. We were rudely told we should pay closer attention to signs. We explained we had only been there a few hours and wanted to get some supplies. The woman who claimed to be the manager said her name was Sue but her Walmart vest had the name Donna on it !?!! We are told to pay attention. We went out and looked for the signs - and found on one of 3 signs on a post in the interior of the parking lot (not when you pull in from the street) it said no RV. We were already in the shopping area and apparently had we parked by ihop in the same lot it would be no issue. We were essential held hostage - $150 to park 3 1/2 hours. Salt Lake City ought to be embarrassed to have a store like this! We could not wait to get out of the city to spend our money elsewhere!

I will never go back to this particular walmart!!!! Standing in line with my baby in my cart at customer service I had a security guard come up to me and ask me to check my bag into a locker up by the front entrance. I asked why, she told me because its a backpack. (Its a small Adidas bag). I asked her if she asks people to check in their purses, she told me no. I told her I wasnt going to check in my bag cause Im not a teenager trying to steal anything and I keep my wallet, keys, phone, diapers and wipes in there like anyone else with a purse would. She walked away. Then up at checkout, I tried returning 3 things, rollerskates, a Lego set, and swim shoes that have been sitting in my sons closet since july (never used, tag still on, and still had the reciept. I know its past 90 days I was going to return as a no reciept with my other items from christmas). They told me that shoes since they "saw" the reciept and that it was over 90 days they wouldnt take it back even as a no reciept return. And that my other two Christmas items totaled over 50 dollars and they wouldnt return them. I asked why, they told me that its over 25 dollars and as of Saturday (4 days ago) they stopped doing Christmas returns over 50 dollars with no reciept. I said ok since the Lego set was 21 dollats can I just return that item, they said no its a "Lego set" and therefore a "high theft item". The manager was right there and said the same thing, and I asked her to show me a list of things they wont accept without a reciept-those so called high theft items, cause to me they were making all this up as they went. She told me to leave or else I would be escorted out! Ive neve been humiliated like that before in my life and deemed that completley unnecessary!
