This store is the Mecca for do-it-yourself hipsters. The ambiance is phenomenal, the smell of freshly sawed wood and coffee fills the air while classy music plays in the background. Ive been coming to this store for years, and every time I find something new that I cant live without. The owners, Sharon and Cindy, are knowledgable and dedicated to getting exactly what you need. There is a wide selection of hardware you will not be able to find anywhere else in the valley. I highly recommend going in here for all your DIY needs, or even just to browse around. Highly recommend!!

This is the place to go if you are looking for unique hardware (door nobs, drawer handles, etc) or special order hardware. Silver Star specializes in helping you find higher end or hard to find hardware for your kitchen, bathroom or front door or gate. If you want to buy art, they have that too. I have loved the art that I have purchased here. It makes a great addition to my home. If your in the mood for coffee they have that too! Stop by to meet the charismatic owner. I am always greeted with a smile. This is an all around fun local business to pay a visit to.

I tried to support Silver Star Hardware since it is an independent shop feeling the squeeze from big box retailers and Internet discounters. To that end, I expect to pay a slightly higher price and to look at fewer models in stock. That would be fine if the proprietor could make up for those with superior customer service. Unfortunately, that isnt the case. Im afraid Ill have to go to Lowes or Home Depot for lower prices or the unnamed high end retailer on 3rd West for greater selection. Sorry.

not sure why they call it a hardware store, but a good place to go if you want a doorknob and a cup of coffee. do not expect to find a screwdriver, screws, nuts, bolts, tools, light bulbs, wood, or any sort of thing you might find at something that would be at a traditional hardware store. Just cabinet and door hardware, and a bunch of random stuff including gourmet coffee.

Nice place to find a unique gift! High quality door or bathroom hardware and knowledeable staff. Sitting to have a coffee and no pressure, stay as long as you like environment. I prefer small stores with new items on the shelf each time I visit. My wife and I visit each year when we are in town on buisness. The mail box cellection is cool too!

This is a poorly run business. There are much better places in town if you are looking for a great finds. Dont waste your time here. Better deals and better people to work with.

This is a fantastic store with not only unique hardware, but really cool small items: jewelry, small gifts, magnets, housewares. This is one of my go-to stops.

The owners are very unfriendly and angry people. Interacting with the public is something they probably shouldnt be doing.
