I have ordered Edelrid Shield II Helmet from Gear Express and i had to wait some time untill i got in touch with customer service.They seem to be nice people and after a few chats I found out that my card was not charged so i had to pay for it via Paypal. After completing transaction everything went smooth and i had to wait for item to arrive for some time since i live in Europe. Item was priced way cheaper than in Europe, they ship internationally via USPS which is cool since i try to avoid express services like Fedex , DHL and similar since they tend to rip off people here for handling before customs duties and VAT. At the end it was worth the wait. Also gear selection is great and prices are very competetive.They have clearances, outlet, daily deals, etc... I recommend getting in touch with them before placing an order just to chek stock and iron out details if you have some special requests.

Ordered a rope marked as dry treated on website, but received standard version. Called to sort out and was told no returns on safety gear; that would be most everything they sell for climbing save for shoes, clothing, and chalk- LOL. The fellow I spoke with said I could sell the rope on eBay and just order another from them. Methinks not. Caveat Emptor

Gear Express is a great company and Blake is awesome. He knows his gear and goes out and uses it, so he is a wealth of practical knowledge. The last time I went ice climbing with him, he brought at least 4 different ice tools for us to try out. This is the place to go for all things climbing.

If you live nearby, they take walk-ins. Prices are fantastic and the walk-in experience is low-key, casual and friendly and not intimidating at all. I will absolutely continue to buy gear from these guys.
