I shop here solely for the 5 star products, but am frustrated with the lack of customer care the staff provides. They act as if they are higher than the customer in almost everything they say. I also dont recommend renting gear from BD. The bindings on my skis acted up on a long day of skinning. After returning, Matt at the store made a smart-ass comment, wondering why the day went poorly. The BD outlet out west is FAR better. It may have a lot less products but Lee M, who works out there, is a great help. He is genuinely the nicest person you will meet at BD.

I needed to replace my AT boots and went to the BD store because a friend had recommended them as the best place to go. I found the staff to be extremely helpful and knowledgeable. They measured my feet and looked at my foot in several different shells. In the end the best shape for my foot was not the BD Shiva that I intended to buy, but a dynafit boot instead. It didnt feel as good out of the box but after heat forming the boot it was great. I would recomend them to anyone who needs/wants honest advise and expertise.

I purchased a headlamp from Black Diamond and upon using it discovered that it had a slight imperfection, I contacted their customer service and to make a long story short.... I was blown away at their amazing customer service!! They really do care about quality of products and have a phenomenal business model. They stand behind what they sell. Was in the store for about 20 minutes today and all three sales people were behind the counter talking to each other. Nobody approached us to help with the equipment. These people obviously didnt want to work on a holiday and apparently not working on commission. We have been buying lots of new gear for upcoming vacations this year, and have had great help everywhere else we have been. Not spending my money were I get ignored!!

This place is legit. They make the best gear and the people here are super nice. I recently bought a Jetforce Avalanche airbag and it was recalled which was annoying but they got it fixed within a week and the bonused me a new headlamp. That is great form! These guys will take care of you and honor their work. What more could you want.

I shop here a lot for the products, not for the service. The sales staff acts like theyre part of some elite group club youre not allowed to be apart of. Condescending, hard to track down, and unwilling to bring you up to their level. Save yourself the hassle and buy BD products online or from the friendly staff at IME or REI.

I am brand new to ski touring and skiing in general. I went into Black Diamond to look into AT boots. Lee, the person that helped me out, was very knowledgeable and patient in answering my questions. I am very appreciative of the info and would highly recommend the BD shop to novices and experts alike.

Warranty service on my LED headlamp switch was handled very pronto! The store has mostly hard core climbers gear, and for normal people Like me , the headlamps ! Great people, clothes and great quality gear.
