An amazing outdoor sports store! They have a very good variety of gear, starting with high quality budget brands like Kelty and Eureka and ending with pricier stuff, as well as dabbling in some ultralight equipment. Some harder to find items like tent zipper care kits and wag bags are also in stock. There are tons of obscure replacement clips, buckles, ties, backpack frame pins. The prices are good. A few things I bought on Amazon before were priced the same or within $5. Selection of hiking footwear is tremendous, all very fairly priced (once again in online price range). The staff is very knowledgeable. My hiking shoes were falling apart, so I stopped by for a replacement. They were lightly staffed on Monday morning, yet the young woman working there spent good 20 minutes helping me pick and fit the right shoes, and gave me tips on how to tie shoe laces not like an amateur.

DO NOT RENT FROM THIS STORE. This is the worst costumer service ever. Snowbowl stopped letting people up so we went 1 day early to return. Im fine with having a no refund policy, but the man in the counter was exceedingly rude and belittling. All my other friends went to SKI HAUS and their experience was 100x better. I was shocked at the difference. If I could give a 0 I would. I thought they were awesome for opening late, which is why we went there instead, but knowing what I know now I would have just waited for ski Haus to open the next day.

Thoroughly recommend Peace Surplus. They have a great selection of products for really anything outdoorsy and helpful, knowledgable salespeople to guide you to what you need. My family was going on their first multi-day backpacking trip. We rented backpacks from Peace Surplus - great experience from start to finish. The store salesman patiently fitted the backpacks and made appropriate adjustments to ensure we were as comfortable as possible. Our trip went off great and the backpacks worked a treat. Wonderful experience renting skis and snowboards at Peace Surplus. Having a large family of both skiers and boarders, we looked around for the best prices and luckily discovered Peace. Very convenient, on Rt. 66, they really took care of us. Brand new equipment, knowledgeable sales staff that cared about getting us into the right stuff. They also carry clothing and accessories so we could replace the things we forgot, like gloves and goggles. We always rent our equipment on vacation and this place is the best!

I took my family here to rent skis and snowboards and was consistently surprised at the quality of which they handled everything. Everyone there was immensely helpful and knowledgeable on the gear we needed, and the actual boards and skis were top tier with a remarkably reasonable price. If you are planning on skiing in flagstaff or are from AZ and want to go up to colorado, I cant think of a better place in all my 25 years of renting skis than peace surplus.

Went here with my BF to rent for the day. Prices were good and I got great skis that seemed new. My BF liked his board and said the techs new their stuff. It is nice to find a nice place in town, I have been to some of the other guys and didnt get treated very well. In a small town where people talk you should treat your customers nicely like at Peace. They seem to have a lot of stuff for everything outdoorsie and I LOVEDDDDDD their cute coats!

I needed snowpants to go ski that same day. I first stopped at a much smaller and more expensive store called Aspen Sports around the corner. They had fancy botique stuff but nothing for normal people. Peace is open early and have a great selection at decent prices. The staff was helfpull and kind and I quickly got my pants and was wearing them on the slopes within a half hour. Thanks Peace Surplus!

Boycott the Peaks - Choose to ski elsewhere until Flagstaff makes a commitment to not use waste water to produce artificial snow. Who wants to ski in toilet water? Tell Peace Surplus and other companies that you want "natural" environment as your vacation choice. I will, as a customer choose not to shop at Peace Surplus as long as fake snow created by using reclaimed water for artificial snow.

I have started cross country skiing in the last two years. I get my rented skis and boots form Peace Surplus. The first time I rented them the staff was friendly and patient with all of my questions. I cant afford skis but for $10 I get to enjoy the Flagstaffs many trails and not drain my wallet. Thank you peace surplus. You guys ROCK!!!

Dave helped me try on some boots a few weeks ago. He also was kind enough to point out some interesting spots on a map of the area for hiking. I was impressed with his knowledge of the area and his helpful attitude. If you have questions on anything related to hiking in or around flag, this is one of the best places to visit.

We headed up to spend Christmas on the slopes and stopped at Peace to rent skis. Staff was really helpful getting the kids set up with snowboards and showed patience of saints! Their rental equipment was really nice--practically brand new! My husband even picked up a pair of ski pants that were perfect. Well be backkkkk!

Nice products decent prices bad return policies. Got pants brought home tried on didnt fit as well as I thought. Bought back three days later with receipt refused to take or give credit as there were no tags. We spend hundred of dollars there a year but wont be going back.

Really nice and polite store. Lowest prices in town on GCNP great and cool Nalgene bottles of local areas. Great selection of hiking and disc golf gear as well as used gear. Went out of my way to return twice. Rate it as good if not better than Babbitts in downtown.

Fun place to go to if youre looking for souvenirs or gear for the outdoor. Some items are pricey (sneakers and hiking shoes for instance) but its a specialized store so thats to be expected. The staff is very friendly and used to helping out of towners.

Really an outdoor store and not much of a surplus store, but maybe thats the idea behind the name. Great selection on everything I outdoors and reasonable (not fantastic) prices. I will definitely stop there again next time Im in town!

I got my Ospreys 65 ml Backpack 5 ys ago here and I have traveled many places with the backpack. Their service was very good than I expected at the time. I bet uncountable Acers have got some nice items here as I did.
