The new management needs a kick in the pants regarding customer service. The new rule at your location regarding no fifteen it twenty minute announcement for closing is unfair that both patrons and staff. The only announcement was one saying the store was NOW CLOSED. This was abruptly followed by a POUNDINGS on the door that almost broke the lock coupled with pulling on the dressing room door. I tossed my own clothes back on as fast as I could and grabbed a small portion of my selections leaving and obscene amount of things for the attendant to put back. When I asked at the register why no prior notice was given at 6:40 or 6:45 or even 6:55 I was told that the new management had instructed them not to give one anymore. This entire experience has really put be off the DI. I usually spend list to a hundred dollars each time I visit and the treatment today caused me to purchase only about $20.00 worth of goods. From the Return Missionary standing guard at the exit who did not say thank you and or good evening, only steered me to another door as the one i was headed towards was locked. His only words of service were WRONG DOOR - Usually I love the DI as I am an artist working with recycled goods, but today has made me open my phone book to search elsewhere. I hope that today was an isolated incident ir location because the brutish attitude toward the customers and employees at the Welfare Square location was UNREAL. The cashier was pleasant and informative and the dressing room attendant looked like she might cry when she saw all the things I couldnt try on and she was going to have to put back. Cheers to the new management staff for making me feel like I was in prison. Im not sure what they are hoping to accomplish with not giving advanced warning for closing but I wouldnt be surprised if your staff loses a few dressing room attendants very soon.

I usually love shopping at this store. BUT I WONT SHOP HERE ANYMORE YSTERDAY I WENT TO THIS STORE AND WHEN I WAS CHECKING OUT I HAD 3 ITEMS WITHOUT A TAG SO I PuT THEM ASIDE SO I COULD ASK FOR A PRICE .THE CASHIER WAS NICE BUT WHEN SHE ASKED WHAT I THINK WAS HER SUPERVISOR FOR THE PRICES SHE SAID "NONE OF THESE HAVE A PRICE WHAT A COINCIDENCE" i didnt pay much attention to this comment at first so she gave me high prices for some of the items. So i didnt buy them. So i payed for my other stuff and as i turned around to put the cart back where it goes i hear the lady which i think was the supervisor tell the cashier something about how when so many items dont have a price and i didnt here the rest but as i was walking out i thought about it all and i realized the lady was talking about me and only gave me high prices because she thought i took of their price.. why would i take off a price if i wanted to but the items? This makes no sense to me. And im sure prices fall of when people try on the clothes and im sure i wasnt the only person to try on those items as i found 2 of them in the dressing room.I wasnt mad because of the prices i was mad because the lady was rude and because she falsely accused me of something i didnt do. And just for the record i can afford new brand clothes but i like shopping at di for fun when im bored its great because you never know what you will find. the prices seemed high to me because i bought 3 vest new with tag from $3-$4 which was a great buy one of the items that didnt have a price was another vest but this vest was not new and she was asking $8 for it.. Another item was a basic long sleeves shirt and she asked $5 for it I know i can get new ones with that same price at genx so i didnt buy it. And the 3rd item was a knit sweatshirt

Poor experiences, one after another after another..... Security there are Bullies, they get physical with shoplifters who are stealing amounts less then $5 in value!?! I have watched security there harass pregnant mothers... A bunch of racist off duty LDS police officers...... Selection of clothes is horrible on the mens side, their collectibles section is the worst I have ever seen, like they have just giving up on certain Depts. Go to sugar house or sandy DIs stay away from the 2 downtown locations if you can.... I was also a former employee, trust me, bad karma all around negative vibe.

Love looking for clothing deals here! Furniture doesnt seem to be so good usually seems like stuff that will fall apart maybe somebodys trash. And when theres empty spots or trash on the floor to choose from there not so good about bringing out good pieces from the back. Also most of the staff except the management and cashiers dont seem to know what day it is if you ask them a question you just get deer in the headlights most of the time. So just make sure youre prepared to be patient if you need to ask for any assistance or go to management. Management has always been very accommodating.

I went here today and the manager named Jim acted like I was going to steal stuff. I was alone and I was indecisive of what to buy so I was asking my boyfriend on snapchat then the phone. At the register the clerk called him over like shes at the register. He proceeded to come off his register and see me out like I was again stealing stuff. Jim and his employees should be ASHAMED of themselves. I am deeply offended by how they acted towards me.

I really like the deals you can find here but because the aisles are so narrow, you cant take your cart down them with you. I left mine at the end and within a couple minutes it was gone. This is the third time it has been taken while I am shopping at this store. The next day luckily I found all but one of the items that had been in my cart back on the floor.

Because the mangers follow you around like your going to still something from the store. Makes people fill very uncomfortable. An they have to many mangers at the frount of the store. You would think after all the money they make from the stuff they sale they would have camera s like most stores do

One of the smaller older stores of the chain soon to be converted to a homeless helping facility. Many vagrants, homeless, and beggars due to its downtown location. I have seen crack smokers sitting on the grass in front! I feel least safe at this store compared to all the others.

I regularly come here to buy high quality button up shirts and I always find a couple! You have to spend some time looking so dont be surprised to be in here for 30 minutes. They have excellent golf supplies, movies, showcase items, and the workers are always helpful!

Hit or miss. Sometimes you can find good items and good prices. for the most part I browse and leave with nothing. once in a while something will catch my eye. But certainly worth walking around and checking what they have you never know
