Email sent earlier today: Hello, I was just in your shop when a woman in a pink pant suit singled me out and told me that I had to put my purse on the counter. No other woman in the store was asked to do this. I looked at the unprotected, open counter, and decided it was entirely unsafe for to leave my Coach purse with all of my cash and personal belongings on an open counter for anyone to take. I told her I was just leaving and walked towards the counter where my husband was in line to make purchases. This is all well and fine, if you want someone like that representing you and your church. However, as I walked away, she became snarky, and continued the conversation to include "just remember it for if you ever come in again," and the like. I understand that my appearance may have bothered her, as I am in a tshirt and jeans, covered in whatever my kids have decided to decorate my shirt with, and messed up hair that speaks to their stylist skills. However, singling someone out of an entire room full and requesting them to do something that puts their own personal belongings and money in danger, is unreasonable. To be treated like this at a Lutheran store is beyond troubling. It is unacceptable. This type of behavior is what the world is seeing your church put forward as its public face, and I pray that you correct it. Thank you

They hide as a Luthern thrift shop.but they, having nothing to do with the Luthern church. Last Saturday, I took my mentally ill brother with me shopping. He was stable on court ordered treatment. He forgot or was unaware of being asked to leave 8 months ago when he was having phsycotic episodes. He would get caught shop lifting. This time a man from the back bolted at Steve yelling and screaming. I defended Steve and said in a loud voice to the man that he was not acting like Christ but like a devil. As we left the store I spoke to a manager named Carol. I mentioned that the the man or anyone could have asked Steve in a firm and polite way to leave. Dont treat the mentally impared like a an animal,the have feeling, The next day Sunday a visit from the sheriffs Dept. The dept told Steve that the were proud of the being stable and well but informed us. That we were barred from going in the thrift shop And they would have us arrested if were to visit again. I ask anyone reading this blog. Not very charitable. By the way the Luthern charch wants no association with that so called Luthern charity. We called for Christan counseling because we believe the Luthern are a Christ drivin church. Dont think that there the same.

There are so many great reasons to donate and shop at this thrift store. First of all they have great used items and great prices. Second, the money this store generates goes to needy missions around the valley. Next time you stop by talk to the volunteers about where the money goes. Knowing this will make you want to donate and shop here more and tell your friends about this awesome thrift store.

Although some of your workers are a little withdrawn towards people of color, its a great place to patronize! Im an advid gently used shopper, and that is whats most important. Peoples attitudes dont move me whatsoever! Despite all that, the WV Lutheran thrift store has a lot of great deals, great products and a lot to offer those living on a budget!!

Amazing selection and always well organized and clean. Lots of antiques and every thing you can imagine. The place is huge! Really love the furniture annex, the new holiday shop and the recent addition of childrens clothes & toys.

I love popping by to pick up high quality clothing for next to nothing. Not uncommon to find $50 silk ties for a buck and $200 dress shoes for $3 - $5. Ive picked up very high end suits and sports coats for less than $20.

This thrift store has a furniture annex that is filled with extremely nice items at very affordable prices. My most recent purchase was a set of end tables that were an excellent match for my living room coffee table.
