I recently stopped shopping at Walmart in Harrisville and have done all my shopping at Target. Occasionally Target doesnt have something i need and I have to go elsewhere but for the most part it is pretty good one-stop shopping. The store is clean. The hours are pretty good. I like that they notice when its busy and usually pull more people to cahier. The food selection is good, but I especially like the Up and Up brand of things and the clothing and home decor section is awesome. They have a pretty strict return policy but I love that they can look up a return using my debit or credit card so I dont have to try to keep track of my reciepts. I also love that they print out coupons at the register... Every once and a while I get some great ones and I can even combine them with other coupons! The staff is friendly. Its sometimes hard to find people out on the floor if I have questions. I think the prices are pretty fair and very comparible to walmart but I think the quailty of their items are better. I like some of the brands they carry also. I will continue to use Target even though I have to go out of my way a bit. I like that they have a big selection online... while most of the time they dont do any sort of shipping to store or shipping discount, its nice to know that I can find other things there. A previous review mentioned it being difficult to access. There are several access points to get to Target and if you go out on the East side you can get onto a street with a light. Riverdale road is busy but I have never felt overwhelmed with accessing Target.

This Target has terrible, dishonest management (Mike). Around 7:00 am we showed up in the bitter cold, stood outside the door and waited for management to give us tickets for a very popular Christmas item. He keeps us waiting for about 20-30 minutes before he comes to the door and says they already SOLD OUT of the item this morning (mind you they dont open till 8:00 am) we were wanting. I said, how is that even possible?! He said, he passed out the tickets ALREADY this morning. I said, What time did that happen because when I showed up I was the ONLY one/first in line. He said he passed them out around 3:00 am, (just FYI, on Black Friday they dont hold places for the first one there you have to wait until the store opens). While waiting not one person showed up with a ticket and we were all very disappointed when turned away. After reviewing Targets policy this goes AGAINST IT and is very crooked practice. Another time when I showed up for a different item he gave me a ticket after Id been waiting for almost an hour it was only 5-10 minutes or so before the store opened. He never said I could go back to my car or leave the store. So I dont believe what he is saying is true. They are more than likely taking these items for themselves and/or other employees are permitted to purchase at 8:00 am. Which isnt honest practice and again goes against their Target policy. I plan on escalating my complaint about morning manager Mike!

My daughter recently had a $70 baby registry item go on sale for $34.98. When it was out of stock in the local Target stores so she purchased it online but it came in at full price. I took it to the Centerville, UT Target store to get a price adjustment or return and rebuy it at the sale price but the customer service manager refused to do it. She went so far as to pretend to scan the bar code and told me it wasnt even in their system. Because I had suspected what she had done, I called the Riverdale store. The person who answered the phone was very courteous and told me that not only would they make the return, I didnt need to bring the large item in if I would just take a photo of the box and the UPC code. When I went to take the picture I discovered that the UPC code was on an entirely different area than the Centerville manager had scanned. I went in to the Riverdale store just before closing and the manager very pleasantly and promptly helped me with the transaction. Not only was the item "still in the system," it was even $10 lower and he gave me that lower price. The feeling I got from my experience in Riverdale compared to Centerville was night and day. I appreciated the Riverdale store managers help and cooperation and will continue to shop in that location and recommend it to others. What a difference a single employee can make. I wish I had gotten his name so I could thank him in this review. Well done, Riverdale.

Terrible costomer service!! Waited for some help at electronics no one and for 10 min. Asked for help. Took them about 15 min to send some one to help. I asked for a Nintendo switch and the guy said they were all sold out. As I was leaving I saw him pull one out from under the counter and give to one of his, I can only assume, "buddies". Every time I call they tell me they cannot hold any. Today I waited until it opened and went to the electronics and there was a sign that said " we are sold out of Nintendo switches" yet again no one comes to help me. So as I was walking out I thought I would give them a call just to make sure. Sure enough they had 1. By the time I had walked back in they had sold to someone else. I am utterly descusted with target and its terrible customer service.

Their customer service team is HORRIBLE at honoring weekly ad pricing that is for THEIR STORE SPECIFICALLY! This has happened to me multiple times and I am fed up with it. I WILL NOT go there anymore. The Layton stores staff is way nicer and a lot more helpful! Riverdale needs to train their staff better. One of their female supervisors and younger male supervisors are especially horrible! They are argumentative and wont even let you return certain things period, even if its within their normal return policy time frame and you have your receipt present. Enough is enough. Take a lesson from the Layton location!

I was really impressed with the smooth flow layout, organization, scanners, checkout and personnel asking if I needed help. One thing I didnt like was the dim dull lighting that gave me an anxious feeling to leave. The Layton store has cold drinks and snacks like cookies next to Starbucks by the front door that I can quickly buy to have while I shop. This Riverdale store has Icee drinks by Starbucks which is great for kids, but no cold drinks for adults. My grandkids missed getting a Pizza Hut pizza, soft pretzel or ice cream cone at this store.

We try to use the Layton Target when we can. It seems like the employees in Riverdale actively avoid interacting with customers in the aisle. The last visit we stood by a courtesy phone after paging for help for over 5 minutes before walking away. Somehow we were able to do a full lap around the store with out running into a single employee. We left without purchasing what we came to buy despite their website showing it in stock at this store.
