Ive always LOVED this location, but recently, whenever I go, there have always been MASSIVE problems with the staff... A cashier, Michelle, in particular. I have never before been so appalled... The past several times Ive gone, when checking out, I have been blatantly treated with absolute disrespect. The most recent time while attempting to check out a rather large book order, Michelle was not only extremely rude, but she refused to honor an in-store promotion I have been qualified for many times in the past, at numerous other Barnes and Noble locations, including this location in particular. I had originally gone to the checkout counter with around $70.00 worth of merchandise, but instead left with nothing. They have completely lost my business, not only through continuous poor customer service, but as well as utter negligence to their own promotions and sales. I, for one, will not be back...

I went into the store in orem utah tonight, like I do a lot but I an sorry to report that this will be the last time that I do so because of the way that I have been treated. The casher that I have is rude to me each and every time that I have the unfortunate to have her. SO tonight I choose to call and talk to the manager. And I feel that not only did the manger not make the problem better, but she made it worst by tell me that this casher is one of the best and nicest one that you have. One I know this to be a lie and two this statement just makes me think if this is the best then why is the world am I taking the time to come to a store to pay more for the books that I want when I will be treated like crap, when I can go some where else..

Love the store itself, but had a very poor experience with a café manager coming out and causing a scene when I purchased a coffee and sat down with the remainder of some fries from InnOut. (I like coffee and fries some days.) So I sat down with my coffee and what was left of these fries, and had the last 3 fries in my hand, and she bustles out of the back. She loudly proclaims to me that Im NOT TO EAT THOSE FRIES AND THROW THEM AWAY RIGHT NOW, NO OUTSIDE FOOD OR DRINK. Okay, didnt know, but... these are literally the last 3 fries, so Im not throwing them away. I explain this and eat them. She throws me out of the store. #reasonable

I was very exited when I found out that the Orem location had the 6 first Harry Potter books in Spanish. I placed and paid the order to be send to my father in TX. I was assured that my parents would receive them in 6 business days. They received the last 5 and the first book of the series hasn’t even been sent yet. I was told 3 different stories by the personal at B&N. The Manager was rude and unprofessional. They did not even apologize to me. The first book supposedly is going to arrive 18 days from today and my father cannot start reading because doesn‘t have that first book. How very disappointing!

I love the environment of Barnes & Noble. The literature selection is excellent, well-organized, and provides the opportunity to sit down and try out a book before deciding to purchase it. The prices are slightly higher than online ordering, so if you are looking for the cheapest place around, this is not the place for you. The customer service isnt always readily accessible, which doesnt personally bother me, as I enjoy taking my time in a bookstore. If you dont like the smell of coffee, that can be a downside also. That said, it is still my favorite local location for purchasing books.

I was blown away by the customer service I received from their staff. I wanted a specific issue of a magazine, which turns out to be very difficult to find. The store manager takes my name and number, and I begin to think, this is just like any other store, "Take down your number and we will call you back" never expecting to hear from the. The store manager called me twice to let me know the updates and got the specific issue I was looking for sent from another location. Two thumbs up! Thank you for delivering a wonderful experience. You will always have me as a loyal customer!

This review is for the cafe, They need to train there cashiers on the till... it took over ten minutes just to ring up my order and then it took another fifteen minutes to have the food ready. All they have to do is put the food in an oven and warm it up. The portions are small and cost a lot. The coffee doesnt taste like sewer water but is over-priced and under-flavored. I am being generous and giving three stars because this cafe is way a much nicer place to study than the Starbucks down the road.

I like this store and selection of different books and things but the constant "do you want to sign up for a card" when buying something is pretty annoying. I dont mind the first attempt but the following 2 are really annoying. "Do you want to sign up for a card" no, thank you "are you sure, you save 10% on everything" yes Im sure "that includes DVDs coffee etc" -_- no. It really makes me want to buy an iPad and just get ebooks

This is an outstanding store, in terms of size, range, feel and service! I have no link to this business but my observation is people coming to read without buying.. therell be no store here to enjoy in the future if everyone does that - if you find a book youll enjoy, then buy it! My wife and I spent a few hours in here and bought a few great books, with Starbucks included it was a very relaxing way to spend the afternoon..

I always love Barns and Noble and that they are one of the last places carrying real books. Its like a candy store for me to walk in and find a new book. Soft chairs for you to sit down and read in, coffee in the corner, and all around a great atmosphere. They are PACKED during the holidays but do so well managing it all. Staff is always helpful and all have personality and liveliness. Love this place, would recommend.

This is a pretty good bookstore. They have a great selection, and theyre organized in a way that makes it really nice for browsing. They push you a little too hard for memberships, even at the bookstore. And, theres always a pretty long line for chakcing out. And, nobody here knows very much about books. Its easier to Google info about books than to ask an employee about it. The coffee shop is pretty good.

I love this place. The employees are helpful but dont bug you unless you ask. So you can enjoy looking at the books without being interrupted. It is like being in a library but all the books are new. They have an amazing assortment of books. They are organized and easy to find subjects that you are interested in. I could spend hours here and spend all of my paycheck with how many books I want.

Love this place! A little on the pricey side, but the do have many special offers. The kids section is especially gratifying. My girls love coming here and picking new books/puzzles/games/toys/whatever! Their cafe is fun and light, and the coffee is yummy. This place is my favorite little hidden retreat, and an excellent incentive for my kids to learn to read.
