First off, if youre thinking "Oh, I dont care about customer service, as long as they buy my books for a decent price", RUN ANYWHERE ELSE. While I was there, I saw the storeowner giving people $20 for books in excellent condition that sell for ten times what he paid them. Second off, hes a jerk if youre the one doing the buying too! I was shopping for books online, saw one I needed on Amazon, noticed this store was the seller, and so I thought "Hey, I live two minutes away from there, Ill just buy it in person so I can have it now and not pay shipping". Walked into the store, found it on the shelf for almost $10 more than the Amazon price. Now I wasnt sure if I was remembering right, so I tried to check on my phone, but the page wouldnt pull up. So I asked him to put it on hold while I went home to double-check if I had the right book. He was very resistant, was kind of glaring at me, and just set the book on the counter where anyone could grab it. I was getting super weird vibes from him, I should have known not to go back. I come home, see that I was indeed remembering the right one according to the BYU booklist and my personal notes on my computer, but the Amazon ad seemed to have disappeared. I assumed he took it down because Id put it on hold. I come back to the store, explain the situation, and very politely ask to buy it at the price he had listed on Amazon. He immediately became angry and rude, demanding proof, throwing his hands in the air, and actually yelling at me. He said that that was not the price hed sold it on there for, and that someone else had already bought it anyway. I was confused since hed supposedly put it on hold, but then he clarified that it was a different copy, but that he was willing to CANCEL this other persons order to let me take someone elses book for that HIGHER price. I calmly said I was not interested, that that didnt seem right, and I politely asked to buy the in-store copy at the price hed advertised. He yelled at me some more, said things so unprofessional that my jaw dropped. I was fed up with him, so I just told him Id buy it at the in-store price, which with tax turned out to be almost $15 more than the Amazon price. I should have just left on principle and paid the extra $10 to buy it elsewhere. This guy thinks he conducted smart business but what he doesnt know is that before I entered the store, I had planned to come by the next day with a dozen expensive books in nearly perfect condition, which Im sure he would have made about $1500 off of altogether. You can bet thats not going to happen now! Dude, you think you made an easy $100 today, but your unprofessionalism lost you so much more. People, dont set foot in this store if you want to get your moneys worth or at least be treated with basic customer service, let alone human courtesy. The place is a pigsty anyway, there were wigs and all kinds of random crap spilling all over the floor.

Dont purchase a book from them on Amazon unless you are confident that you would not need to contact them for any reason. Tried to cancel my Amazon book order by sending them a message (only a few hours after shipping the order) and they ignored it, proceeding to ship the order anyway. When I sent a second email asking the details of their return policy (which includes 20% "restocking fee"), I was also ignored. Its been 10+ days since my messages. The customer service here is extremely poor (well, perhaps worse, it is nonexistent). I have seen reviews from some people who said their book never even arrived! So please buy with caution. If you are purchasing something expensive, I urge you to consider another merchant just to be safe.

Best bookstore I have been to in this area. Some of the other bookstores in the area charge way to much, and I have ALWAYS spent way less on books here. If you read my previous reviews, than you know I am honest about my reviews, as you can tell some of these reviews are fake. I am an actual student, I have been ripped off before at other stores, and the guys behind the counter at boomerang have always saved me a lot money. Best place to buy used text books. This is my first stop every quarter. One last thing is they offered me more money for my books than anyone else, and bought some of my stuff I thought had no value.

My first experience with Boomerang Books wasnt great. I saw a book they listed on Amazon, so I decided to go buy it at the store instead so I could have it right away. I went to the store and they didnt have it, so I told them it was on Amazon and they should take that down and they didnt seem to know it was posted there. My second experience was much better! I saw a book they posted on Amazon and I called in first to be sure they had it. They said they did, so I went in and it was there! The guy that was working was so friendly and nice. I just checked and they had taken it off of Amazon. Good work, guys.

BEWARE!!! Anywhere else will give you more money! Customer service is the worst and the owner is very shady. Please take you money elsewhere if you are in the market for text books. Also dont buy a book from him on amazon. P.S. that review below saying the place was great is lying. It probably is the owner himself. All of the one star reviews dont lie. Also you know real students having bad experiences will go straight to social media (aka here) to leave bad reviews. Youve been warned!

This Company lists books for sale that they dont even have in stock. I bought a book from them and a week later they hadnt shipped it or contacted. I heard nothing so i followed up with an email and they said they couldnt ever get ahold of the book. So they put me behind another week in class. I wouldnt recommend.

Yeah, the guy that works there is kind of a jerk. I brought in my biology book in perfect condition- I got it for $120, and he said hed give it to me for $24. Wasnt very pleased, and his customer service was crap. Told him how much I paid for it, he said he didnt care and wouldnt budge on the $24.

Went in today to sell back a book and the man at the front desk was shockingly rude. Two hours later my friend had the same experience. You want business? Dont scare away customers. Not a chance ill go back in there ever again.

Yeah the guy who runs this place is super rude to customers... not to mention watching him push over a lady at DI opened while running to the book section. Craziness. Just sell your books on Amazon people!

Theyre like the Unkar Plutt of used books. I went there with 6 books that were pretty nice but only received 1/4 portion. But, they called the other bookstore for me to reserve a book I needed.

Very friendly and give much more money back than the other sell back books places around. I know it still isnt near what the books are bought for, but the UVU bookstore is a scam.
