Whatever you do, dont order a book from here that is not in stock. I made that mistake. I ordered/paid for a book back on November 26th and they told me it was just "one day transit" which apparently means it would only take one day to get to their store for me to pick it up. After almost a week went by I decided to just call and see if they might have written my number down wrong since I had not heard from anyone. They told me it was still showing in the system that it had not shipped and they had no idea on when it would actually happen. However, they did say they were very good to call once it did arrive as if that was really awesome. It must be impossible to check with your inventory to get an update. Needless to say, I went over to Seagull Book today and just bought it since I doubt it will ever come in. I will be swinging by to hopefully get my refund but after that wont be purchasing anything from Deseret Book again.

This is a store to purchase Christian paintings, statues, and other artwork, owned by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. They also have articles for learning some other languages, principally Spanish, and journals. They have other artwork relating to their church, Prophets, Temples, and the Book of Mormon. On one side of this building there is also a distribution center for the white clothing that LDS members use when in the temple, where the clothing without color or stain represents purity. The workers are happy to answer questions about their Church. If you are looking for a gift for a missionary, this is also a great place to search.

Such a wonderful place! Great Christian music, books and artwork. An amazing place to explore ways of coming closer to Christ Jesus. The staff is so wonderful, I like to ask when Im being helped how they like working here, and I have never received an answer besides that they love it. Friendly and helpful staff, and wonderful products, I always feel great as I spend more money than I was planning, but have never regretted it also. The store is run by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (commonly called Mormons), but has many things for any Christ Jesus loving, or curious, person.

Focused around the LDS Church, this business caters to the general public as well. I was able to pick up an awesome nativity set for my wife last year and they have a large book selection, supplies and market. No questions or pressure if you are not LDS. It will be hard to find an employee who wont help you.

This is also a LDS Distribution center & has the same hours as the book store which is nice that its open later than the Mesa Distribution Center. Itd be nice if that could be updated in the title on Google maps so its easier to search for for the first time goer.

I love being in this place. Its always clean, well merchandised and the staff is friendly. My only complaint is its way too easy to spend money. And besides, they give you free socks on your birthday.
